You know more hilarity will ensue in that segment but let’s start here Mike richond the Houston Rockets 10 wins in a row all of a sudden absolutely dominating their schedule in front of them right now they’re now above 500 they’re an above 500 team not

In the play in which is an insane thing to look at uh on the standings right now they get the win against the OKC Thunder shenon has obviously been out SGA was out in this game as well so that is notable these teams go into overtime uh

Chat fouled out with about 848 to go and in the fourth quarter and so they just went small the whole rest of the way and it was the clash of the all right we’re rebuilding we’ve got these young guys and let let them go at each other

Basically Jaylen green 37 points in this one had some really clutch tough buckets Jaylen Williams as well the battle of the jayen uh Josh giddy 31 points in this one I got a lot of surprise like oh I didn’t know he could play like that from the Rockets announcer several times

When he was hitting clutch buckets uh let’s just start with the the rocket side of this what did you see from the Rockets this incredible win they got I mean listen they Jay J green just Jaylen green has been as good as you can be over the last 15 games like he he’s

28s on basically 40 40 80 shooting and then he comes out tonight and has and then he has 37 um he’s he’s making plays off the bounds he’s hitting jump shots he’s um he’s drawing enough attention that his playmaking is Meaningful there the Rockets are have been a really good

Defensive team all year uh they have the the sort of freaky Wings to make it happen with with Brooks and am man Thompson is probably better on defense than I possibly could have imagined for someone who came from OT um jari Smith Jr back in the lineup after a game

Suspension and he’s you know he he really helps on that end with what they do defensively and clutch three yeah and he hit a Hu he hit a huge he had a huge bucket and and Jaylen green makes plays down the stretch and it’s just like you know they got they probably got

A break here playing against that this team in Oklahoma City without Shay but like don’t give it back back don’t give it back they’re they’re you know they’re chasing they’re chasing down um you know a team that’s been there before and might not get there this time

Um I don’t know what they’re gonna be like if they make the plan but I think this stretch is um when you sign vets in the off season to build around your core your young core this is exactly what you want you want to be playing meaningful

Games in March in April so uh the re the The Accelerated rebuild paying off in Houston uh we were talking about the announcers in this game and uh and Craig acrian was just going nuts the whole end of this game like screaming talking over his like like everybody else and he said

Something in the middle of it where it’s just kind of there was like a lull after like a big play just happen late in the fourth quarter it’s a tight game and he just goes man isn’t it nice to be playing in these games that matter again

You just you feel for them like you feel for the announcers and all these people like you’ve been around teams I’m around the Mavericks and like you talk to all these people that work for these teams or that work in conjunction with the teams and have to cover team you know

You’re in it right now with the Blazers and how terrible they’ve been but this Rockets team was the joke of the NBA for years like like all the GM surveys like where would you where would you not want to go as a free agent like the Houston

Rockets are what’s the worst coach team in the NBA the Houston Rockets were like the number one thing and now they’re playing in these type of games it’s such a turnaround I mean you got to give credit to eem odoko you’ve got to give credit to Fred Van vet for going there

And for you know just riding the ship and being like a very steady Force for them uh give credit to Dylan Brooks for taking all the money but then also still playing really good defense next to aan Thompson and uh you know and Javari Smith and all that uh man and Dylan

Brooks by the way two huge threes at the beginning of overtime and then hit a hit like a a weird floater that Josh giddy tapped back in for him in in overtime as well so eight points in overtime dyl Brooks was one of nine one of nine when

He took those threes it was one of nine from three and they kept they kept going to that over and over again that like the pick and roll with where at top of the key where Brooks would set it uh and and they would send two to the ball and

They kind of like because they’re not afraid of him getting not afraid of like doubling off him and he was like you know what if if I’m gonna be open I’m gonna shoot it it’s like dog you should not hey let’s go it went in it’s so uh

Then he’s like calling for it in the next play and he hits another ex exactly he’s like he’s like he’s like I’m hot baby it’s like yeah I’m you’re two of 10 now you’re two of 10 Josh giddy also did something in this game I’ve never seen and

