We technically only have [two players](https://www.spotrac.com/nba/philadelphia-76ers/cap/2024/) on contract for next year but we all know Maxey is getting the bag. Besides them, who do you HAVE to have back next year. For me, it’s Oubre, Melton, Batum, and Buddy.
Batum – Entry pass slinging, 3 point flinging glue guy
Melton – Mr. Do Something does stuff
Buddy –
Oubre – Grittier than the mascot
Who you got? Any of y’all want Tobias back?

Batum is retiring, Melton’s back is cooked.
Only giving Buddy and Oubre 13 million a pop.
I’d love to have all the guys you mentioned back on reasonable deals. Realistically, one or more of them is going to get paid more than the Sixers can afford. Batum is also liable to retire or sundown his career in France or something a la Marc Gasol. Although I think plenty of teams would though a mid-level at him.
RoCo having been injured so much of this season and on the older side, I’d like him in a minimum. He may not be what he once was, but he’s still got some life left in him I think.
People who say they wouldn’t take Tobias back on *any* deal are thinking a little spitefully in my opinion. There is some amount of money he’s worth, but the problem is he’ll get paid more than that. So I just don’t see him returning on an appropriate deal.
We could do worse than Cam Payne on a minimum, but the paradox with guys like that is that, if he plays to the level we definitely want him back, someone will throw a little more than that his way. And he has to maximize every bag at this point in his career, which I respect.
We’ll see how Lowry holds up through the end of the year, but we could do worse for an end-of-bench guy who continues to coach Maxey up.
And it’s kind of a meme, but Ricky Council is a good energy guy who’s still young and spry. Might as well give him an option-heavy deal and see what he can do.
I think you gotta bring back Oubre and Buddy.
And bring back Batum/Lowry if they want to continue playing and are cheap.
Melton maybe if he nobody wants him but he can’t be a starter for us anymore
Need to see Buddy with Joel, but I’d still try and hold onto him. He has actual shooting gravity and he’s willing.
Prioritize Oubre, if we can get Buddy get him too. Melton I hope for the best but if he can’t come back this season or comes back but his back has hurt him too much that he’s not playing the same then it’s best to let him go and he can prove us wrong elsewhere.
Batum, if he doesn’t retire, would be nice to keep but I suspect he’ll be done
If we sign PG we will have quite literally no money so it’s a different story entirely if he gets brought in
Oubre.
Buddy and Oubre have at the very least been entertaining and productive. No idea what they’re worth or how all that would go, but I’d like to see the two of em. Harris obviously can kick rocks and Melton might not be the same again. Unless he’s coming back for pennies I’d rather see someone else take a chance on him.
Oubre, hield, and even Payne. Emphasis on oubre
I think we should give Tobias Harris a double Max and see if it doubles his production.
Oubre and Buddy. Batum if the price is right but I wouldn’t overpay for him. Melton same; it sucks but I’d want a discount because of that back. Cam Payne would be fine as a 3rd point guard on a cheap contract.
I’d honestly be happy keeping our draft picks, unless we can get some insane trade using them, and Use the cap money on decent FA role players.. Hope a mid-high end player becomes available a nd Pray for a healthy season. I miss having draft picksÂ
Oubre and Buddy. Easy choice.
Buddy, Melton, Oubre.
I think Melton takes a prove-it deal elsewhere. Buddy’s coming back for sure unless he does terribly next to Joel. Oubre is hard to gauge. I could see a bad team overpaying him.
None of them maybe Batum on a cheap deal
Grittier than the mascot. Too true. Oubre forever.
I think BBall is guaranteed if we make the second round. I’d keep him regardless but him destroying Boston or Milwaukee to secure it would be hilarious.
