I don't believe you can judge Maxey's ability to lead without Joel fairly. It wasn't only Embiid out when Maxey had the opportunity to lead. Tobias was up and down. Melton, Batum, Covington, and others missed a lot of games. Maxey played very well without Embiid in games a good bit of the roster was present but Embiid does change so so much.
I hope if we can't get Paul George this off season that we target Trey Murphy. No way New Orleans can pay him what he is worth. If we can't get a star, we should get a potential star.
I do not see Embiid being in good enough shape to take a run too deep in these playoff. Better luck next year.
