The news right away here unfortunately RJ bear is out for this one I imagine for a number of games here uh very sad and very tragic his his brother unfortunately passed passed away at only 19 years old uh so absolutely thoughts are with him uh him and his family in

This very troubling times man um you got to cherish every day absolutely you never know it’s uh it’s a hor it’s horrible I can’t imagine what RJ has been going through the past few weeks dealing with all of this and especially right now same with the family again

Yeah it’s uh it’s a Friday night stream here um Sunday I I probably won’t be in in indulging as much as I would be now uh what I have done in previous years on stream I typically don’t drink Guinness but once a year before I say Patty’s Day

Beside I went all right I’ll go for a harp uh fun fact in first year of University and I was still figuring out my taste overall for beer um not my enjoyment of it but like what the right beers were for me taste-wise I would typically go for um like half of the

Premium stuff like Stella or Corona and then half of uh the cheap stuff like pass Blue Ribbon PBR uh and and I did experiment a little bit with harp for a while uh I quickly grew out of the likening the liking for this beer but bringing it back today for in St

Patty’s Day because it’s got the harp on it and it’s brw and Island so we still got some Irish beer cooking for this one let’s get this poured up decided to use the Chalice glass as well to keep with uh the festivities here I do not have green food coloring although that would

Double whammy that it was uh my my my roommate and housemates birthday uh on the exact same day so double the festivities typically transpire for that and a lot of fun planed for tomorrow for me um hanging out with friends at noon going to a bar at 3 and then going to an

Escape room at 6: and eating fried chicken at 7 it’s all mapped out it’s going to be a great day but how did everybody’s week go and what what do you got planned for the weekend my week this was one of those weeks man where Monday

Afternoon middle of the work day I was like man it’s Monday like my job is is pretty enjoyable um you know I if you guys don’t know my day job is pretty much doing stuff like this I do NBA content on YouTube for work as well as

You know personal stuff along uh uh outside of that whether it be from you know from 5: to 9:00 or like 7 5: to 9:00 p.m. or 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. when I get uh working for YouTube and then I have my normal 9 to5 as as many

People do but I work in sports for that which is great but yeah it was just one of those weeks where I’m like man I I don’t know it was just a realization you do this every you do this five times a week every single week uh thoughts of

Vacation are starting to pop into my head not going to take one until the end of the NBA season which is three months away but thoughts of vacation have started creeping into my head so I’m expecting to have plan something out very shortly after the NBA season concludes

Um may not oh when is the NBA final schedule we have to so I have to find a pocket where it’s not too close to draft day but I need to be able to I want to be here for game seven so game seven is

Sunday June 23rd this year if it goes to game seven of the NBA finals the draft is probably like less than a week after so NBA draft 2024 is I’m gonna guess it’s like the 26th uh NBA draft 244 date June 27th okay so that’s not going

To happen uh so four days in between that’s not going to happen free agency starts July 1st so not going to happen then I guess vacation is probably in August but I am going to Chicago I guess is a vacation I meant with like uh my girlfriend but I’m going to be in

Chicago I think it’s going to be in August I’m in Chicago yeah August I am in Chicago so maybe early early early August something I don’t know just something anyways this is just me rambling about personal stuff but something to you know reset recharge a little bit that’s what I’m thinking of

Uh environmental canadi I quit drinking during the pandemic uh but I am a medical CID patient so probably vaping some flower during the game all right enjoy environmental Canadian um yeah I think um I I know I have a I have a friend who who’s quit drinking not like completely

But doesn’t drink anymore and uh yeah there’s can be some positive effects for it um Everybody kind of handles it differently maybe you just don’t like it maybe you just think it’s an unnecessary thing to to cut out whatever it is uh enjoy it enjoy enjoy the enjoy the uh

My eye and what caught my eye when I went there thinking about what I was going to eat after stream was a nice new cheddar jalapeno perogi Frozen parois I’ve never had cheddar jalapeno parois before but I got tell you I got really excited when I saw those on the

