Wtf how stupid do you have to be ? After all those injurys and beeing out of the league multiple times you would think he would be gratefull for the situation he found himself in now.
Money could hardly be the reason …but it was only a matter of time untill players started doing this .
Sports has moved into the background, gambling has become more important than the sport. No matter where you look everything is infested by betting advertisment, broadcasts are opened with odds before they even say welcome .
Between this and his other brother – yikes.

It seems pretty obvious that big money going on under prop bets for Jontay Porter suggests insider betting.
I wouldn’t be too quick to presume that he’s directly in on it. He could be. Or he could just have someone he talks to about how he’s feeling, who got inside info of like “I feel like crap today, I’ll try to play but might call it after the first shift” and then they put in a set of under parlays without him knowing.
If these allegations are true, it’s a wildly stupid thing for him to have done. Even an unexceptional basketball player can expect to make *millions* of dollars during their career. Blowing that on a few tens of thousands of dollars is idiotic.
Jontay would not be so rich as to never be tempted to do this sort of thing, but theres so many other things this could be.
