It was bad move on its own but was made 10x worse by the fact we immediately ended up with a logjam of guards and no backup big.
Im generally an L Frank defender especially this season but Wall over Hartenstein is his biggest error, even more than the bust lottery pick.

I don’t get how ppl don’t understand these situations. We needed a point guard. Kawhi and PG wanted a point. Wall is boys with them. So FO had to choose. A starting pg or a backup center. FO catered to its stars just like how 95% of the nba operates. Hindsight it looks real bad but most of the time it always does.

I love even he realizes how silly it is we gave Wall that $5M MLE (the only real avenue we had in improving the roster in free agency) while he was making $45m+ or whatever for Houston