Shelves so I had dinner and everything um and I knew I knew when I was buying dinner to buy myself my after stream snack that I’m going to want and uh we I did settle on cheddar jalapeno parois I’m wondering if uh I know you’re supposed to like boil perogies I’m

Wondering if the move might be to air fry him uh we’ll see what I’m feeling when I’m cooking up later why not Crush some beers EAS into the [ __ ] of tomorrow yeah you know I’m going to I’ll crush a few beers I’ll sweat it out at the gym I’m going to be

Anything I’m not trying to be like oh I’m so cool I don’t get hung over I I I very rarely feel the effects of hangovers um usually when I say that to start T night I have a really bad hang next day which is rarely as I said I

Don’t usually feel the effects of hangovers but I’m hearing all these horror stories about um about you know turning 25 and I’m almost at that point yeah so once I get to 25 years old will it start to creep up on me uh and the fact that you

Know I know where Doug be has been before I know uh the type of crowd he hung around in some capacity when he was in school if anybody doesn’t know fun little random fact me and Doug B attended the same University at the same time unknowingly

Um if you are starting to feel hangovers then um yeah it might be bit curtain for me uh your hangs are always bad they just got worse okay well mine don’t really happen unless it’s I don’t know it it’s weird when it happens ver when it doesn’t happen because there’s some days

It’s just like I wake up like how am I just fine here and then there’s some like rare days I remember there was one day I was in England with uh my two of the moderators in this channel Roman and Adam and uh we

Just had a night out in London and uh I had mentioned early in the night that I I never feel hung over and I I don’t know why I’m telling you guys all this but uh just I don’t know the night got away

From us we met up with one of some uh I guess a some a mutual friend and their friends at the bar in London um we’re out pretty late and woke up and we were in an Airbnb in London and I’m not I’m not even joking breakfast was like free

It was it was free like prepaid so you got breakfast at the Airbnb it was like um I guess it was kind of like a hotel uh and then our we were on the first floor so the breakfast room was literally like 10 steps away from our front door I almost

Couldn’t even make it to the breakfast room uh neither could Roman or Adam got there for my full English breakfast only had half of it could not from the life of me eat the beans or the tomatoes which come with it Roman ordered a full English and did didn’t eat a single bite

Of it and we went back to the room after and crashed for like 3 hours it was just that’s one of the worst of all time but usually I’m okay that’s uh like I I I could honestly there’s some days I’ll go out like with my friends into downtown Toronto King Street West

Wherever we want to hang out and then the next morning I can go to the gym at 9:30 no problem just just conditioned I mean when I was in school and University I played soccer uh in the offseason our practices I told you guys this story a couple weeks ago our practices were

Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday and there was one planet aligning Sunday which we’re almost at the anniversary of where the Saturday was St Patty’s Day same Patty’s day as I mentioned earlier it’s also the birthday of one of my best

Friends Adam who’s the moderator on this channel and the editor on the clips channel so it’s the double whammy day and if that wasn’t enough we had the full Trifecta that that was also the spring forward day for clocks the clocks went forward an hour so Not only was it

Just an absolutely ridiculous Day from the the the birthday St Patty’s Day we lose an hour of sleep and I had to go to soccer at 10:00 a.m. the next morning needless to say it was a bad practice but everybody on the team also

Was in the same sort of vein as me so it it every everybody was just a tick down from their normal normal status except for the people who uh who who don’t drink who were were absolutely flying at that practice Whiskey and Water hangovers are negligible I guess it’s just like when

You’re mixing too much is where it gets bad um of course but um I I’ve always been okay anyways uh what’s up the old Channel used to have is no more I stopped making Raptor content videos but kept the account now I’m just posting mobile games different types of games

All right that’s cool man so what I did instead of deleting videos I did with me doing post reaction other Raptors Rel content I kep on discount because I have so many subscribers well there you go keep it going no problem just uh good to

