Jalen Brunson foul “Should have been called” admits Crew Chief Ed Malloy | Players respond | Knicks

Nicks family what’s popping it’s your boy Sim ladies and gentlemen crew chief Ed Malloy of the Nicks vers Rockets game last night admitted they got the call wrong and you know which call I’m talking about ladies and gentlemen the foul call on Jaylen Brunson that gave Aaron holiday three

Shots to win the game for the Houston Rockets Brunson had just come from knocking down a mid-range jumper over Dylan Brooks to tie the game at 103 the ball comes back the other way the Rockets miss one shot the loose ball bounces out to Aaron holiday he picks it

Up and tries to heave it towards the rim Jaylen Brunson contest the shot and you can argue that he shouldn’t have contested the shot but he did and he did not foul Aaron holiday but he was called for a foul holiday knocks down two free throws misses the Third on

Purpose the Rockets winning game 105 to 103 now Fred Katz ladies and gentlemen of the athletic conducted the pool Report interview and he interviewed crew chief Ed Malloy and he asked the following questions the first question why was there a shooting foul called on Jaylen Brunton against Aaron holiday and the

Rockets final possession of the game and Malloy responded this way in live action it was felt that the lower body contact was illegal cats followed up by asking after seeing the replay do officials believe it was the correct call and on your screen ladies and gentlemen this is Ed maloy’s response

After seeing it during postgame review the offensive player was able to return to a normal playing position on the floor the contact which occurred after the release of the ball therefore is incidental and marginal to the shot attempt and should not have been called here’s my issue and you heard it

On the postgame show referees are going to make mistakes they’re not going to make every call it’s real time it’s hard to see what is actually happening on the floor and what call should be made we get that but in situations like this the review process should allow the crew chief the referees

Whoever to overturn this call what’s the point of the review process if you cannot overturn a call in a situation that will decide the outcome of the game and this clearly decided the outcome come of the basketball game and I don’t know if the Knicks will protest or can protest or what those

Rules are but this is terrible officiating I don’t want to say terrible officiating they made a call the the entire game was terrible officiating but they made a call that wasn’t a good call but the review process did not allow for them to change the call and make it

Right because all they could review was whether or not the foul supposed foul came before or after time elapsed it’s bad work ladies and gentlemen it’s bad work I think that needs to be changed the NBA’s got to take a look at that during the off season they’ve got to and listen Nick’s

Players weren’t happy about about it can you blame him I’d be pissed super pissed Josh Hart all he could do is respond with no way bro laughing emojis and then precious and you know what I don’t even know if this was I don’t know he just responded with nasty

Work that could have been the entire refereeing of the game or could have been what he just heard from Ed Malloy because you know the time it was about 11:30 p.m. when when he when he posted that last night either way it would be deserved ladies and gentlemen the Knicks

Needed that basketball game uh there’s no guarantee they were going to win the game in over time but it was taken from them they didn’t have the chance to even think about over time because it was taken away it was stripped bad called by the referees bad work by the

Referees but I will finish by saying the Knicks should not have been in that situation no doubt about it you left it in the hands of the referees and you cannot do that because you see that these NBA referees sometimes have blinders on or something anyway ladies and gentlemen I

Appreciate your time I’m up out of here be peaceful and I’ll talk to you real soon I’m out this is nbk nothing but Nicks when s pass the assist you know that it’s number one show that breaks down the game if you can’t play defense stay

Out my way dribble the ball come down the lane 5 seconds on the shot clock who going win is the game you want to hear Nick updates and trade rumors post game reviews just the place you tune in so tell a friends just to keep the ball

Moving like the page if you feeling the movement every game we coming to win give us a sub like a player that came off the bench this is nbk nothing but Nicks oh

The Knicks lost to the Rockets 105 – 103 behind a bad call from the refs and the referees admit the call was wrong!

  1. Smh. These are "good losses" and before anyone says theres no such thing as good losses doesnt understand the true experience of being a champion. All the greats, Jordan, Lebron, Kobe, Shaq etc etc… had "good losses" before they became champs! Nevertheless… in life just like in sports.. never give ur life to "win" to anybody else! Lets go Knicks

  2. Even though it was a terrible call, isn't that why players are taught not to jump at anyone shooting a 3 pointer? I see that happen a lot in college and the NBA. Players get called for fouls for jumping at a 3 point shooter.

  3. Please, are we really complaining about a call? We are supposed to be a championship caliber team. Why was the game so close? 🤷 This is a team that won 20 games last season. We just need to win convincingly, and this doesn't happen.

  4. Inside 2 mins and Overtime all controversial calls are only replay by refs. That was a hugh reviewable play. No challenges by coaches was needed.

  5. As long as they allow Gambling on these sports legally. Every game is in questioning. This will be a problem forever .Games being thrown , players stats and points . Someone made off with a lot of loot after this game. Enough said .