Uh tough to say Josh giddy is something I’ve never seen in the same sentence but he hit a shot sitting down on the on the ground with 350 left to go in the fourth quarter he out of a timeout he ends up he falls down he has the ball and he

Just throws the ball up at The Rim I think for an alleyoop I don’t think he was attempting it was a pass it was I don’t think he but he passed it right into the basket and hit it there uh by the way Dylan Brooks airball to three

With 146 left in this game if we want to go back to D Brooks’s uh just insane confidence level that he has but you’re you’re all right about the Rockets like they they’ve got these athletes how many plays in the fourth quarter and in overtime did the Rockets get a layup or

A shot at The Rim by just you know everybody’s playing small we mentioned this before Chad fouled out early in the fourth how many plays did they get where it’s Jaylen green or amen Thompson or somebody that just jump and they jump with the defender at the same time and

They just hang in the air longer and then finish the play like just I think four or five buckets they got late in this game because of just being way more athletic than the rock than the th than the Thunder who are really athletic really athletic and and yeah exactly and

And and the youngest team in the league yeah and they beat him with back Cuts just like with athleticism and all that stuff they just um you know there was a there was a stretch at early in the year when it’s like oh the Rockets might be

Good and then they had a long a a sort of tough Middle where it’s like no they’re bad actually they’re one of the bad teams um but you you kind of like the NBA mostly rewards you for sticking with it and it’s like Jack LEL was

Unplayable ja L was unplayable for a big stretch he’s been really important during this run without Al shenon uh like Reggie Bullock mostly out of the picture is playing some like useful energy minutes he didn’t play very much tonight but he’s played catching Strays from Spencer dwit he too hey he’s fed

His family for 11 years um but like you it it it is the proof of kind of like buil of that sort of belief in your roster building that depth matters and that you got to and like why continue to add these parts um obviously like they’re at a they’re we’re talking

About team chasing the play in right so I don’t not like well they added Dylan Brooks and it really freaking works but it works like they’re they’re a competitive basketball team in in a really crowded Western Conference they’ve won 10 in a row they’re going to

They’ve just been out of players for a while uh Harden left them and now they had a five-point lead with like uh not a lot to go and with a minute 51 left in this game and they just choked it away but this was Harden’s first return to Philly

Were you first let’s start here were you were you impressed by the amount of booing or were you disappointed by the amount of booing because he did get booed but it didn’t feel um well they didn’t you kind of got to let it like um everyone needs to be involved in the

Hate like you got to really coordinate to get the hatred to be to really spew and during during intros they they rip through opposing player intros they should have announced him last they should have said okay Paul George Kawhi Leonard teren man of zubach and number one from Arizon and returning returning

To Philadelphia for the first time since this train and now the guy that and now the guy that you can all Boo Number One James Harden but they introduced him first and it was like it it kind of messed it up and like you know that’s a

C that’s a city that can boo right like those those those the fine people of Philadelphia um you know they’ll they’ll throw batteries at Santa or whatever it is like they’re ready for it so um so I was I I don’t think I was surprised

I think I think I was mostly um I was WellMed I was neither underwhelmed or overwhelmed by it felt like Mike Breen was underwhelmed by the amount of booing he was he wanted more ha he did was ready for it he really wanted it on the broadcast Philly built a 15-point lead

In the second quarter and it just looked like the Clippers team was just gonna clip again because this this Clippers team has not been as good as they as good as they’ve been on paper or as good as we think that they should be at this

Point in the season and it just looked like another one of those games they made a comeback and then late in this game again I said that the Sixers were up by five with a minute 51 left by the way the last one minute of this game

Took 15 real minutes took forever it took forever to finish so long uh there are so many wild plays kawhai had an n one at the 44 second Mark to to take the lead and then again with the at the second Mark to take the lead again two

And one drives in a row even before that even before that Philly had the ball uh up three and and Tyrese Maxi just fell over and they gave up a and they gave up a bucket the other way and like or not a bucket they gave up a fast break and

They fouled and Amir cavi spit split the free throws but it’s like they could have just had the ball in for 20 more seconds like they don’t even if you don’t if you get the ball in bounds and don’t shoot you probably win right like

