Down on Twitter at madman leaks here to talk about the Rockets 110 92 Victory against the Blazers the team that started Ed this now nine game winning streak they got another win against the Blazers in this same stretch of time and Madison eerily enough this game felt

Very similar to that game that they won way back win at the start of this win streak against the Blazers in Portland because in that game the Rockets really struggled in the first half of that game as well right it took kind of that that that dunk in the third quarter from

Jaylen green to really wake them up right the Anthony Simons poster uh no Anthony Simons in this game I know that was a war of ours on our last episode thinking that the Blazers might have a bit of a chip on their shoulder coming into this game and yet it was kind of

The same because the Blazers were just flat out out playing the rockets for the first 24 minutes of this one yeah uh the Rockets came out kind of confused on their switches defensively was kind of frustrating and kind of taking these just happy go-lucky threes they weren’t

Really getting into the offense and they soon realized that the Portland Trailblazers came to play they were not going to lay down and they had a real game plan on how they wanted to address this team and I thought it was really effective and they threw out a really

Good switchable defensive lineup that gave the Rockets trouble that I thought they paid that they paid attention to the game plan they were really tough and they almost kind of felt like the rockets in the way they got after us defensively it was uh actually really

Impressive to see and it seemed like the setup for like one of those sleeper games where underdog I’ll get you like Phoenix just got got tonight but yeah so so it was really good to see the Rockets uh get by these guys with their defensive effort and with honestly

Jaylen Green’s Brilliance Jaylen green was a two-way star tonight he really was and instead of uh just the ridiculous dunk that we got last game we got two-way Jaylen green where honestly I think him and Aman Thompson was the two best defenders on on the court tonight

And his defense along with his offense ignited this rockets in the third quarter which allowed us to uh get get our bearings and get the lead and win this game yeah after after the Rockets hung 47 on the Jazz in the first quarter they only put up 47 in a half against a

Very bad Blazers team this was not a pretty game for the first 24 minutes unless your name was Jock landale Jac landale had an incredible first quarter uh he had 15 points he was perfect from the floor uh he finished the game with 17.6 of6 shooting from the floor nailed

Two three-pointers back to- back in the same spot on the court in that first quarter it was incredible to see Jac landale was on one and the rockets needed all 15 of those points to even just be like you know on the same level as the Blazers in that first quarter but

Then yeah it was a disappointing second quarter only 19 points scored really rough all around right Fred Van v struggled uh with foul trouble all evening it was a really kind of disappointing game from him he he he had a really frustrating disappointing game only five of 18 shooting struggle with

The fouls a really rough game from Dylan Brooks in this one as well uh only two of 13 shooting uh he had some foul trouble as well this was not the greatest game from the Rockets veterans but I fully agree Madison this game was won in that third quarter when the

Rockets responded in such a big way on both ends of the floor and it really felt like Jaylen green and am Min Thompson kind of carried the Rockets there in that third quarter I love the way that they came out and opened with you know it was I think it was three

Straight B by am Min Thompson to start the third quarter just kind of opening up his offense a little bit getting him into some spots where he could be effective on the floor you know out of the pick and roll that kind of thing and

Then Jaylen the way that he the way that he responded in this game right he was three of 12 shooting in the first half it was not looking like a pretty game um again I think everybody on this team was guilty and again unless your name was Jo

Landale uh was guilty of settling for some easy looks um you know not really not really adhering to kind of their offensive philosophy right of trying to get paintt touches and kicking it out to open Shooters and you know C you know catching shooting catching and driving

Attacking off the catch all those things that this team wants to do they didn’t really do much I if any of that in the first half and then it it changed in that third quarter where Jaylen after you know a really rough first half stuck with it and had a phenomenal third

Quarter kind of igniting the rockets and turning this thing around to where they took I believe it was a nine-point lead into the the fourth and final quarter of this one and I mean from there they never really looked back at that point even even then right Fred Van Jaylen

