Regrading The Season’s BIGGEST NBA Trades One Month After The Deadline…

Regrading The Season’s BIGGEST NBA Trades One Month After The Deadline…

The NBA’s trade deadline went down a little over one full month ago and I’ll admit it was much more underwhelming than most of us thought it would be there weren’t really any massive Blockbuster deals that went down right at the deadline but there have been

Quite a few of those kind of deals that have happened over the course of the Season that we haven’t really discussed in a while and that brings us to today’s video today we’ll be going through the four biggest trades that have happened this season and we’ll be regrading them

And revisiting them now that we’ve actually seen how things are shaking out with the players in their new homes some deals have been helping way more than originally thought While others are actually backfiring a little bit before we start though it turns out a good amount of you watching right now aren’t

Even subscribed to the channel so if you enjoy the content consider hitting the Subscribe Button as not only does it help out a ton but it also very much appreciate it now with that being said let’s begin the first trade we’ll be revisiting today is the deal that kicked

The season off being the one that sent Jam Harden to the Clippers and with the full details of this trade being on your screen the new grades for this trade are an A minus for the Clippers and a C+ for the 76ers yes this was technically a three team trade but the Thunder

Involvement was clearly not the main focus so the grades only go to the two primary groups involved at the time this trade went down it originally looked like the Clippers had made a big mistake bringing Harden in and threw off the chemistry a little bit for the first

First five games as they lost the first five games that he played with them but as the season progressed he settled in very nicely the Clippers shifted their lineups a bit to maximize the talent that they had and put Harden in positions to succeed and now they’re in

Fourth place in the Western Conference standings looking like legitimate contenders at full strength they’ve been looking for a floor General point guard for pretty much the entirety of the Kawhi Leonard Paul George era and this season they now have two of them with Harden and Westbrook lead the second

Unit the only reason their grade isn’t a higher variation of an a is because there are still some matchups where their lack of front Court depth and size hurt them which is of course what they traded away in order to get Harden but all in all it’s been well worth it as

For the 76ers their grade has fallen a bit since it all went down mostly because of what they were hoping to accomplish with it Nicholas patum and Robert Covington are both very solid rotational pieces with skill sets that fit alongside Joel embiid nicely and for a while things were going pretty well

The issue though is that Joel embiid is now injured and the team may have to shift their focus to next season because of it the two first round picks that the Sixers got do a lot of the heavy lifting for this grade here and of course getting players that will ultimately

Help them free up cap space for the summer is nice but all in all it didn’t quite go to plan for them the next trade we’ll be revisiting today is the one that sent OG an anobi to the Knicks with the full details of that trade on your

Screen and the grades now one month after the trade deadline are an a for the Knicks and a B+ for the Raptors I’ll be honest when this deal first went down my initial gut feeling was that the Raptors would come away as the bigger beneficiar is but now that we’ve seen

Things play out a bit it’s looking like the opposite ogn and Obi has been an absolutely perfect fit with the Knicks and although he was just dealing with an injury that held him out for about a month when he’s been on the court the Knicks have actually looked Unstoppable

He’s played in just 15 games with the Knicks so far but in those games the team has been smoking their opposition winning 13 of those 15 games and specifically with anobi on the court they’ve been taking their dominance to another level I promise this is a real

Stat when I say that the Knicks are beating teams by 26.3 points per 100 possessions when OG anobi is on the court so as long as the Knicks get fully healthy in time for the playoffs they’re going to be in contention for sure and this trade is

Going to be at the heart of it now as for the Raptor side of things they definitely still came away pretty well from the deal RJ Barrett and Emanuel quickley are two very good young players that fit into their new timeline and should both continue to have more

Opportunities to flourish as Raptors the reason why the Raptor grade isn’t quite on par with the Nicks is because ultimately they waited too long to trade anobi when it was obvious for a while that wasn’t a part of their long-term plans and because of that they missed

Out on the opportunity to get one or two first round picks in addition to their Hall the lack of draft capital in their return isn’t great but Barrett and quickly still make it worthwhile the next trade will be revisiting is the one that sent Pascal cakam to the Pacers

With the full details being on the screen and the grades now one month after the deadline are a B for the Pacers and an a for the Raptors the Pacers started this year on a ridiculous ous offensive Pace that was on track to make history as the best offensive

Rating the league has ever seen they were also winning quite a bit and put themselves in the hunt for the playoffs so with all of that momentum that they built they went out and made this trade for cakam as a win now move hoping to elevate themselves into that next tier

Of Eastern Conference Contender the issue though is that the move hasn’t really been the Difference Maker that they hoped it would be it’s not even that cakam has been a bad fit it’s just been a bit Mony at times and he and Tyrese halberton are still figuring out

