Reaction to Lakers’ comeback win: What LeBron did defies logic – Tim Legler | SC with SVP

As the Lakers get a win that I don’t know if anybody other than the guys in New Jerseys believe was possible in this time of the year as we inch towards the spring every win is important we’ll visit with Anthony Davis here in just a bit Tim legler is

Alongside I always say the thing about we take what we’d say in the room and bring it to the set we’re about to talk about how Lakers can’t win a playoff series they’re ordinary they’re this they’re that the other thing all right let’s let’s take and put it to the side

For a minute this specific performance makes you think or say what about this specific performance yeah all of those things are still true about the Lakers but what you saw tonight was really an unsustainable way to have to play offensively and I this is a brutal loss

For the Clippers you always want to give credit to the guy that took over the game LeBron was absolutely Sensational to be able to do that this deep into his career and play that way that was an oldfashioned game what we call rise and shine rise and shine is a game play one

Onone at the top of the key everybody’s got a single file line under basket you score you stay on that’s what LeBron turned that into in the fourth quarter and he was allowed to operate in that space at first they were daring him to make shots he made shots they finally

Decided to start hitting him with some double teams but there wasn’t great organization to what they were doing and LeBron with his size and and velocity on the ball was able to get it to the opposite side Big Shots by hachimura Big Shot by D’Angelo Russell to help him out

When he needed it so LeBron basically put this entire team on his back for an entire quarter had this historic comeback it’s every bit as much a bad loss for the Clippers as it is a good win for the Lakers there’s no question about that because nothing the Clippers

Did resembled anything that was organized in the fourth quarter on either end of the floor having said all of that hey give LeBron credit but that’s not a sustainable way to win and that’s what we were talking about upstairs they Define mediocrity like there’s nothing the Lakers really do

That’s remarkable except for LeBron James being able to do something like that and the times he’s a able to do that are not as often as they were you know four or five years ago Scott but just to have that club in the bag still at this stage of the game you we’ve

Known each other a long time I’m not the guy that’s going to be hyperbolic but I mean I we we’ve never seen the guy is one thing but never seen a guy at this age still have that kind of top shelf gear have we no it’s a it’s that what he

Did tonight just defies all Logic for so many reasons number one he’s not even playing in that space of the floor that’s not his wheelhouse that’s not his comfort zone first secondly you know you would think like stamina would be a factor for a player this deep into their

Career it’s just not for LeBron James he showed it again tonight um and then his ability to adjust on the fly when the double teams start coming there are very few players in this league that are going to get the ball from point A to

Point B the areas of the Flor that he did tonight on time on point to those Shooters to give them an opportunity that they’re you know semi contested rather than contested there’s only a few guys in the league that can make those passes at that time with that much

Velocity on it so you’re right to still have that club in your bag is is Sensational and he he defies logic we Marvel Adam so often and tonight was a performance that I don’t think any of us thought maybe we’d see again out of LeBron James to do that against a very

Good team a team that’s on a short list of teams that really has a chance to contend and win the whole thing we were laughing about this the other day about about Michael Jordan on the back end of a career in the Wizards Jersey it wasn’t

Like he had a beer belly and played in a fishing hat but he wasn’t who he was in Chicago whole lot of turnaround jumpers in the post and that that step back and create that space not vertically but horizontally right but it’s it’s it’s just astounding to see this version of

James at this age be very much maybe not as same as explos explosivity at The Rim but just the capacity still when you got a whiff of the chance to win the game to grab the thing like that that that you got to appreciate the moment you

Definitely do and and he is the reason we still follow the Lakers watch the Lakers keep an eye on the Lakers no matter how they play because they have him and Anthony Davis when he plays well at the top of your roster when you have that and guys that can win whatever is

In front of them on a given night you still pay attention to them and you still think hey they’re always going to have a puncher chance the only thing I’ll say to that is this is is more of a Minefield in the Western Conference than

What they faced a year ago this is going to be a gauntlet to try to run through out of a playin situation and think you’re going to end up in the Conference Finals the totally different animal in the west this Year

Tim Legler joins SVP in studio to react to the Los Angeles Lakers overcoming a 21-point deficit in the second half to beat the LA Clippers.