Know it’s the same person with just a a different account now completely completely understand that on that front keep grinding in the content space I encourage you to not go back to the oldest videos on this channel because it’s going to be podcast there about like 220 podcast episodes no video

Just straight audio of uh you know the classic the absolute classic University kid who thinks he can do a podcast like yeah me and my Bros just hanging out talking sports that’s what people want to hear the classic you know yeah 20 years ago let let’s do this like 20 20 years

Ago it was we should start a band bro 10 years ago it was we should buy a bar bro and um now 2024 it’s we should start a podcast bro it it that was us it was a sweet start it was I I I I want to start

A podcast got my friends to help me out along the way and um you know just honestly it wasn’t it it wasn’t making the podcast to you know be famous or anything it was have some fun learn how to create I always wanted to be involved in sports media it’s like almost

Impossible to get entry-level Sports media experience so I thought hey let’s just let me just take it upon myself to get that experience learn how to make good audio which took me a very long time um learn how to do video eventually just practice speaking in front of a microphone

And uh I guess it worked the whole goal was to gain experience to help get me a job in sports media and and um check I did it and the fact that this channel has become as popular as it is is just uh just absolute bonus and it’s amazing

I’m saying so uh be yourself um just be be organic be different um and success is um possible to follow there’s no guarantees in this space but you know if you work hard and post four like 300 videos that nobody watches but your mom eventually other

People might start to watch too and uh that’s what happened to me honestly I made like at least 250 videos for like nobody nobody like maybe one or two here or there got like you know broke a 100 I’d be like wow and then you know one would break

400 that’ be the most Feud then one broke a thousand oh my goodness and then it just became a habit this was great uh what I actually just realized in messing with my coasters here my coasters are are actually Guinness themed so that’s that’s Irish that’s you know they got

Point blown lead to Denver stings but hey you had a 22-point lead against the defending champs one of the best teams in the NBA that’s impressive considering the guys that are out for this team the Pistons won you know you kept it competitive kind of sour to lose like

That to the Pistons but you at the very least even despite the loss you know they were competitive they they played pretty decently we understand the guys that are out here but as it was you know you lose by six to the Nuggets you lose

By nine to the Pistons you L by 10 over here for this one um I don’t know not much more to say um it’s tough the Raptors are are keeping competitive and that’s great and that’s all we can hope for at this point competitive losses helping with the tank

Help help with the draft pick if you guys are unaware the Raptors have about a 31% chance of keeping their pick as the seventh worst team in the NBA as the six worst team in the NBA they they jump to 45% and honestly it’s not out of the

Equation for them to drop enough to catch the Portland Trailblazers in this tank race but uh regardless losses are are are good overall for this team but being competitive in the process is good as well many people have argued against the rapage tanking as you want to build

Good habits you want to work on development you can’t really do that when you’re losing games but hey the Raptors have been losing games and I feel like there’s value still coming out of it for a lot of players today maybe not quite as much on the offensive end

Because Orlando are such a good defensive team the Orlando Magic are fourth in the NBA in defensive rating they’ve been just pesky All Season defensively they are first in the NBA in allowing the least amount of shots to their opponents they play with a limited amount of P pace and they play stingy

Defense and the Raptors were treated to that like it was a two-point game at Halftime but the Raptors only had 48 points it was kind of a question of whether or not they would actually reach a 100 today now they did but when Orlando turned it on they

Pulled away the Raptors were down by I think it was close to double digits one on a big run went up 6967 and then Orlando went on a 20 to4 run and that’s where the game completely went away from us but as to be expected the Rapids were eight eight and 1 Half

Point underdogs here and kept relatively competitive largely down to the very impressive display overall from Gary Trent Jr but they just got outclassed in the end and and eventually the cracks in the foundation revealed themselves so let’s take a look at the box scor here

See how it all went down the Raptors go the rap well team stats here I want to start with the the shooting percentages Orlando gradually increased at a more exponential rate than the Raptors did over all the offense in the first half like it was 50 to 48 it wasn’t great

