The lack of free agent signings this summer ruined the Detroit Pistons season before it even started

Yeah it’s it’s the lack of free agency um signings like nothing against Monte Morris I liked him but the the whole medical thing was just weird and then he’s balling out in Minnesota happy for him Joe Harris the Joe Harris like I I never understood signing a guy that

Was coming off a very serious calf injury and he was just a shell of himself I don’t get why you use 90% of your cap space to help the Brooklyn Nets because they had no money to sign cam Johnson that was a guy that they should have targeted in my opinion it would

Have been made kade’s life a hell of a lot easier to have a small forward that can shoot close to 40% from three and is a pretty good Defender yeah but I mean I think if you just look at free agency as a whole for this team in this

Front office it’s been a complete failure like they show up on draft night and then that’s it that’s that that’s it that’s all they do is they they draft a shiny new toy get fans excited and then you know free agency comes and it’s quiet it’s crickets around

Here yeah I’ve been a guy I’ve taken a lot of flack on my show for at times defending Troy I’ve kind of I’ve let that narrative go but mid-season and I don’t know you may have saw the tweet I put out there of like when they

Announced um Monte as a coach and they asked like hey is this mean you guys GNA make the playoffs and tro didn’t want to answer the question he like looked pissed off and tried to flecting that one to Tom Gores and Tom gor is like literally gave you a ball his life type

Hand so he just yeah a whole bunch of Mumble jumbo and yeah man it was it was pitiful they don’t nothing’s in sync over there no um you you could just give a yes or no answer uh Troy didn’t want to do that but I mean he also said he

Wanted to play 82 meaningful games go down to the wire uh these have not been meaningful games exactly and that’s when I like the deadline bro that’s when I lost all ability to defend him just because we essentially traded for Marvin baggley for literally nothing at the end of it

Nothing zil am I am I wrong in that didn’t we didn’t we release every other piece of that I think the baggley thing has more to do with James wisman than people talk about when you look at bagley’s Contract he only had a year left and it would

Have been more movable this summer versus just trading it in the middle of the season for danila galinari which I mean you you look at who the agent is again it’s Eric telum danila ginard is represented by Eric telum same with Mike muscala so they do both of these guys a

Favor they trade for him and they do contract files for him obviously G galinari signs with the buck so he’s playing for a playoff team that they’re gonna be a deep playoff team this year with Giannis and then you look up Mike muscala he goes back to OKC and he gets

A contract buy out because he was mad that he wasn’t getting playing time anymore I mean he was getting playing time you saw what a stretch big with Kate Cunningham what’s that he should he should have been getting playing time too if that’s did it happen because he

Was mad or did it happen because like he wanted to buy to begin with well he was getting playing time and then it stopped the the James wisman stuff happened again and I don’t have any like inside information or anything but I hope it wasn’t because he’s mad that pissed me

Off you you you can’t tell me that it wasn’t someone from the front office that traded for James wisman waned to get a better look at him because James wisman was buried on the bench and you know the the organization said we just want to get a better look at him

Obviously he’s been doing a hell of a lot better since uh the All-Star break but to your point there was really no point of trading Marvin baggley I mean he was still a productive player he was a productive backup big behind Duren and he actually got better defensively this year he was actually

Trying um I’m not saying like Bagley is going to win you NBA championship by any means but he was a serviceable at least NBA player and he’s done pretty damn well in Washington um so I’m happy for him but just that trade in particular didn’t really make a whole lot of sense

But um this organization is so in love with cap flexibility like they’ll have up to $61 million to spend on free agents or trades this summer but I I don’t I don’t trust them to not make a bad trade like and they don’t like you have

The money then you don’t spend it while also at the same time saying you want to compete which one is it like like I don’t even understand [Applause] [Applause] Man yeah

  1. Whenever I need to piss myself off I remember that Troy is still here for another off season

  2. I still think. We are building a team around injury prone players, and talking about a rebuild

    – Cade can barely play some game due to knee issues
    – Duren has had 9 ankle injuries and now is injured again
    – Asuar has a Blood clout that could stop him from playing Basketball if it not managed right
    – Stewart been in and out all season.

You can not build a team or a rebuild around injury prone players, you have to see who is healthy and start rebuilding around that/those guys, which i hate to say it is IVEY, at the moment. This is a issues because it no consistency with player playing together and building team chemistry. This issues has to be figured out this upcoming free agency or next year will be the same. No other team in NBA history started a rebuild around injury prone players.

  3. When let go of Dumars theypropably thought he was the problem.
and without him the rebuild would go faster.
In hindsight we know now that wasn,'t the case.
There are just a very few teams who realised
    a quick turnaround.
Just sitting and waiting for that turnaround to
    arrive in Detroit.meanwhile enjoying Celtics.
I'm a senior citicen so hurry up

  4. Wth yall expect name another team young as us minus any star power that is doing well in the NBA… I'll wait
This era of microwave development is for the birds… the team don't know how to win on this level as well also dealing w alot of potential minus the development… it takes time not jus a summer
    Save the bs

  5. I definitely see us overpaying for an inconsistent Tobias Harris that if Philly doesn’t want to pay him what he wants nobody but us will
