Shai’s style is undisputed, his car choices are as well.
This season Shai has only driven two different cars to home games (to my knowledge) there are still three unknown dates (11/1, 11/3, 12/27) when the car he drove wasn’t pictured pre-game.
The car he drives the majority of the time is a Mercedes G63 AMG. Think of this as just a daily driver for Shai. Soccer-mom-Shai, if you will.
He has driven this car for 18/27 of the Thunder’s home games this season (I’m leaving out the 3 unknown car games). In those 18 games the Thunder have a 15-3 home record.
When the car is unknown the Thunder have a 1-2 home record (!!!!!!!!!)
And now for the car that caused me to dive into this topic. The Mercedes Maybach S680 Virgil Abloh, nicknamed by popular artist DJ Khaled, “Cappucino”. (Pictured above).
It seems Shai knows to only break out this fine German vehicle for special occasions.
Shai has only driven Cappucino 6 times to home games this season, most of which are big games.
In those 6 games the Thunder are 6-0 (!!!!!!!) at home with wins against: LAC, Denver, Boston, LAC again (revenge Cappucino szn), Utah, and Detroit (home opener).
His numbers aren’t crazy different compared to G63 games, but he is still averaging above his averages at 32.3 PPG/6.3 RPG/5.8 APG.
TLDR; Shai and the Thunder are undefeated when he drives his Mercedes Maybach S680 Virgil Abloh, aka “Cappucino”
