These NBA Players Aren’t What We Thought…

These NBA Players Aren’t What We Thought…

What do all of these NBA players have in common well first of all they’ve been major disappointments in the NBA they all share that but they also share one major thing that they’ve all failed to do since being drafted and that’s to create a winning environment and it’s

Turned out to be a major problem take Jordan P for example he left the championship Golden State Warriors and got his own team in the Washington Wizards Washington had nothing going on at the time they were terrible Kevin Garnett even said Jordan pool was the new James Harden and had a chance to

Lead the league in scoring and since then he’s gotten booed by his own crowd on multiple occasions become the new javil McGee in terms of making plays and maybe had the worst year of his career so far not only has he been a major disappointment on the court but off the

Court he’s been a cancer in the locker room coming in as the star with championship experience he was supposed to be a leader but instead he’s been cocky thinks he’s too good and is still making the same dumb mistakes that he was making in in Golden state that they

Had to babysit him for on what seemed to be like a nightly basis and if we look back at all the times the Warriors had to check Jordan P for his attitude and terrible basketball decisions it shouldn’t have been a surprise that this is how things have turned out sure it’s

The first year we couldn’t expect anyone to turn around the terrible Washington Wizards in just a single season but this is very different than when James Harden left the OKC Thunder for the Houston Rockets and there’s no change in sight pool shouldn’t be out there looking like he always desperately needs a veteran

Player to keep him in check and that’s become a common theme for young teams in the league because a lot of the problems Jordan pool and the Wizards have are very similar to what lamelo ball and the Charlotte Hornets are having clearly lamelo is a great player I think he’s

Been every bit of what we expected him to be since coming into the league and Allstar averaging 258 and five when healthy on solid shooting numbers when he’s on the court we can’t be mad at what he’s given us and while he hasn’t even been on the court much in the last

2 years due to ankle injuries that’s not even the problem the problem is the culture in Charlotte when lamelo signed his massive extension he told the GM that winning and making the playoffs was their top priority Terry roier gets traded to the Heat and tells us something we all already knew the

Charlotte Hornet’s DNA is to lose and it’s just expected there it’s a bunch of buch of young guys that have never seen wins in the NBA all playing together and not caring about how bad they are but as the former third overall pick on a Max contract this is supposed to be lamelo’s

Job to put everyone in their place and change that culture the star player is supposed to lead the way and he’s done a terrible job at that sitting on the bench joking and laughing while getting blown out by the Knicks isn’t a good look Brandon Miller shouldn’t come in as

A rookie and be taking on that role of yelling at his teammates and taking the game more serious maybe it’s just me but it seems like he might be the worst possible superstar to be playing for the Hornet and again he’s always been this way so this isn’t something we didn’t

See coming on the other hand Kate Cunningham’s an unusual one because while he was a first overall pick he seemed to have done everything right he’s been putting in the work he cares about winning he cares about getting better and stayed out of any off Court trouble his games improved every season

And in year three he’s putting up career highs across the board but he’s failed to make his team better in this historically Bad season the Detroit Pistons put up the longest losing streak of all time and are sitting at a record of 3 and 37 when Kate Cunningham plays

And four and six when he doesn’t so they win 40% of their games without him and 7% with him it makes it one of the wildest stats going on today so it’s not that the Pistons are terrible and can’t win but at least right now they just

Can’t win with Cade it seems like the classic case of a team playing more team basketball with better ball movement and accountability when there’s not a star on the court so for Kate and the Pistons to succeed and take the next step they’re going to have to figure out how

To win with him just as much Zion Williamson’s another first overall pick that’s failed to properly turn his team around letting the first overall pick in the NBA draft is supposed to be a game changer it’s supposed to take a bad team and set them in the right direction

Going forward well that hasn’t happened because zans failed to stay healthy has had issues with his weight and gotten into a lot of sticky situations off the court these are all disaster scenarios for our first overall pick it’s now year five for him and it still feels like

We’ve never even gotten to see what he can really do and because of all of this his game hasn’t improved at all since he’s been drafted I feel like most teams and fans have already given up hope on him even though he’s only 23 it’s been clear that Williamson’s failed to turn

The Pelicans around and it doesn’t look like he’s going to anytime soon and speaking of failed first overall picks there’s also been Simmons but he’s not even worth talking about anymore one that still is though barely is DeAndre Aon the Suns took him with the first

Pick back in 2018 and he averaged 16 and 10 through his 5 years there promising numbers for a young upand cominging Center so people thought Phoenix was crazy when they traded him over the offseason for just use of nage but now DeAndre is starting to get exposed and

The Sun actually aren’t looking so bad after all the man played great in Phoenix while he was there but there was constantly problems between him and Devon Booker and himself in the front office so when he gets moved and becomes the number one overall pick and only Max

Contract level player on the Portland Trailblazers he was supposed to take it upon himself to have the best year of his career lead by example and do everything he can to make that team better but instead his first quote as a member of the Blazers was I have nothing

To prove in this league why I’m a max player and I’ll continue to be a max player the last thing you want your supposed Superstar to say is that they have nothing left to prove because they already got paid when in reality he never proved much of anything at all he

