The final regular season week for the NBA is painful to watch if you’re a fan of the Memphis Grizzlies. You’ve been spoiled by playoff preparations and high-level play – neither of which is reality for Memphis, which was very evident as the Grizzlies lost to the Spurs Tuesday night. But as the Cavaliers game ends the Memphis road slate tonight, at least Memphis can take solace in Brandon Clarke’s play leading to interesting questions entering a key offseason for the Grizzlies. Man, this talk of clarke being center or JJJ? It makes Memphis sound like a Walmart team. A team that can’t afford a real center.
Does anyone actually believe this can be a championship team with a fake center?!?! Look at the teams killing it:
Minnesota- has KAT, Gobert and Naz Reid, 3 centers!!!!!
Oklahoma- has Chet, Jaylin Williams and 2 other centers, 4 centers!!!!!
Nuggets- has the Joker and Deandre Jordan
Dallas- has Gafford, Lively, Powell
But we are this, wear brothers shoes that are way too big team?
Get 2 real centers! Why the fuck did they trade Adams?!? That was the dumbest move! I’d settle for drafting two centers, but even that would be disappointing.
This feels like the twilight zone. Did we all watch Memphis without a center this year?!?! Did we all not notice that we were rebounding far less? Did we all not see our defense dump compared to last season, even when we had the crew for the short period?
This shit is maddening! You need a real center, actually, you need two real centers or you’re not going to make a run.
They’re lucky Desmond Bane or Marcus Smart was never an all-star, because I think they’d be in violation of the NBA’s star testing rules. There is no way JJJ, Bane, and Smart aren’t okay to play right now. Such an aggressive tanking job for the weakest draft.