Plays the entire third quarter gets AR rest at the top of the fourth quarter Fred is running the ship and then Fred picks up his fifth foul at the top of the fourth quarter and E’s like all right Jaylen get your butt back in there I can’t rely on Fred tonight yeah he’s

Young and he’s a star and that’s what we got a star performance from Jaylen tonight really felt like so for me A lot has been made about what if this jayen stretch is real and I wanted to see how jayen would respond when his shot wasn’t

On when he wasn’t going nuclear from the field um so it was really good for me to see jayen put this team on his back even though he had a really really tough tough first half and the way he responded is the way Stars respond he responded by putting the team on his

Back at when Fred went out we jayen become became our primary initiator and he did an excellent job not only did he find his shot he continued to get downhill with with ferocity forcing uh fils to be C because he was he was getting hacked the entire game but of

Course with this new physicality he has to understand to adjust his game but that did not deter him and his confidence to get downhill was key because it he got us easy buckets when we needed them and he also hit some some timely threes but most importantly Jaylen sparked this team energetically

With his defense he got us out running with his stops and steals I believe he had four stocks on the night and he even in the fourth quarter I I want to say the fourth quarter yeah uh had a offensive foul uh Drew off he drew the

Offensive foul on on scoot Henderson he he deed up he he moved his body he was right there in front of scoot and and Scoot is an explosive like tier one athlete he can get by guys he’s big he’s physical he’s fast and Jaylen was right there in his path legal guarding

Position all that to where when scoot like he couldn’t get past him so he stuck that arm out there right kind of stiff armed Jaylen a little bit and it was an easy call for the official to make uh Natalie SEO right there on the Baseline and that that kind of Defense

Right that kind of like stick tutiven right getting into it making it tough on on scoot on the opposing you know star player I guess for the Blazers scoot’s not really a star yet but right he’s their he’s their number one guy at least with yeah at least with that current

Lineup right the all rookie lineup that they’re rolling out so he is their go-to guy so to be able to D him up like that you know in the closing stretch of a game where you haven’t really been leading by a lot right yeah at that point they were kind of comfortably

Ahead after that big third quarter and kind of turning things around and and getting back in control of this game but that those are exactly the moments that you’re talking about when you want to see a star lead by example even on a night where his offense wasn’t great he

Still finished with 27 it wasn’t a super efficient night but he did it right he ground out those points the way that he knew how to do it and then he showed up on the defensive end exactly he found other ways to be effective and and wield

This team to win in and another guy that was just uh had a ridiculous game as Delano Banton it seemed like the Rockets couldn’t understand if they were switching in the first half and he just got like six seven easy lay uh six seven points off just easy layups at The Rim I

Thought Fred Van vet really struggled defensively I thought our wings as a whole our our perimeter Defenders struggled to stay in front of their men all night except Jaylen green and I’m Thompson and so it was really good to see Jaylen lead the defensive lineup but

We still were even though we had some struggles on that end we still um I thought were very active with our hands defensively I think we we forced like 16 turnovers which is a huge amount and so I think the Rockets overall defensively was really good but a lot of that could

Be just attributed to that that’s a bad Portland team over there right and but I will say that Jaylen took the challenge say hey my shots not going but I’m gonna continue to be aggressive and not only am I going to continue to be aggressive I’m going to bring it on the defensive

End and show that I can bring it on both ends of the court and in a game where almost everybody every rocket was struggling offensively except Jac landelle um jayen brought it on both ends and the amount of energy it takes to do something like that for the amount

Of minutes that he played this night I just have to give him a round of applause and his flowers this is one of those games that you won’t see on the stat sheet how impactful jayen was tonight and he literally won us that game coming up we’re going to get into

Some of the other thoughts from this game some of the concerns with Dylan Brooks and how he’s fallen off defensively as of late for this team unfortunately as well as some of the bench contributions from guys like Aaron holiday Jan Tate couldn’t have gotten the win without those guys as well and