You you catch it with a minute left and just give it back to them up a bucket with 30 seconds it was a lot it was a lot that was an inbounds played a minute and tyes Maxi fell without like even contact he just fell down yeah he just

Slipped he was he was running into the back court to get the ball and like on his way there he tripped over the the paint on the floor I guess U but yeah but then then kawhai hits those And1 drives just insane and then you had another one eight seconds where Maxi

Drives and falls down again going the opposite direction towards the rim this time it falls down that gets called for a foul the Clippers challenge it Nick nurse is chirping because he thought it was a shooting foul tyo is chirping because he didn’t think it was a foul it

Ends up being an unsuccessful challenge I didn’t think it was a fou I didn’t think was aoul either I thought he fell down um but when they they called it a foul on the court they called it a foul on the court it’s hard to overturn and

Then yeah that that was what that was what the pool report said is like we couldn’t overturn it basically right I think that’s fair if you call it if you already make the incorrect call there wasn’t an obvious evidence that he didn’t get touched but I thought he just

Fell over on the when I got to see the replay seven times on ESPN I can’t stand these fouls I say this all the time whether it’s against the Mavs four the Mavs whatever when like a Defender is just like standing in his space and then an offensive player

Just flies into him even when Luca does it against people I get so annoyed with like why is that a foul can the defender not stand where they’re standing they have to move and allow the offensive player to get by them I mean I just Maxi just drives right into the to

Your coffee and he’s supposed to like all right here you go go ahead here you go yeah you could make a layup with with the game on the line yeah and and then they come in and they get the the the uh UB drives so they get the ball back

After that foul UB drives and gets a jump ball ball gets Pinn a wedgie block by Kawhi Leonard um that was pretty physical foul on the pool report they said it wasn’t a foul it was pretty physical block um and then okay I thought that one was clean I thought

That one was clean beon good defense I don’t want them to call that I don’t want them to call that I want you to play defense at the end of games okay this was bizarre I text you about this um I didn’t tell you what it was but I

Said the end of the game was bizarre so they they go to the replay to determine whatever the to determine the jump ball and Nick nurse takes a timeout and his his final timeout leading into a jump ball what the hell it’s like he didn’t

Want to take it you know it’s like he didn’t want to drop one more play he’s like all right we’ll just we’ll take it right now yeah he just I I understand going like go trying to go quick out of the jump ball because you get a chance

In the chaos and we can talk about the chaos in in moments but like why did he call his timeout why would you not keep that in your back pocket very bizarre so then um they Philly wins the jump ball kind of like a funny like double tap jump

Ball and Kelly UB gets the ball just inside the foul line basically with between with him and Paul George and goes up for a layup and Paul it runs into Paul George chest shot gets blocked ball game he doesn’t even get the shot off right he it was still in his hand

Before the when the buzzer sounded he may as well have just taken the shot from wherever he caught the ball like off the Jump basically uh but it was it was a wild sequence of events at the end and just two Drives By UB that that was

That was your that was what you drew up basically or that was what you got tyus Maxi kept falling down tyus Maxi kept falling down you can’t you he can’t get the ball back in the last in the last minute of the play I know it took 20 minutes to complete

But in the last minute of play he fell down twice once totally totally uh by himself at midcourt and then another time driving to the rim he fell over like they were the Clippers were throwing hard doubles at him the whole end of the game too they they were they

Were doubling him a lot because of course that’s what you’re going to do then I don’t think the Sixers have done a great job with tyres Maxi getting double teamed it’s you know but they didn’t in this game I didn’t feel like either just they needed one like release

Valve and Kelly R was like I will be that guy I will be that guy late in this game and it just was not his moment he’s had a he’s had a good season for them like a bounceback year but he’s been good uh and then him and Nick nurse uh

Is coming back with a couple games left does this move you at all does it does it move you if you’re Boston if you’re like hey embiid’s gonna come back with like a handful of games left is what w said so he’s gonna come back with like three four games something like that

Does that move you that they’re getting him back if I’m Boston absolutely not if I’m the Indiana Pacers yes like if I’m the if I’m the teams right ahead of them trying to avoid the playin I think that’s Miami Orlando uh and Indiana yeah I’m I’m like damn it
