  1. Students in Paris are getting kicked out of their homes for these Olympics. They are kicking homeless people out of Paris, they’re not giving them a place to stay, no : they’re putting them in buses, and dropping them off in other cities.

The budget has skyrocketed to 10+Billions, while our governments is cutting on medical and social welfare.

They employed foreign workers to build the facilities, underpayed, overworked, unrecognized, while the unemployment in France is really high. And now they refuse to allow these foreign workers to stay.

The “boss” of the organization (Tony Estanguet) got paid 300K per year, while they’re gonna use unpaid workers (volunteers) during the event, who are gonna “work” (unpaid) more than 40 hours per week.

They’re trying to make the river clean. They can’t. They wanted the openning ceremony on the river Seine, but they just now realized how bad the idea is, they’re trying to lock down every neighborhood along the river, so basically you’d need an invite to see the opening ceremony, and only the wealthy will be able to attend.

And coutless other shitty things that I can’t even remember now, because there’s too much.

So my only question about all that is : why when a big event is shitty (World Cups in Brazil and Qatar for example) the international medias only criticize it when it’s taking place in the developping country, and when it’s a “western” country they get a pass and can just fuck it up without blame ?!