Hey Draymond Green apparently not worried about the Rockets maybe he should be and some uh fun little quotes from eme udoka about jabari’s suspension we’re going to get to all of that and so much more here in just one moment first today’s episode is brought to you by prize picks prize pick is

It’s that easy and continuing on here at locked on Rockets your daily podcast home for everything Houston Rockets basketball now really quickly before we continue on with some additional thoughts about this game things that stood out to us Madison uh I have to highlight here it’s an absolute travesty of the highest order

That Jaylen green did not win a back-to-back player of the week award uh the dude average what was I think 30 is it was either 33 or 36 a game it was like 36 a game right uh Anthony Davis wound up winning the player of the week

Award he averaged 26 a game he had like 16 rebounds they went 3 and0 I get it the stats are there but Jaylen was shooting like 50% on like 12 attempts a game from long distance he had a couple a couple 40 pieces in there right like

This was an insane little three game three- game stretch from Jaylen I don’t know if there’s like a rule where the NBA just doesn’t hand out player of the week Awards like back to back because obviously certain guys like you know Luca or joic or or Tatum whatever guys

That are like upper echelon Stars could probably win the award in their sleep like every single week you know especially if their teams are dominant they’ve got the record to reflect it um but it is really disappointing that he didn’t uh win a second player of the

Week award I thought he was very deserving of it uh however what it does mean is he’s at least got even more maybe of a narrative for why he should win player of the month if he keeps this play up now I will say he’s got his work

Cut out for him unfortunately because player of the month when it’s the final player of the month award is more like player of the month and a half award because they have to factor in those two weeks in April as well as the entire month of March so if Jaylen can keep his

Play up through the final regular season game and keep playing at this level then I don’t think there’s any reason why he shouldn’t be like the player of the month to end the NBA season because of he’s playing right now he’s been arguably one of the best players in the

Entire NBA during the stretch that he’s on right now yeah I thought it was actually it was actually really really sad and it had to be some type of conspiracy theory like I I guess guys can’t win it to twice in a row because with like not only has Jaylen been

Absolutely incredible the Rockets have like slowly turned into the story of The League creeping up on the darling Warriors and it’s all been on the back of jaylen’s play and so it was It was kind of confusing that he didn’t get it I I was we were all shocked we were

Expecting that to just happen especially because he had got it the week before and his numbers were like i’ say like twice as good you know this this week but it’s all good man Jaylen is going to continue his his great play as he did

Tonight um so we just you know we just hope he gets the player of the month we hope we we can lead us uh lead us into the uh playoffs as well all right so I know that we discussed this in our last episode before coming into this game

Whether the Rockets would go with Jack landale or Jeff Green in the starting lineup ultimately they went with Jack landale but we also saw stretches of the game where e may opted to have Jeff Green out there on the wing in place of a Min Thompson and I have to think that

That has something to do with with kind of some of the spacing issues that we saw from from this team throughout this game how did you overall feel about how the Rockets operated when they did have jock and a Min out there because it it did feel kind of clunky at times right

Yeah I thought it really messed up the space and I thought the I thought it was a a it helped um um Portland’s game plan you you could tell Portland was really sinking and they wer to pack that paint they were going to switch everything they weren’t going to allow and they

Were going to give Rockets mid contested mid-range shots the Rockets opted to not take those including Jaylen green those were the shots that were available for them and they tried to finish through three and four players which did not end well for us and we also had some reads

That I I thought were if not missed also were late we saw him late and tried to get him there and it was too late the the defense had responded or recuperated or it turned into a turnover so it’s just overall sloppy play but I do think

It is a bit clunky when you have Jack lelle and so which which gets us to our Point Jabari you can’t be throwing them chicken wings we need you out there dog we need you out there and and speaking of look if Jabari is going to throw

Those chicken wings uh Oka had some advice for him I guess you could call it advice because before the game against the Blazers Oka had what has got to be like one of the quotes of the year like it’s so funny this dude is like lowkey hilarious when he even when he’s not

