A team that once teased the 1st seed a couple months ago in the Western Conference, is now on the brink of falling out of the top four.
This team has been playing like it wants to be in the play-in. No hustle, no consistency, no passion since the ASB.
I’m not trying to be pessimistic but this team has shown little since the ASB that’s worth getting excited for.
Getting bounced like that in your own court against a team below .500 that is missing its best player as well as many others.
Call it an “off-night” all you want. With the way this team has been playing lately, including all the 20 point leads we’ve blown, and the struggles against better teams, we look like a team that’s getting bounced in the play-in
I think it’s so strange how the team just throws away multiple quarters where basically everyone is playing like some form of garbage.
Basically after the first quarter where Kawhi specifically was awesome (he fell off a cliff after), the entire team played like total garbage up until like the 8 minute mark in the 4th quarter where PG + Harden started hitting a couple shots.
We have no sense of urgency. If we did, we’d have locked in our defense when our shots weren’t falling. Our rhythm on both sides of the ball isn’t good right now.
Very disappointed in the entire team effort, especially during 2nd and 3rd. Missing shots one thing but no movement, execution or simple basketball fundamentals like boxing out. Unacceptable performance, especially at this time of the season.