  1. "Defies logic"… Really?
Have they not seen great players play out of their mind before? Because it happens…
Now, if Jaxson Hayes had done what Lebron did, that would defy logic. 😉
But Lebron is a great player. He's not my GOAT, but I think most people (not counting haters) will agree he's top 5+.
For him to have incredible moments, even at his age, isn't defying logic. It's impressive tho…
Now, if he played this way for pretty much every game left this season at his age, then that would be defying logic. 🙂
He's a great player who had a great game. Sounds logical to me…

  2. Lebrick don’t shoot 3s so those are lucky shots. Send him to the line he’s 60% man got lucky and acting like he ray allen or curry smh 🤦🏽‍♂️
Clippers run LA and no PG and Zu

  3. This is why I always say A.D. has to play dominate for a entire season in order for the Lakers to be contenders of course 39 year old James can't do this every night (silly haters) this was a great team win. 🐐 👑 James

  4. Every time he does something great they bring up he can’t sustain this , like man come on

  5. I really hate how proud of himself Lebron is after every ball he makes. Ive never seen someone celebrate every shot they make like he does. Dude is an egomaniac.

  6. Yes…LBJ will give it to you in spurts. Problem is he can’t maintain it especially during a series. And, they have to play a slower pace when he is in for the same reason.

  7. Jesus nobody rides harder for Lebron than ESPN. They want us to love Lebron so badly. Which makes me hate him even more. Long time Laker fan and i dont even like my own team right now.

  8. That man sold his soul to the devil there’s no almost 40 year old man ever alive kept that much energy, stamina or health

  9. This western conference is cap 😂 no names and westbrick all at the top of the rankingsi guess the elites are gettinf so old the cant even count any more because lakers are acting as the number one seed rn judt like they were projected to lose last season and went to the finals

  10. Oh boy, SAS told Shannon the lakers would get whooped and now Sharpe’s gonna talk so much tomorrow 😂

  11. Daily WOW(words of wisdom)
Lions are, by nature, peaceful creatures. The only thing that provokes the ferocity they are commonly associated with is endangering their cubs.
Predictable, LeBron James is beyond pissed off at the levels of scrutiny and disrespect that are being directed at his eldest son LeBron James Jr. The commentators and pundit that thought it "cute" to go after King James' heir to the throne have in fact guaranteed the destruction of every team that stands in front LBJ for the rest of this season.

  12. Legler be hating on Lebron and the Lakers EVERY DAY EVERY YEAR, but I do agree, Lebron shouldn't have to turn it up like this all the time… he used to do this ALL the time when younger

  13. When ESPN going to talk about his PED usage? League protects him ESPN protects him we really living in a commie world it’s crazy. YouTube most likely will delete this. It’s all fake. Wake up.

  14. Lakers could beat anybody in a best of 7. No offense to OKC or Minnesota but no team is Afraid of them and they'd both be early outs. Dallas, suns, clippers, kings. Lakers would beat. The only team that continues to pose problems for the Lakers are the nuggets. But if Bron and AD are healthy and at there best and Reaves, DLO, Rui are playing as well as they have then the Lakers have potential to go on a deep playoff run like last season.

  15. Lakers are a hard team to beat when health. James needs to sit next game. Same old Clippers! Bring back Cp3 next year, or just start the rebuild. Being honest neither team is going any where

  16. You can tell Rui, AR & DLo’s confidence is SKY HIGH right now, AD has been playing like an all star/defensive player of the year level all season, TP has been consistent all year shooting 40% from 3, Dimwiddie will only get more comfortable, don’t let the lakers go on a winning streak & get healthy bruh say what you want about them but nobody outside of the Nuggets should be confident going against them….LeBron is the GOAT btw 😭

  17. These men don't want to really give LeBron the credit he deserves. Always an exception instead of just acknowledging his greatness