Trying to be um but he was talking about Jabari suspension and he said if a guy grabs you you’re going to react but the throwing punches is the thing so he’ll learn from that if you’re not going to land the punch you might as well not

Throw it eay really went out there and said if you go to throw hands you bet and get suspended you better at least land a punch make them count that’s why we saying come on with that soft stuff man like you trying to act hard out there y’all like just ma said it

Perfectly dog like you know what I mean get your money’s worth if you gonna get it but instead be more smart Javari we need you on the court dog we really need you and I thought I thought his lack of shooting really hurt us tonight it’s the

Same thing as like fouling in a game right like if you’re gonna foul somebody I hate like Ticky Tac fouls like if you’re if you’re you got six good fouls if you’re going to foul somebody foul the crap out of somebody right make them know that you foul them knock the knock

Their ass to the floor like let them know to think twice about the next time they drive to the rim or do whatever because they players will think about that right if you go the basket and you wind up on your ass after a drive you’re

Going to think twice about the next time before you go to the hoop against a certain team if a certain guy is down there and if he drops like a shoulder into you or something or puts you in a little bear hug before you try to go up

To the rim something like that so I love that message from emok I thought it was I I like you said I thought he said it absolutely perfectly but uh I want to give some credit to Jan Tate in this game as well because I really thought

That his presence first off you know conate professional right this is a guy that dropped out of the rotation completely was racking up dnps left and right uh as EA kind of settled into his new rotation there really leaning on a Min Thompson and uh and cam Whitmore

Before Cam went down due to injury and obviously before the Rockets lost Alper and shingun he basically settled in on a rotation that did not feature J shant Tate anymore and a lot of players you know might hang their heads start sulking be upset whatever not J shant

Tate and as soon as his number was called as soon as he needed to be a part of the rotation again he was there and ready to answer and he a guy that very much can turn the tide of a game in your favor right I know that there’s you know

Some issues with maybe like the spacing when he’s out there and it’s not and he’s his his role is a bit duplicative when you’ve got a guy like a Min Thompson who’s a also they’re both kind of Swiss army knife kind of guys out there that can do a little bit of

Everything but a Min Thompson does a little bit of everything way better than Jon date does at this point he’s he’s bigger taller more athletic so just a more souped up a supercharged version of Jan Tate if you will but Tate in this game right he checked in he had uh what

Was it a couple like a couple quick rebounds he had some assists uh he had a blocked shot and like just a few like a series of possessions that were all directly impacted on both sides of the Court by J Shante and that’s just the

Kind of guy he is when he checks into a game he can win you some possessions on both sides of the ball very easily yeah I just feel like he’s a offensive threat as well with the with the team and the bench especially with four guys down

It’s going to be some lineups where we’re really going to struggle to score and it’s good to have a guy like Tate at the end of the bench that can do a little a bit of ball handling that could do a bit of shot Creations Creation in

The right context there was a play where uh he was just bringing the ball up the court and the Portland Trailblazers was too worried about the other guys on the floor and they left a wide open Lane for him and he immediately attacked and got a free open dunk and those were points

That we needed to keep ourselves in the game and keep the rhythm of this offense going and it’s really just good to have a real NBA player at the end of your bench who can come in and be a productive player that is the the literally the intens or the uh the

Essentialness of having depth on your team and so it’s good to see J Shante coming in ready to go ready to uh ready to contribute on his team and he definitely deserves flowers I thought he’s I think he’s been good uh this entire stretch since shingon is shingon

Has been out and a big part of that right is because previously right there was the the clunkiness of having him and am Min Thompson out there for certain stretches with the bench unit now you’re seeing a bench unit that is largely right Aaron holiday Tate Reggie Bullock

Jeff Green you’re seeing kind of that five out spacing bench unit and often times there’s one of Fred vanit or Jaylen green mixed in with that four that group of four guys so Jan Tate’s effectively your only kind of non shooter now with the bench unit often

