Draymond Green says Anthony Edwards ‘BELIEVES he’s the NEXT FACE OF THE NBA’ 👏 | NBA on ESPN

The warriors with a 137 116 win over the Grizzlies Draymond Green joining us now on Sports Center Draymond everybody had it going in this game seven players in double figures how do you guys get into a flow where where everybody contributes uh well we know when we play

This team they severely overreact to Stephen Clay they try to top lock everything and send those guys down the floor and not to let them get the ball so guys were just aggressive in those spots where when they were top locking you’re you’re putting two guys on on one

Man without the ball that lead some openings and you I was able to get some easy ones off cp’s dimes and JK and wigs was flying to the rim and wigs shot the lights out the ball 10 points 12 rebounds seven assists for you the first

Two stats I look at whenever I’m doing a highlight of you guys is assists and turnovers 43 assists in this game to just six turnovers what went into that and you know that goes back to the defense that they were playing you know there’s easy passes open and you know

Driving and looking for the next play I think that’s been a big part of this team’s growth is you know uh getting the ball in Jonathan kinga’s hands and getting the ball in Andrew wiggin’s hands but when they drive and they and they get to the paint if the whole

Defense is collapsing make the next play and they did that over and over again we got out in transition our defense led to run outs and we got some easy buckets all right you got 14 games left you’re in the 10 spot right now in the play and

If you’re going to get into that top six you’re going to need some wins five home games nine Road games left including a five-game trip beginning Sunday in Minnesota that could go a long way toward determining where you guys followed the playoffs what’s the approach to winning on the road this time of

Year uh well I think having nine Row games Su Us best if we’ve been a lot better on the road than we have at home so um you got to just take care of win the games that you’re supposed to win and try to pull a couple wins out that

You’re not supposed to win uh we got you know starting here on Friday uh we got a Pacers hungry Pacers team that play super fast coming in here so we got to be ready for that we call it the getaway game when we’re going on a road trip so

Try to take care of business there and then we know Minnesota’s tough opponent uh Anthony Edwards is playing as good as anybody in the league uh as I’ve always said he believes he’s great you know everybody keeps talking about the next face in the NBA and all these things and

He believes that you know and and the rest of that team follows his confidence so uh we’ll we’ll have to go there and play tough but first it starts here on Friday and taking care of home court before we get away you guys took care of home court tonight 1376 over the

Grizzlies Draymond congrats on the win and thanks for taking the time thanks for having me appreciate [Applause] it

Draymond Green joins postgame to react to the Golden State Warriors’ 137-116 win over the Memphis Grizzlies, where he dropped 10 PTS, 12 REB and 7 AST. He then looks ahead to their upcoming road trip where they will face Tyrese Halliburton and the Indiana Pacers and Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

  1. Golden State is the most dirtiest team since the Bad Boy Pistons. They've taken out AD early in the game the other night. Tonight Draymond tried to take out the coach of the Grizzlies.

  2. I wish the NBA would go back to praising teams. Not ‘a face’. Wasn’t the Pistons the last time teams were praised as a whole instead of ‘a face’. 🤔🤔🤔

Yes, Drexler did win a ring in 1995 and Payton did win a ring in 2006 but I’m talking about when they faced Jordan.

How many of those greats did Kobe deny rings?

    Allen Iverson

How many of those greats did LeBron deny rings?

LeBron’s competition were a bunch of rats. Worse than plumbers. And he helped those rats win rings. LeBron’s teams have defeated the least amount of 50 to 60-win teams among the three. He did beat a 70-win team that MJ and Kobe didn’t.

Plumbers are superior to the social media losers and lame podcasters that LeBron has beaten in his entire career. Can’t wait when the LeSteroid scandal finally breaks the news after he retires. It will happen….

  4. “Michael Jordan played against plumbers. He’s not even top 10.” 🤣

LeRoid Dames only defeated TikTokers, DoorDashers, YouTubers, podcasters, and YMCA players playing in Venice Beach jacking deep 3s. He’s not a top 1000. He needed to form a superteam in Miami to beat an old af Celtics team. 😂 And steroids to defeat all these 2010s/2020s losers looking at their phones and scrolling through their social media feeds all day.

TikTokers and DoorDashers are worse than plumbers. Plumbing is a real job and actually pays much better.

MJ also schooled OJ Mayo at the age of 43 who can dribble with either hand as well as Kobe and Kyrie. As an old man, he dropped Vince from a crossover. It’s on YouTube. He went H2H against Kobe, T-Mac, and Pierce in some of those games. He dropped 40 with Kenyon Martin and Richard Jefferson guarding him. I guess all the NBA players from 1980s-2000s (THREE DECADES) were all plumbers then.

