Rockets I want to say they were around five games out of that 10 seed behind the Golden State Warriors and we all know the temp seed is the final spot for the playing tournament now when a player like Alin andon goes down and who at the time was literally playing the best

Basketball of his young NBA career over his last four appearances for the Houston Rockets he was averaging 27 points per game 13 rebounds to go along with six assists so that is a lot of production that you’re missing and at the time for the Houston Rockets Jaylen

Green was still finding his way so with all of these factors going in um Alber and goon likely to miss the remainder of the season um and Jaylen green still kind of struggling a little bit on the year a lot of people came to the conclusion that um any chances of the

Houston Rockets going to the playing tournament had went out of the window and now here we are today is March 24th and the complete opposite has happened for the Houston Rockets as of late or I should say in the month of March they’ve been the hottest team in all of the NBA

They’re 10 in one in the month of March and they are currently on an eight game winning streak the highest in the NBA and also before we move forward another important piece of information the Houston Rockets with their great play as of late they are now just one and a half

Games behind the Golden State Warriors for that final spot in the playing tournament and the Golden State Warriors have been a little shaky as of late they’ve dropped five out of their last eight ball games but getting back to the Houston Rockets and how they revitalized this team and how they’ve been playing

At such an high level I think the answer to that has been very very simple and that’s Jaylen green now before we get into to Jaylen green I just want to talk about um the lineup that they’ve been running since Al and goon has went down

They decided to go with the small ball lineup putting Jabari Smith Jr at the five it’s really positionist basketball when you think about it and they’ve asserted am men Thompson into the starting lineup so this lineup has been great for the Houston Rockets it’s been great for Jaylen green because it’s

Allowed the Houston Rockets a little bit um a little bit more spacing with these five smaller guys out there and then also they’re playing at a much faster rate getting a lot of great point I mean a lot of easy looks in transition and that’s great for a player like Jaylen

Green but now to more so focus on Jaylen green to see the way that he’s been playing he’s been exceptional for the Houston Rockets in the month of March now we talked about the Houston Rockets being 10 and one over their last 11 games which is best in the NBA um for

The month of March and Jaylen green during that stretch he is averag 27 points per game over his last five games Jaylen green has averaged 34 points per game seven rebounds and the efficiency has been crazy during that five game span of averaging 34 points he’s

Shooting 56% from the field in 50% from the three-point line and the threes that he’s taken they’re not just wide open Catch and shoot looks they’re they’re three-pointers that he’s taking off the dribbles where he’s doing a bunch of different moves beforehand and he’s just looked exceptional on the court for the

Houston Rockets and we talked about this so so many times um before the season started during the season how important Jaylen green was going to be to the Houston Rockets this season it’s as talented as Jaylen green is um me personally I thought he was going to be

The X Factor for this team for the Houston Rockets and what they were trying to accomplish this season and for me personally seeing the moves that they made getting coach Ean udoka paying Fred Van Fleet um and Dylan Brooks Two high level um two high Lev veteran players in

The NBA it looks like the the Houston Rockets had goals of getting to the postseason and right now those goals are still alive but I said Jaylen green was going to be the X Factor because um if he has a really good season a breakout season where he can be the scorer that

We can that we all know that he could be averaging 25 plus points per game I thought the Houston Rockets were going to easily get into the playoffs and we saw all the piece is working correctly for the Houston Rockets we saw coach e udoka coaching at an extremely high

Level turning the Houston Rockets into one of the best defensive teams in all of the NBA and also Fred Van Fleet and Dylan Brooks they catered to that as well so it seems like everything was working but Jaylen green just still couldn not find his footing up until now

Where he’s just been outstanding and we all know Jaylen green has the talent there um he has the talent he he passes the the test with flying colors um he’s a a a three-level scorer can knock down the three-point shot off the catch off the dribble his handle since coming into

The NBA has gotten a lot more better um he can create shots for himself out in isolation in the pick and role um and then also the best part of his game is probably the athlete that he is getting downhill being able to finish with both

Hands getting that hang time in the air acrobatic layups posterizers he can do it all on the offensive side out of the ball and somewhere that he’s matured this season is just making the right reads now he’s not a high assist guy but he’s just making smarter plays and

Smarter passes and it’s really been benefiting him and his teammates so Jaylen green the way that he’s been playing over these last 11 games over these last five games he’s been getting the props from his teammates from coach Ean udoka it seems like everyone a part of the Houston Rockets organization is

Really proud of Jaylen green right now and they should be and whatever whatever Dre and Michelle is is cooking for Jaylen and green at home she needs to she needs to cook it up I mean she needs to keep it up because he’s been insane lately and the only question right now

A bunch of Talent with these two guys not the only thing that they have to figure out is how to um produce it when both of these guys are on the court and if the Houston Rockets could figure out how to do that it will become one of the

Best teams in the Western Conference so yes a lot of the credit goes to Jaylen green because he’s been playing at an extremely high level but I think the Houston Rockets as a collective has been outstanding as well and we’ve seen some other guys step up and play good for a

Stretch of games like um amen Thompson he had a a stretch where he averaged like 21 points um it was a three- game stretch where he averaged 21 points and I believe like eight games um Jabari Smith Jr had four straight games of scoring 15 or more points um just in

Their most recent victory over the Utah Jazz Jabar Smith Jr he gets ejected earlier so Jeff Green plays some extended minutes and he has a big night for the Houston Rockets So everyone has been pitching in for this team they’ve been playing that small ball lineup and switching everything being nuisances on

The defensive side of the ball and then whenever they do get a um a stop they’re getting out and they’re scoring the ball extremely fast at a very high rate so the Houston Rockets they have been very fun to watch this entire season and then over the month of March changing up

Their playing style a little bit um we have to give Coach to em Oka as well we talked about it losing a player that was giving the type of production that alpr and goon was giving that’s not easy for him to make an adjustment on the fly

Like that and keep the Houston Rockets season alive and potentially get into the playing tournament and then potentially get into the playoffs I think this could all be so big time for the Houston Rockets and even if it and even if they don’t get into the playoffs

I still think this season is a win for Houston just given how they’ve looked over the last couple of years literally at the bottom of the NBA at the bottom of the Western Conference now every game that they played this season it has had meaning to it and they’ve been

Competitive in almost all of their games and now they have a chance to get into the playoffs so um I think that’s a great thing to look at and then also the young Talent on this team man has it has young Talent has young Talent on the

Team ever looked this evident um we look at all the Houston Rockets um their picks over the last three years I believe it’s six of these guys from 2021 Jaylen green Alin and goon has looked really well for the Houston Rockets 2022 Jabari Smith um Jabari Smith Jr and tyi

Een who I am the biggest fan of man I really want T een to get out on the court and stay healthy for the Houston Rockets but these two guys have looked good whenever they out they are out on the court and then we look at the two

Guys from this year the 2023 NBA draft amen Thompson and cam Whitmore have also showed um flashes of playing at a high level this year so um the Houston Rockets um this season right now they’re sitting at 35 and 35 they’re sitting at 500 have a chance to finish the season

Over 500 that would be so big time for these guys but um I think this was a great um I think this was a great step in the right direction for the Houston Rockets I feel like and the season is not over I don’t know why I’m talking

Like the year is over but um I feel like they they’ve learned a lot this year about them um about themselves and they figure out an identity on the defensive side of the ball and now they’re just waiting to to to to figure out these little Kings offensively to allow

Everyone to mesh together and allow everything to flow freely and I’m telling you once the Houston Rockets figure this out they’re going to be one of the best teams in all of the NBA because the talent is definitely there like we said in the last video the only