Times uh or if you know it maybe they they do line things up sometimes with Jack landale out there although landale knocking down these threes man I don’t know maybe maybe he’s been putting in some work with uh Ben Sullivan but uh you know it’s one of those things where

You know unfortunately he was like kind of a an unfortunate what am I trying to think uh casual casualty of of just you know the the spacing issues that this team is faced and you know again there’s another guy that’s a little bit better at all

The same things that he’s good at so obviously that guy’s going to get the minutes over him but it’s important to remember that he is a quality NBA player that he can help you win some games and seeing his minutes in this game along with the other like bench pieces right

Jeff Green not the monster game that he had the other night but you know productive minutes for Jeff Green important minutes that he was out there being able to kind of fill that void and despite losing Jabari Smith Jr this Rockets team was able to get it done

Right it wasn’t a pretty win and the box score would not tell you the whole story because this was an ugly first half for the Rockets but this is what good NBA teams do right guess what you had a bird you had a bad first half went back at

Halftime responded looked at the tape figured out what adjustments you had to make came back out responded in a big way in the third quarter and that’s exactly what you what you want to see from this team yeah good grind out win from the from the Rockets um I thought

Our guys of course all kind of pick tried to pick each other up and it was really tough with the performance from Fred Van vet and Dylan Brooks tonight I thought uh you know Fred Bly dealt with dealt with fouls but even when he was in the game I thought he really struggled

With turnovers I think he had four assists and five turnovers which is completely uncharacteristic of uh Fred Van vet and it we needed the efforts of of Tate londelle and Jaylen really to overcome this team because although you know we kind of played the Third stram Portland Trailblazers we were also

Missing four of our key guys and uh our two best vets were having a real tough go of it so that really just made it a struggle for us tonight but it was good that our other guys have improved in the ways that they can pick those guys up

They can now pick our vets up when they’re having a tough night and win that game speaking of the Vets having a tough go of it we have to still talk about Dylan Brooks and some of the defensive concerns with him it really feels like the clock has struck midnight

And Dylan Brooks might have turned back into a pump finally um we’re going to talk about that as well as whether or not the Warriors should be worried about the Houston Rockets cuz Draymond Green isn’t and that seems like a mistake we’re going to get there in just one

Moment first today’s episode is brought to you by better help sometimes we all need the opportunity to get something off our chest big or small certain things can really start to get to you it’s important to let that stuff out especially to someone who’s unbiased when it comes to your life right maybe

You had a you know a problem at work or a disagreement or you got in trouble something like that or maybe there’s something in your personal life right with a close friend or a loved one and you just need to be able to walk through that with somebody who is unbiased and

Who can give you kind of an impartial third-party view on what’s going on and kind of walk you through some of those things that are going on in your life I’ve done therapy in the past and found it to be a really cathartic experience

To just kind of take a step back take a 10,000 foot View at things that were happening in my own life so if you’re thinking about trying therapy give better help a chance therapy can be different for everyone and honestly most of us have bigger problems than our

Favorite sports teams and it’s important to get those things off your chest every once in a while if you’re thinking of starting therapy try better help it’s entirely online designed to be flexible and suited to your schedule visit betterhelp.com lockon MBA to get 10% off of your first month that’s betterhelp.com lockon

MBA and final segment here at lockon Rockets your daily podcast home for everything Houston Rockets basketball now Madison we had talked about this briefly earlier on right but this was a game that felt like the rockets and their kind of defensive identity was a little all over the place in this game

Right they were getting beat on some easy back Cuts there were some a lot of miscommunication on some of the switches I think a large part of that had something to do with right the new starting lineup right you throw Jack landale out there he’s a guy that hasn’t

Been out there with some of the starters and the over the course of this winning streak ever since Alper and shingon went down they had a different defensive identity right where they were switching everything one through five suddenly you throw Jack landel out there it’s back to the scheme where you’re not switching