The Dream Teamers who MJ destroyed in that Monte Carlo scrimmage were all a bunch of plumbers. While that overrated 2008 Redeem Team which nobody watched that Netflix doc could barely handle Spain because they were too little. By the 00s, elite bigs went extinct.

Dwight Howard would not be a top 10 center in the 90s. Olajuwon, Shaq, Robinson, Ewing, Mourning, Mutombo, Daugherty, Parish, Sabonis, and Smits were all better. Then the 2006 FIBA team with LeBron, DWade, and Melo went lebronze like LeBron did in the Olympics in 2004. Team USA needed Kobe to redeem themselves.

Anthony Edwards will go down as the 2nd greatest player of all-time. He’s actually playing in a similar era as Jordan when bigs rule the league. He’s going to fly over Jokic, Giannis, Embiid, and AD like Jordan did to Shaq, Olajuwon, Ewing, Robinson, Mourning, and Mutombo.

Plumbers? That’s funny. Every star before 2000 were plumbers then. Those 00s stars like Duncan and Kobe couldn’t beat those Utah plumbers in 1998. Jazz went 4-1 against the Spurs and 4-0 against the Lakers. Kobe shot four airballs in 1997 while Jordan was winning a title for UNC at the same age while Kobe didn’t hit a game winner until Year 4 in the NBA.

From 1992-1998 which includes playoff games, Jordan defeated Shaq 13-6. What did that Shaq Plumber do after MJ retired a second time in January 1999? Once Lakers got Phil, he went on a threepeat. Just like it wasn’t time for the 90s stars to win rings in the 80s, the 00s stars didn’t win in the 90s yet until the Bulls broke up.

I like how Jordan played against plumbers while an unathletic white boy named Austin Reaves gives problems to this new generation of mentally weak players. Giannis can’t even shoot as well as Olajuwon, Robinson, and Ewing, and he’s considered a top 2 player.

Jordan is responsible for Kobe, Kawhi, KD, DWade, and Ant’s careers. But I guess he has no influence. Keep calling them plumbers. Your favorite player in your life will still never measure up to Jordan. They will always be looking up to him in stature. Crying memes and dumb Reddit posts will never negate his stature as the G.O.A.T.

  5. Anthony Edwards is the next Chosen One. I saw his potential the moment he baptized Watanabe during his rookie season. The kid has crazy springs in him. The only thing I didn’t like what he did was when he texted that IG model, Paige Jordae, to get an abortion. I guess you can say he just committed abortion on John Collins’ career! 😂

Kobe Bryant and Kawhi Leonard play more like late 90s Michael Jordan while a young Dwyane Wade and Anthony Edwards play like 80s Michael Jordan. I was watching a video where Ewing blocks MJ’s shot. Next play, MJ cleanly blocks Ewing. MJ was VENGEANCE. Only Larry Jordan was better than him he said since Mike copied of all his older brother’s moves.

Anthony Edwards at the age of only 22 needs to be the face of this league. He came in 2 years after Luka and Shai and may get further than them in the playoffs by Year 4. You can say I’m an Ant fan to the Ant-Man! He’s the ONE, folks. The young Simba. The young GOAT. The long lost son of Michael Jeffrey Jordan.

When it’s all said and done…

    Best of all-time (B.O.A.T.)
    1. Michael Jordan 🚤
    2. Anthony Edwards
    3. Kobe Bryant

    Greatest of all-time (G.O.A.T.)
    1. Michael Jordan 🐐
    2. Anthony Edwards
    3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

People will forget about LeBron very quickly and realize they were duped all those years because he was doping.

Who needs Bronny and Bryce when MJ already has two sons in Kobe and Ant making the top 10 all-time? And Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler are pretty great too. Michael Jordan is the Jesus Christ/Anakin Skywalker/Superman/Batman of NBA history. He’s the King of all kings. The Icon of all icons. The God among gods.

  6. He’s also got a good roster around him. That helps. Not sure if he was on say the trailblazers he would be in talks as much as he is.

  7. on the other hand, draymond green is a subpar basketball player, a worse podcaster, and an absolutely horrible person, so who cares? at this point I'm betting / rooting against anything he says or pretends he stands for.

  8. Anyone but a European! Especially if they have a white face!!

    Ever heard of Luka Doncic?
    Victor Wembamyama

And get used to it, the joker is gonna reign supreme for the next 4-5 years
