The Sacramento Kings have a huge problem so far this season the Sacramento Kings have been one of the better teams in the Western Conference and really in the entire NBA but although the Kings have definitely shown to be one of the better teams when they’re playing at their best

At the same time we’ve definitely seen a ton of inconsistency from this roster which could be tracked down to a couple different factors and at this point a lot of fans including myself are starting to become increasingly worried about how the Kings would perform in the playoffs but quickly before we get the

Now but also had the potential to be even more successful in the long-term future and when you look at how the kings were able to perform over the past couple Seasons it’s pretty clear that not only were they really good during the regular season but of course they

Had the potential to have success in the playoffs as well and when you look at the Kings team this season I think the same expectations should hold true of course the Kings aren’t playing nearly as well this year as they were playing in some other Seasons but regardless of

That fact the core is still relatively the same the goal is still the same and of course the expectations are still pretty high and the expectations for the Kings at least in my opinion is to win an NBA championship or get as close as you possibly could to it now obviously

Some people including myself don’t necessarily think the expectations of winning a championship are all that realistic but at the end of the day I do think based upon the roster that they have at this point there should be some higher expectations than just making into the playoffs but obviously as we

All know at this point although the Kings have certainly performed extremely well in certain games for some of the NBA’s top teams at the end of the day the Kings have definitely also had an equal amount of games where they just didn’t show up whatsoever against good teams and probably even more concerning

Against some bad teams as well and due to that a lot of fans started to become worried about the poti potential success or lack thereof of this king’s roster in the playoffs so a question that some of you may be wondering at this point is do

I think it’s time to panic with the Sacramento Kings or do I think it’s blown out of proportions well in my opinion I definitely think there is some Credence to it obviously when you watch the Kings play out there it’s pretty clear that in certain games they look

Like World beaters but in other games they don’t look good whatsoever and I do think there are a couple of factors to determine why that is but the biggest Factor has to be their defense when you watch the Kings play out there it’s pretty clear that they have the

Capability of putting up 140 plus points on any given night but at the same time they have the capability to give up 140 plus points on any given night as well so obviously there are going to be certain games where the Kings look like World beaters where they’re playing

Extremely well offensively but in those certain games where maybe some of their star guys aren’t playing well whatsoever like dearin Fox like Damon sabonis Malik monk even some other guys on the roster are just not playing well whatsoever it then becomes virtually impossible to win games and that includes when they go up

Against Bad teams and I do think that’s a huge reason for why we’ve seen certain games where the Kings have gone up against teams that were definitely not on their level and the Kings just completely get blown out by those teams it all comes down to their defense and I

Do think once it comes down to playoff time defense is a real anger for any team in the NBA if your team’s able to play great defense regardless of how good or how bad your offense is you’re always going to be in games and I do think that’s a huge factor and an

Extremely important factor when determining playoff success and looking at teams that were able to win championships or even go on deep playoff runs in the past so I definitely do think there is real concern about the king’s defense and I do think that the Kings need to make some significant

Changes in order to fix some of their defensive Wows now obviously as the season has progressed there has been some improvement on their defense but regardless of that fact I think they’re starting at such a low point that the Kings need to make significant improvements if they want to become one

Of the better teams in the league and if they want to have real playoff success the season and also in the long-term future as well but another question that some of you may be wondering at this point is do I think the Kings can solve

These issues and do I think they can be successful this year well in my opinion I think the answer is definitely yes obviously the Kings have been extremely successful in the past obviously still at this point they do have a lot of Talent on the roster and I just think at

The end of the day these guys are going to be able to figure things out because obviously when you talk about teams in the past that maybe struggled defensively or struggled in a certain area of their game of course A lot of times teams would have the trade

Deadline or maybe even free agency to bring in a player to help alleviate that issue but obviously when you look at the Kings currently at this point they don’t have the luxury of having free agency and they don’t have the luxury of having the trade deadline in order to trade for

A player that would help them out defensively so at this point I think it’s pretty clear that they’re just going to need to make improvements from within a lot of the guys that maybe are struggling defensively just need to step up and I think defensive improvements

Come up all the way from the top from the coaching staff all the way down to the individual players but if everybody buys in and everybody plays a little bit harder defensively I do think the kings are going to be able to turn things around a little bit and I do think they

Are going to be able to have more playoff success than they otherwise would have if they didn’t make some defensive improvements now some of you watching this video at this point may be thinking why am I talking as if the Sacramento Kings are a bad team or why

Am I talking as if the Kings aren’t even a playoff team well in my opinion I think it’s pretty clear that the Kings actually are a really talented team when you look at the Rost on paper it’s pretty clear they have talent everywhere you look but besides even on paper when

You watch these guys play out there they definitely have moments of Brilliance and they’ve definitely beaten some of the NBA’s top teams proving to me and proving to NBA fans around the league that they are definitely capable of having some playoff success but in my personal opinion if they’re not willing

To buy in defensively and they’re not willing to make significant improvements defensively I don’t think they’re going to be able to get anywhere near a championship and they might not even get past the first round so although we have definitely seen some successful games for the Kings some phenomenal games in

The past of the season and I do expect them to have some phenomenal games against some great teams going forward throughout the rest of this regular season I think we’re going to continue to see a lot of the inconsistencies that we’ve seen earlier on from the Kings throughout the rest of this regular

Season and even in the playoffs if the Kings don’t make some more improvements defensively now another question that some of you may be wondering at this point is do I think the Kings will make the necessary adjustments well in my opinion I definitely do think they will

I think as we get closer and closer to the playoffs the kings are only going to make improvements not only offensively but more importantly also defensively and I do think once the playoffs come around the kings are going to be playing some of their better basketball that they’ve been playing really throughout

The entire season this year and regardless of what seed the Kings end up being in the Western Conference I think they’re going to be dangerous if they’re the sixth seed they’re going to be dangerous 7th eighth fifth fourth whatever it is they’re going to be a

Tough team to beat and I really do think they have the capability to beat a lot of different teams in the Western Conference and I do think they can surprise a lot of teams in the west as well now at the end of the day do I

Think the kings are going to win a championship this season I do not think so I do think they can have success I do think they can make it past the first round and maybe past the second round but I don’t necessarily see all that much upside for the Kings past the

Second round but regardless of how well the Kings do in the playoffs this season they are still a relatively young team and of course they are probably going to make improvements as the seasons do progress so I will say I am extremely excited to see what the Kings end up