One through five and you’re switching one through four so it becomes a little bit weirder of like are we switching are we not switching guys aren’t weren’t as you know quite automatic about their switches and and understanding you know okay I’m playing with jock right now and

Maybe normally it wouldn’t be a time where they’d be playing with jock on the floor so they’re not used to some of the defensive coverages that they were running uh and then credit to the Blazers right they were just out hustling the Rockets they were getting

After it better than than the then the Rockets were in that first half um finished with I think like 52 paint points in this game like they were scoring really really easily at the rim and then they just couldn’t hit anything from Beyond The Arc 7 to 33 um from

Downtown but Dylan Brooks overall man like it first of not a great offensive night for Dylan Brooks uh 11 points two of 13 shooting 0 of eight from downtown uh it’s felt like we’ve gotten the bad shooting version of Dylan Brooks more often as of late than the good ver

Shooting version of Dylan Brooks which is a concerning Trend it’s not something that I like talking about but it’s something that we have to talk about uh it kind of feels like he’s coming back down a little bit from where he was for about two-thirds of the Season there

Almost like it was too good to be true because now we’re getting back to the reality of Dylan Brooks and he’s kind of coming back down to his usual averages uh but even more so concerning than the offensive stuff the defense man like he’s a guy that you know he’s supposed

To be the Rockets defensive Ace he’s supposed to be their all NBA caliber Defender the guy that you throw on the toughest defensive assignment and and the rockets are supposed to be able to rely on him for for that defense right they’re supposed to be able to rely on

His physicality they’re be able to rely on it not not that you know any defensive Ace in the NBA is a guy that you could say all right go shut down this guy and it’s going to be an automatic guaranteed shutdown every single night but you want to make life

Difficult for the opposing team and I feel like there have been a lot of games recently where whoever what just watching Dylan Brooks on his assignments and I’m not really feeling like Dylan Brooks is is being that like swing Factor defensively yeah he’s definitely

Not been as impactful I I even go as far as to say is that he’s just a barely above average Defender for a while now we don’t see the aggressiveness that of Dylan Brooks without getting a foul an unnecessary foul the Ticky Tac foul he sometimes he he gambles in the wrong

Possessions there were a POS there was a possession today where uh Walker was uh was getting deed up by Aaron holiday did not need any help it was at the end of the shot clock he had to force up a contested shot and Dylan just late goes

For a double and he shoots it over Aaron holiday he didn’t get there in time and then the the the shot was so bad Dylan’s man who was in the paint and he came out the paint just got an easy put back it’s just like the that type of headiness I

Don’t know it’s it’s been missing lately for Dylan but I need him to pick that back up the shooting’s going to come up and ground up and down long as you taking good shots I’m fine with that but your defensive intensity you were supposed to be the defensive leader of

This team and it’s to me it’s felt like Fred Van vet and and Aman Thompson has clearly surpassed you as a defender on this team like I’m more comfortable with him guarding the the team’s best player than Dylan Brooks because he makes I feel like mental lapses with his

Physicality not understanding when and when not to foul and what what type of possessions and a lot of times it can zap our momentum and zap our energy and so I just need him to pick it up because we know what he’s capable of especially with this stretch coming we’re going to

Be playing some good teams with some good Superstars this is where he needs to shine best in this switching defense and really get after it and become just a bit just as big of a clog as he used to be and just as big of a clog as Amor

They’re not getting after it like they’re supposed to we can’t say the words getting after it and then not have me play that clip off the soundboard but you know I and I do wonder if part of it for Dylan sometimes is maybe mental right like you look at this Blazers team

There’s not a tier one star on this team right there’s not a guy that you’re going to throw Dylan on and be like all right that’s that’s your guy that’s the guy you stop when we’ve seen Dylan in some of those matchups right where he

Does have to guard you know a Luca a whatever I think he kind of Rises and Falls sometimes with those matchups right Dylan’s a very like he’s a guy all about the mental right he likes getting in getting in the opponent’s head he likes playing those mental Mind Games he