How to play with each other since then the Pacers have lost their spot as the League’s number one ranked offense getting passed up by Boston they’re still in the range of the standings where they could fall into the play in tournament and looking at some of the

Impact metrics that there are they show that the team isn’t even performing at its best with cakam on the court which is kind of a problem ultimately this was a long-term play so they still have plenty of time to make it work but the grade being a be is something that they

Were hoping would be much better as for the Raptors they had a home run with this deal the relationship between cakam and the organization had clearly soured by the time it came to an end so the fact that they were able to secure three first round picks for cakam who by the

Way was on an expiring contract is as good as it gets honestly they’re looking to the Future and did as well as they could have given the circumstances now it’s up to them to put those assets to use and finally the last big trade will be regrading today 1 month after the

Trade deadline is the deal that sent Terry roier to the heat with the full details on your screen and the grades here are a B minus for the Heat and a B+ for the Hornets the heat were struggling on the offensive end of the ball early

On in the season so when they made this trade it seemed like a match made in heaven on paper roier was the perfect jolt of scoring production that they needed but unfortunately for them basketball is played on hardwood not on pap and the reality has been much more underwhelming for them roier was

Averaging 23 points per game in Charlotte but has been putting up just 15 points per game in his time in Miami so far and the fit has not been nearly as ideal as they hoped the thing about roier is that he’s always been most effective creating off the dribble with

The freedom to shoot threes at a high volume off the dribble in Charlotte he was actually shooting a higher percentage on his three-point shots that were off the dribble than the ones that he shot in spot up situations and the problem has been that in Miami he’s now

Trying to fit into a reduced role where he’s not as much of a focal point and his play style has also clashed a bit with what Tyler hero brings to the table the heat are still in just eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings they’re still ranked in the bottom third

Of the league offensively and they’re actually 6 and 1 half points worse per 100 possessions with roier on the court for the Hornets they didn’t necessarily get much back in return as they ended up buying Kyle Lowry out of his contract shortly after his arrival but a first

Round pick is always a nice bonus and it also got rosier’s Hefty contract off of their books and with that being said that’s all I have for you today make sure to like the video subscribe to the channel and comment down below what you think about these trades in hindsight

  1. 76ers should at least deserve a B+ for the harden trade. They got off of P.J.'s contract, they received 2 first round picks and 2 seconds, they flipped Marcus Morris and one of the seconds for buddy hield and they'll have enough cap room to sign a max contract caliber player this summer. That's a win in my book despite how well James harden is doing for the clippers.

  2. The Knicks side of the deal was great! When you consider how great Achiuwa has been in the absence of so many players you see that this deal is bigger than OG. A+ on my book!

  3. Rozier has to settle in to the system it'll take time. Also, Kyle Lowry was a $31mil player giving us 7ppg & barely playing. Dude was the worst trade in Miami Heat history. Removing him from our roster was pivotal.

  4. The Mavs trades for PJ & Gafford are more important than the trade Miami did for Rozier. The Mavs spent the most on the trade deadline and they are not mentioned in this video.

  5. Man the fact nobody brings up the BIGGEST trade deadline fleece bothers me.. OKC still a great team but by GODDDDDDD the Hornets fleeced the LIFE out of them.. PLUS they signed Poku.. Bertans, Mann, Micic (and basically Poku) for the 25m a year corpse of Gordon Hayward is CRAZY..

  6. As a raptors fan I have to say you got those two trades totally backwards.

Quickley and RJ have looked amazing for us and we got probably pick 31 or 32. There was no world we ever would’ve gotten that + frps for OG
The siakam trade is mid. We got Brown who’s been awful, Nwora who barely plays, Pacers picks (this year in a bad draft) that will likely be mid to late first (+ there are protections)

You got the grades totally backwards

  7. Kinda hilarious how many pisspoor analysts and delusional heat fans boosted the rozier trade as some epic move making them top notch. Just goes to show how little these so called experts actually get right.

  8. This better be clickbait no way in hell Rozier is an F lmao the fact that they got off of Lowry for him is a positive in itself

  9. C+ for Philly is kinda harsh, coz they unleased Maxey's potential and removed a poison from the organization that Harden have started to be

  10. Pretty much every single nba fan/commentator who was not a Knicks fan or commentator yelled to the heavens than the Knicks got jerked in that trade 😂

  11. I think because playoff and regular season basketball is so different I think for the pacers bucks and the heat we won’t know the impact until the playoffs.

They got these guys bc they can get buckets down the stretch of the playoffs not really for the regular season

  12. Rozier is in a bit of a shooting slump but if he turns it around before the playoffs the trade will be an A for the heat

  13. Rozier is a clear upgrade over Lowry even though he hasn’t been as efficient as we wish. Lowry was absolutely ass so the fact they were able to trade him at all is worthy of at least a B
