The Lakers might’ve got swept last WCF but they make it seem like it was a blowout. All 4 games were close games. They make the proper adjustments and get more aggressive they absolutely can beat the Nuggets.
The only way the Lakers have a chance of winning is if they focus on defense and make it a low scoring series..I'm talking about 90's low scoring..like under 100 points..that's the only way they can beat denver..put Lebron on jokic and out AD on Gordan to get rid of that connection and have them clamp those 2..the other guys will have to step up if those 2 guys are clamped..that's the only way to win this series..Lebron needs to be the "goat" that ppl want him so much to be
As a Lakers fan I'm not confident that LA can beat denver.
What's changed since last year? AD cannot contain joker on his own, hayes fouls too much and wood is hurt.
Denvers forwards are really versatile, mpjr is too tall for our starting guards to contest on the switch and if gordon makes 3pt shots during the series he's gonna make it unfair for the Lakers to defend them.
Tbh something they can maybe exploit is Murray not being 100% healthy.
Plus last year Lakers could of won game 2, 3, and 4 if Lebron didn't jack up those dumb 3pt shots in the 4th quarter of all those games, the question for this year is if he trust his teammates to run the offense when he's gassed, I don't know.