Likes getting under the skin of the opponent and maybe that’s an element of Dylan’s game where he doesn’t have that same defensive Edge when he doesn’t draw like the opposing Superstar to guard so you know as the Rockets do enter this next stretch they’ve got what one more

Easy game uh who’s it against they go up to Utah right I think on the first leg of this road trip on a double check oh no OKC first so it’s OKC yeah so so hard team hard team right so hey there you go you’re going to have SGA have fun right

Um but you know they they and they they’ve got Utah and then things start to really pick up because then they’ll have Dallas Minnesota then the Golden State game uh for what’ll likely be all the marbles for that final play in spot uh in the Western Conference later on on

April 4th more on that in just a second and our uh our good friend Draymond Green but um I do Wonder right is is you know maybe it’s a mental thing with Dylan where when when you’re you’re up against a bad Blazers team we already

Saw we saw the entire team as a whole right struggle to come out of the gate with the right energy because they kind of this team still has a tendency sometimes to play Down to the level of its opponent and so maybe that’s a little bit of the factor where he wasn’t

As locked in as he normally is right the you know the whole pregame Dylan Brooks stare off mental you know routine whatever so maybe that has a little bit of something to do with it the Rockets have had a little bit more so of like a cakewalk schedule over these last you

Know two and a half weeks or so um so maybe as the as the uh the opponents as the the competition uh starts to ratchet up a little bit we see Dylan Brooks hopefully get back to the defensive version of himself that we know that he

Can be and the version of himself that he needs to be for this team to have the postseason success that they want well first off to get to the postseason and then to hopefully have some postseason success after they make it to the play in tournament and eventually the first

Round because again we’re manifesting good things here at lock on Rockets um mentioned Draymond Green a couple times more so than we would ever like to in a Rockets podcast but he had some thoughts the other day uh after the Warriors I think it was after the Warriors loss

Where uh they their first loss to I think it was the uh the Pacers and no these comment oh the comments that just made I thought was just made last night oh was it last okay my bad then it was then it was after the uh what the Wolves

Lost then right so so some so a Bay Area reporter don’t have the name unfortunately but a Bay Area reporter asked Draymond Green his thoughts about the race for that final spot in the Western Conference this is what Dray green had to say how much are you now

Kind of tracking the Rockets I don’t give a damn about the Rockets excuse me Draymond I mean maybe you should give a damn about the Rockets sings how the Rockets are now a half game back of the Warriors riding a nine game winning streak and are about to

Push you guys out of the playoff picture completely you see draym green that’s psychology right there because you could have just said hey you could have said hey I’m not worried about the Rockets what’s going on with this team is about this team and we need to focus on

Ourselves and we take every game serious that would have been a better response the fact that you had to cuss when you heard our names you you know what I mean the fact that it it it vexed your soul that that it it it invoked C curse words

Me we on your mind boy you you know about mind R free rent free in the back of your head you don’t like it you don’t like it and we all know now bro we look we all from the school of Trash Talk dog

We in your head and we know we in your head and you let us all know by acting lame about it bro so just just get it together Jeremiah because here we come April 4th April 4th we gonna see you I’m surprised we didn’t get like an hourong

Special on the Dr the Draymond Green podcast about his his his uh how how how unbothered he is by the Houston Rockets and how not worried he is about about the Houston Rockets and the playing race side note about that that April 4th game uh we were talking about this before we

Fired up the show it is ridiculous that they flexed that National TV game who did they Flex it to it was it was it it was uh the Sacramento and the Knicks oh my God I think that’s the fle the flex I’m like man y’all are tripping right

Now y’all got a buil-in playoff game a regular season built-in playoff game that a lot of people are interested in seeing y’all have the biggest storyline developing as a as a a a a good Houston Rocket team has come on hot you got the emergence of a new star and they’re

About to go head tohe plus all the history with the Warriors right these two organizations have history and yet they there are so there’s a mountain of built-in narratives ESPN and TNT could get like a week of content on this one game alone in the buildup and leadup to

