A deep dive into Payton Pritchard’s recent surge

I took a closer look at Pritchard’s numbers and some films to see where his improvements have been coming from and if they’re due to more opportunities or maximizing his chances. Good read

And they didn’t even get to the fact that his play-making is the best it’s ever been. On par with the best bench play-makers in the NBA

He’s the only one on the team that’s got that fight in him. If everyone played like he does we for sure win it all. We got too many crybabies. Lebron fucked the league up with all the whining and flopping… now everybody does it.

That’s great analysis. I think they obviously need his offense off the bench in the post season and I’m glad you dug into his defense at the bottom. I’ve gotten the sense he’s a “don’t let yourself get beat” kind of player and he’s able to be more or less positive on that end. I worry about those specific situations when he can be ISO’s and just shot over. Basically the first nuggets game when Jamal Murray did that to him

He will be a 6MOTY candidate next year and will be a starter during his deal. I think Jrue is a starter the next two years then goes to the bench

I feel like everyone on our bench’s stock is going to go up and other teams are going to aggressively try to take them from us. But at the same time I feel like the chemistry on our team is so good none of them will be willingly want to go
