Three of those guys at the trade deadline in 2021 and ever since then uh with the draft picks they have gotten they capitalized big time by getting young uh great franchise players such as uh Paulo banero and France Vagner and even added some young productive guards and that

Being Cole Anthony Jaylen Suggs and even Anthony black from last year’s draft class but they’ve just been making a ton of great moves and in 2022 they got very lucky with getting the first overall pick in the draft lottery which they ended up ultimately choosing Paulo which

Was a really great pick and just a really solid draft class because they could have chose you know guys like Chad honger or even Jabari Smith even some guys like Keegan Murray Jaylen Williams but he was definitely the best option because he won Rookie of the Year in his

First season and was NBA ready in my opinion because he looked like a veteran out there in just his first year but going into the season I honestly thought that they may reach a top 10 seed at best because of what they’ve done you know the past few years and last season

And I definitely thought they would improve since last year though finishing all the way as a 13 seed in the East with a record of 34 and 48 they’ve definitely proved me wrong this season currently being fifth in the East behind the New York Knicks and only having one

More lost than them which is honestly crazy as a magic fan this team has been so fun and exciting to watch this season especially with the return of Jonathan Isaac this year he’s been so impactful for us just like the other night versus the Sacramento Kings he had probably his

Best offensive game of the season dropping 25 points seven rebounds and he shot 10 for 13 that game and hit uh three three balls and on the defensive side he had two blocks as well and a steel and was pretty much everywhere on the court whether that was him rejecting

Sabonis at The Rim or hitting a nice Corner shot to contribute he’s definitely a first team all defensive type of player and when the man is healthy he’s an absolute problem because he can guard all five positions with ease he just brings this team to another level and I hope he can

Stay healthy for the full season especially in the playoffs because he’s definitely a player you need to win a championship because of how dominant his defense is but more on to the defensive side of this team that they’re displaying at such a high Elite level being a top three defense in the league

Right now with so many great Defenders such as Jonathan Isaac that I kind of already went over and Jaylen Suggs who has reached a different level this season with the defense that he’s been playing because he’s one of the best defensive guards in the entire league

With his ability to get in those passing Lanes just steal the ball away he can create many problems for any offense by disrupting shots at a high level this season he’s just been so impactful for for them and has solidified himself as one of the top pieces for this entire

Team and even on the offensive side of the ball he’s been shooting the ball at a 40% clip from three which has just been very impressive and that just makes him such a great two-way player for this team and many people didn’t think that he would pan out because of all those

Injuries he was having and they just thought that he would be a bust because in his first season he shot horribly from three only shooting 21% and last year almost shot 33% so his Improvement has been great for this team getting it all the way up to about

40% and his field goal percentage has improved as well but he’s definitely established his role is the guard for this team being the elite perimeter Defender that he’s been but on the offensive side of the ball the magic have not been as impressive and are in the bottom 10

Teams for offensive rating but even though their offense hasn’t been the best it’s just enough to help them get wins because their defense is just so Elite but the main player producing on their offense is obviously Paulo who has had a great season so far and has made

Some improvements from his rookie season where he’s already improved in pretty much every single stat category that he can really improve in like his shoot or like his scoring and his field goal percentage has went up as well going all the way up about 4% from last year in

His field goal percentage and his three-point percentage has went up about 7% this season he’s been a better play playmaker going up about two assist which he has just been so impressive this season he even made the allstar game but his game has flat out been

Great to watch with his ability to get to the basket he can just absorb contact and he has a decent outside shot and is able to knock down a lot of mid-ranges for them but his skill set for this team is just great to see from your young

Number one option who is only in a sophomore season but he’s just a special type of player and the evolution of his game has been amazing now the next best player that I want to talk about is the second option from this team and that being France Vagner who has had who’s

Been off to a great season as well putting up almost 20 points a game 5.4 rebounds and almost four assists right at 3.9 while shooting 48 .1% from the field and kind of low on the 3point percentage side of things sitting at 29% he’s had a really good year besides

That because he has the ability to get to the basket and just be able to score down low and he’s been great on the ball also off the ball as well his game has been nothing short of spectacular to watch this season and I definitely think he is a future Allstar

Within the next next few upcoming Seasons he’s easily been their second best scorer on the court between him and Paulo they’ve kind of been on a different level from scoring compared to the other guys on the court because Suggs is averaging about 12 and a half a

Game and is is their third best score and it’s really just goes down from there because Co Anthony has been averaging almost 12 a game and also Mo Wagner he’s been great off of the bench for for them averaging 11 points a game and I just feel like

He’s really underrated in my eyes but this is more so a team effort from the role players whenever it comes down to the offensive side of the ball but this team has just been great this season and even though they may be struggling on the offensive side their defense has

Just been so impressive and I feel like that’s what uh we would you would rather have from your younger team team struggling on the offensive side rather than the defense because it’s way harder to get the defensive level that they have right now compared to just adding

Some offense to their team which I believe that’s what they should try to do is just add some more Shooters onto the roster to help fix their offensive role and just fix those struggles from that end but I still do think that it’s crazy that we’re going to be able to see

This team finish it out with probably being a top five or or top six seed in the playoffs this year but they’ve definitely proved me wrong because I didn’t think they would be nowhere near where they are going into right now into this season but I definitely did think they

Could sneak their way into like the playin maybe and this team this season has proved a lot of people wrong because they’ve been able to deal with a lot of injuries throughout the year such as beating uh the former Champs in the Nuggets where they only had eight

Players in that game and even almost beating the kings in a double overtime game with just seven players but this team has proved how tough and gritty they are and I think they could cause some definite problems in the playoffs especially with their defense being able to cause all those problems against any

Offense because we’ve seen them shut down some of the best offenses in the league but this team just has such a great future ahead of them because their court is just so young right now and they have so much time to fix any problems that they do have in the off