It and they Flex the Ron game to National TV this is like whoever’s in charge of that scheduling process whoever’s in charge of that completely dropped the ball the only the only good news is now when they Flex games I don’t think it actually takes away from uh the Space City home network

Broadcast which is a good thing because I I hate the national exclusives where we can’t listen to the Rockets broadcast because I you know shout out to the Rockets broadcasters love Craig love Ryan love Vanessa they do a great job with the program um so not being able to

To listen to them does suck sometimes uh but yeah so I just got to highlight that one there cuz that game is going to be so intense playoff atmosphere and uh we got to come out for that game we got to come out for that game y’all

We I mean it’s going to be the closest thing to a playoff game but if we don’t make it so we got to come out and support those guys and give them energy so they can continue to play with this this uh energy they’ve been playing with

Absolutely and man look I I I know they got it done without Jabari Smith Jr uh in in this game it was an ugly win they got it done uh looking forward to him coming back because he always plays with a massive chip on his shoulder against

The OKC Thunder so and you know that after being out a game being suspended you know he’s going to want to come back with a little something to prove so the Rockets going on the road for their next game against OKC Wednesday night that’s going to be a good one of course we’re

How Jalen Green Sparked Houston Rockets Third Quarter Comeback With Offense AND Defense Vs Blazers

Host Jackson Gatlin (@JTGatlin) is joined by weekly cohost and NBA Draft enthusiast Madison Moore (@MadManLeaks) to discuss how the Houston Rockets came back after a rough start to beat the Portland Trailblazers 110-92 after being sparked by Jalen Green’s offense AND defense in the third quarter. Why the Rockets got off to a slow start with only Jock Landale showing up in the first quarter, Jalen taking over in the third, rough nights for the vets with Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks, Jae’Sean Tate’s bench impact, Draymond Green “not worried” about the Rockets and more.

  1. Blazers shot 0-9 from deep in 4th quarter. Fans in Portland were delighted to see their young guys choke. Usually it's Portland's high salary starters that play like poodoo.

  2. Jalen Green is finally becoming the player he was projected to be. He’s an Elite scorer and is becoming a good defender . Hopefully he can gain some more muscle this off season. Rockets are young and have great athletes. Hopefully they continue to play fast when Şengün returns

  3. Next year:

Play primarily through Jalen during regular season.

Play primarily through Alpi during post season.

Might not be that simple but what y'all thinkin'?

  4. We play better without Sengun that's just the truth. The stats, record and numbers all prove that. We play better on offense and defense WITHOUT Sengun.

  5. Come on guys.. start loosing… i am so tired of waking up at 4 am to watch you winning…

  6. First team should be:

    • Dillon Brooks
    • Amen Thompson
    • Alperen Sengun
    • Jalen Green
    • Fred VanVleet

    Second Team should be:

    • Jabari Smith
    • Cam Whitmore
    • Jock Landale
    • Tari Eason
    • Aaron Holiday

  7. Sengun is a very willing and flamboyant passer. How people say he needs to be traded is beyond me and just proves to me that a lot of the people who called for Jalen to be traded are the same ones who say Sengun was holding the offense back.

Jalen green Sengun connection is here if Jalen stays this way because of the double teams.

This injury has actually been a blessing in disguise because Landale has now gotten a decent healthy amount of reps to where he now is officially on the scouting report.

Rockets are blasting off in every way right now, it seems.

Told everyone Tillman Fertitta was serious about his money, lol😅.

  8. They looked like hot doo doo in the first half and still should have gone into halftime with the lead. I’m just glad we were playing Portland or the streak may have ended.

  9. Why is every comment section filled with trade sengun or trade green. WE CAN KEEP BOTH. they are better together. SIMPLE

  10. What i like about Jalen is that hes a humble kid. I know the goofy things hes said but thats just it hes a goofy kid with sky high expectations.