Got paid largely off of potential has never been a great defender and has been forgettable as a first pick so now he’s averaging career lows across the board and already looking like he fell off and the recent report about him makes things even worse it says he’s failed to

Impress during his early stin in Portland his first months there were to find by tardiness and Tantrums and there’s been an eerie resemblance to Hassan Whiteside the former Blazer CER who statistics looked nice but had little to no impact on the game and this would just be a report we could all move

Past but thanks to that initial quote it’s actually believable and that’s a major problem his teammate scoot Henderson failed to live up to his hype thus far too of course it’s only his rookie season by no means is he a draft bust yet and there’s still plenty of

Times for things to change but for now the player that declared he was going for the Rookie of the Year award hasn’t been anywhere close to in the discussion with everyone who has drafted around him playing at a much higher level it’s interesting that scoo was one of the

Very few players that has chosen to go the g-league route instead of overseas or college and now he’s struggling big time it makes you wonder if that was the right choice in his first few games he couldn’t finish around the rim Couldn’t Shoot threes had too many turnovers

Fouls and mistakes and really couldn’t do anything right It’s just tough times for Portland right now to have two players that aren’t living up to the hype there’s definitely a chance he turns things around but as we know there’s also still a big chance he never

Does I think I have hope though there’s been some bright spots this season where he’s had some big games Andrew Wiggins was another player that had a bad start to his career his Timberwolves days were rough but once he got to Golden State everything started to click and he broke

Out becoming a firsttime Allstar but just two years later now he’s mysteriously fell off again he came into the league having as much hype and expectations as anyone did since LeBron James and we found out quickly that he wasn’t going to live up to them that he

Was missing whatever it took for him to be a superstar player whether it was the work ethic the size and ability or the mindset Andrew Wiggins just didn’t have it but when he broke out in Golden State all the noise around him stopped if he was wasn’t going to be a superstar a

Second or third option with lockdown defense on a championship team was good enough it was enough to save his reputation and be acceptable of him being a first overall pick but to see that that only lasted 2 years well now he’s back to being called the bum the

Man had a 2-year Prime where he actually somewhat lived up to all the hype I guess it could always come back but it’s been while to see virtually nothing else change on the roster but now he loses his starting spot to a much younger guy that’s essentially the exact same player

Just a better version of him I really thought Andrew was going to make a longlasting name for himself in Golden State but maybe not he’s not the only player though that failed to live up to the hype in recent years because for years bub had all the fans support in

The world people wanted to see him succeed and become the next Kevin Durant what Victor win Bama is today people thought bubo was going to be especially Shaq who’s been very vocal about us ever since he was drafted for years he said he was the real deal and these days he

Still says he’s just as good as Victor but it’s gotten to the point now where even sha turned his back on him he still goes on record and says B’s just as good as Victor but he’s just lazy well that’s a huge red flag already because believe

It or not B’s in year five now and Victor’s still a rookie so he should be way ahead of the game by now and even now playing alongside Kevin Durant who’s the perfect Mentor for him it’s not doing it I’ve seen a few of the very

Limited games he’s been a part of and it’s so bad there’s nothing there on offense and on defense teams attack him James Harden licked his lips right in his face when he started guarding him seriously I don’t know what’s keeping bull in the league but he looks like the

Nastas when he’s out there I hope he does great things but he’s definitely no to wanyama and his chance to become a star has kind of come and gone

We expected more from these players… but we never got it.

  1. Ayton over Luka on the draft night was moronic from the Suns. Luka is the kind of player that only comes once in a generation, youngest EuroLeague MVP, always playing against older players, etc…

  2. cade doesn't deserve to be here the pistons have been super incompetent as a franchise and have done a disservice to cade

  3. I don't think that the Cade stat indicates nothing significant. It's just smoke to hide the bigger problem which is the Piston's inability to make anything significant of their assets for the last 15 years or so.

Also, Zion isn't all that bad this year, regarding his injury prone past. He's averaging 22,5,5 with 59% FG and 36% 3pt for a 5th seed Pelicans (who currently have the same record as the suns btw). Sure, he's not the superstar he was supposed to be (hopefully yet) but he's on the right path.

  4. Hot take: Ant is better than Shai and Luka

Minnesota so the 1 seed and that’s cause Ant is CARRYING! Shai and Luka are on worse teams and there stats are only good because of obvious foul baiting and fake stats

  5. I don’t agree with the lamelo take he has arguably one of the worst GM in the league and has been injured multiple times. The use of ‘lack of leadership’ isn’t a far take as he can have the heart of MJ and they still get blown out by 20. He needs the hornets to make moves a look like they going in a direction. Like what Indiana is doing for Tyrese haliburton.

  6. I hate the LaMelo Ball hate his second season they were in the play in and he hasn’t been completely completely 100% ever since and he’s still 22😭 Steph had the same problem

  7. Stop over hyping draft picks and high school kids. Stop hyping highlight players. Nothing LaMelo does translates to wins. He puts up empty, hollow fantasy stats. What Anthony Edwards and SGA are doing is the standard for greatness.

  8. What is Lamelo doing here??? Did we NOT just see him average like 28/8/7 on amazing efficiency for an entire month?????? He isn’t going to change a culture in 1 year, it took Dfox SIX years to take the Kings to the play-in
