Wemby is the second best player ever, right behind MJ. He can do everything, and do it awesome. Offense, defense, protect the rim, pass, shoot the three, and dribble. Plus, no one dares to try anything anywhere around the rim. And he's not lazy. At 7'4" he runs up and down court with lots of energy. His free throws are good enough, and will improve.
I noticed something real interesting today. Pop is running the same play again and again in every game, but the play is a different one between games. Which I think is a genius way to test which plays are working for a young team like the Spurs
unanimous ROY and a strong contender for DPOY this year.
Give this team 40ish wins and he‘ll be in the MVP discussion. Give this team 50ish wins and they‘re gonna have to rename the award into the Wemby of the Year.