Both teams kicked on but it was Orlando who hit that higher gear finishing with a 50% field goal percentage shooting 45% from three they end the game with 52 points in the paint as well Raptors go 47% from the field that really climbed cuz the Raptors was like 39% from the

Field to start the game they climb up to 47% from the field they stayed mostly around 40 from three all game end at 41% but yeah Orlando kick on and win this game Orlando don’t outrebound us they don’t force more turnovers but you know it’s a maker Miss League here and it

Seems as though Orlando just in the ascendency a little bit getting a little bit more out of their offense overall than the Raptors did and that was enough to get this team to win Orlando are going to be that stingy defensive team and they showcased that and if it wasn’t

For the performances of Gary Tren Jr perhaps this one goes away quicker Gary Trent really has improved as the season has gone on 31 points 10 of 17 from the field seven of 11 from three great stuff from Gary Trent here four rebounds zero assists which is kind of funny absolute

Bucket getter tonight but uh elsewhere it wasn’t the most impressive play from the starters Orlando have a good starting five good defensively as I said the cracks are more revealed From the Bench units but also from the Stars Raptors you know Kelly goes 10 points n rebounds three

Assists not horrible quickly 10 points on three of n shooting not great but 10 assists his playmaking getting better aaji is not hitting threes but getting maybe some improvements from cutting like he’s really got to start hitting his threes here he’s 03 from three in this one but maybe some improvements on

The way Grady dick this is one of his worst performances in a while eight points three of nine shooting 03 from three minus minus 32 man that is brutal for Gary for for Grady dick in just 23 minutes on the benchin though we had some positivity like Bruce Brown at 12

Points five assists four rebounds and steel one of his better nights as a raptor Jordan noara had that electric spell in the third quarter ands plus plus 11 for the Raptors with 14 points three of five from three Porter I I actually thought even despite the 04

Showing no points I I actually thought he looked pretty good defensively he had three steals two blocks had some nice passing and setup plays for Four assists was nice Jas Ramsey a decent recovery after not playing so well against the Pistons 10 points for him five rebounds

Good energy coming off the bench um and the bench got us a good run in the second quarter got us a good run in the third quarter and overall it it kept the team mostly competitive and at this point in the season that’s all we can really hope for

Hope for so once again you know we talk with the tank you look at the playoff picture like the Raptors are far out of it at this point it’s very clear that it’s more likely the Raptors make up or the Raptors fall far enough and have a

Chance of getting their pick like even as a bottom seven team 31% chance of keeping their pick it it’s it’s clear that 31% chance of using their pick that’s greater than their percentage chance of making the play in tournament so the right decision has been made and

For the people suggesting that you know you still want to get stuff out of this games you want to try and win games you know I’m watching the games here and I think there’s still value that that’s coming out of it you know it’s tough it must suck to keep losing games here

Absolutely you know I can’t really imagine what it’s like in those locker rooms but it’s six games in a row they’ve lost eight of the last 10 and they’re right there in the mix three and a half games up in Portland tied with the Memphis Grizzlies now reflected here

On tangon and you know as the season wears on here well you know the remaining strength of schedule will provide a little bit of insight here the Raptors they played the Pistons now they have the 11th most difficult remaining schedule in the NBA not a lot of wins

Going to come Memphis 16th now so there’s going to be some difficult games in the way from the Raptors it’s going to be a grind for the rest of the season but hopefully it’s all worth it for that pick at the end of the season if not hey

Development still came out of it and they gave themselves an opportunity to use that pick it is what it is but I’m not going to walk away from a game like this overall super disappointed I know who’s out I know the Situation’s going on with team I just wanted them to stay

Competitive and make the games somewhat watchable as watchable as possible and I feel like they were able to do that today so that’ll do it for today’s postgame show you know kind of repeating stuff from previous streams but that’s just the case with the Raptors as it is
