  1. Trade Dre, DJ, and Clint and completely revamp the team around Trae and JJ. Go get BI or herb from Nola and draft a center in the top 10

  2. All the trade Trae posts this off-season are going to do my fucking head in.

  3. Blumpkin_Party

Thank god I don’t have to watch this iteration of the team ever again.

  4. This is exactly what happens when you run out your GM and let your unqualified son call the shots.

Resslers to the guillotine, who says no?

  5. Traditional_Escape34

That first quarter lineuep with Wes, Gueye, Fernando, Bogi and Trae was probably the worst lineup I’ve seen the hawks bring out all season. In a do or die game.

It completely killed the game. Thats on everyone, not just trae, terrible terrible lineup.

  6. atlsportsburner

Jalen Johnson is nice and those two Celtics wins were epic. Go Braves

  7. Y’all talking about Trae like he’s Jose Calderon lmao calm tf down

  8. HaterSlayerr

This season felt like a car that would turn over but never start.

  9. Traditional_Escape34

The team has poor work ethic, loser mindset. Just need to let Snyder clean out the club and start again, noone should be immune, let snyder build the team he needs.

  10. Blazeinfernos

The more years go bye the worse the trae trade draft night looks

  11. coup9thermidor

    Another season letdown

If we’re not rebuilding next season, atleast make more changes.

Time to trade Trae Young for picks and young players

We have Jalen Johnson we can build around

I expect us to revamp our line up next season

Murray, Jalen, OO, Bogi, Vit, Bruno, Kobe and Mo can stay

Everyone can go wherever they want.

Well, see you guys next season

  12. Shade_Raven

Trae loses in the playin coming back from long term injury and surgey and Luka stans bridaging but Luka misses the playin and nobody was sayin shit lol

  13. cd-ringpower

lol. Now you guys know the one should be traded is trae unless you want to tank for the spurs next 3years

  14. Ufcjunkies

Thank goodness we don’t have a playoff bandaid over this horrible season and can go into the offseason with a clear head of what we need to do

  15. TraeOlder

Lol at people talking about Luka like he didn’t completely miss the play in last year?

  16. leeghandiz4me

An entire offseason of nonstop “Trae Trade” takes coming up.

    😭

    See ya’ll next year.

  17. HotdawgSizzle

    I love Trae.

However… I think if he parted ways with the Hawks, it would end up benefiting both parties.

I feel like he would be energized elsewhere and the Hawks could pivot their future in a better direction.

  18. No-Forever-6104

Blaming Trae young for that trade in 2018 is sumn man Ressler really won won’t get any blame for anything just the players taking the fault for his meddling

  19. Just love the overreaction of some of the fans here about Trae. Because the 2nd his hands heal up and he’s balling out elsewhere, they will be the first ppl to complain about the GM/Owner making stupid decisions but forget 8 months back, they were begging to get him traded.

  20. Shade_Raven

Rushed Trae Young back to ruin his PR

    This team is hilarious

  21. Proud_Feedback3288

    Trae may be fraudulent unfortunately

  22. Yall are racist af talking Trae > Luka just because of “culture”. Put that shit to rest Period

  23. ahend1999

is anyone else kinda tired of bogi 😭😭 i love him so so so much but like hes only good now when everybody is off 😭😭

  24. towunga45

I think at this point, anyone not: playing in college park, Jalen, or Snyder, should be on notice.

i love having a real coach and I love the idea of letting him do something like Brad Stevens, and I love how our young guys have hustled/grinded/dawged out this year

I hate having to watch a wildly inconsistent, mediocre, painful team year after year.

the Murray move/experiment didn’t work out, but it was a massive move by our front office. take another big swing and give it a shot again, or just bite the bullet, blow it up, and hit a full reset. half the teams in the top tier of the league are there because they built a great team through multiple years of solid draft picks and solid development. maybe we should try.

idk, man. this season was really hard to watch and I’m just hoping the falcons or braves can figure something out and give me some life again.

love this community, and can’t wait to hang out and try again next year!

    as always, go birds!!

    caw caw, caw caw!!

  25. Julio_Freeman

I don’t even care that we lost but I long for the days when our defense wasn’t a layup line. I’m thankful we don’t have to suffer through a series vs Boston. They got like 4 guys better on offense than Coby White.

  26. SincereFan

I honestly think Trae is an Top 5 guard in the NBA. I don’t think the Hawks have found the right complimentary pieces yet. They were on to something in literally yall most successful year when you made ECF. I dont know all the drama that followed but many rollers/lob threats with a few spacers surrounding Trae is the correct strat. Even better if everybody is an average to great defender and can play in a fast environment with Trae dishing.

I think a complete retooling is necessary even the draft picks the Hawks have done recently feels like bad fits and not even the best on the board. Trae with rim runners and spacers is deadly. A complete retooling is needed but the Hawks paid many of these guys (from what I recall).

The current squad definitely fits Dejounte more and Trae touches become very telegraphed now. While Dejounte benefits in this system that is more gritty.

  27. Chessh2036

One thing I think we can all agree on is Trae should NEVER have played this game. His hand wasn’t healed. I’m not trying to make excuses for him, he was absolute trash tonight. But it’s on the coach and the team to protect the player. They should have stepped in and said “you’re shutdown for the year”.

  28. bornsoja

If we get one of Castle, Buzelis or Clingan i will be satisfied with the draft

  29. wjackson42

I hoped that national championship saving shot Deandre Hunter would come out more often than not but instead we got tonight Deandre Hunter a lot more times. If this is his last game in Atlanta I just don’t know how to feel other than thanks but we can do so much better.

  30. Valuable_Contest6859

I don’t know where to begin. Just bad vibes all around. Go Hawks 😵‍💫

  31. theblackchin

We decided to go down the hardest path to win a ring and these front office is not able to successfully navigate that path.

  32. DownTheHall4

Yooo it’s all good y’all. We were missing 2 of our most important players most of the szn in JJ and OO.

Our youngins have really solid potential and had a few very impressive nights. Even though I have some qualms with our FO, the drafting has been great which is a testament to solid scouting – important in this draft.

We gotta address the Trae thing, but like, he stays or he goes, we’re just fans ya know what can we do? At this point I’m just hoping we can get absolute maximum value for him, but I know a lot of y’all love him.

Just sit back, enjoy the Braves it’s all gooooood

  33. PineappleGunshii

Imo I think a complete blowup is just what is needed at this point. Starting with the FO. Landry Fields and Kyle Korver are out of their depth. There’s just no direction and no sense of urgency to do anything (ofc having an ass owner doesn’t help but still). I would hate to trade Trae cuz he really pulls for the city and wants to be here, but a direction-less team that will be playing for Play-In spots every year with no draft capital is not ideal. And Trae provides the best piece that we can trade to get any sort of high value out of. Trae is a stud, and I will hate it seeing him get traded – but I am more concerned with the long term future of this team at this point. At this point we should really be trying to get back as much draft capital as we can no matter what it takes. Keep Jalen and OO but everyone else is on the block. Even though this year the team had been hampered by injuries and bad luck, this team is not getting past the first round in the next few years. Not with the Celtics, Bucks, 76ers (healthy), and Knicks running the top of the East. Not to mention how much of a jump the Cavs, Pacers, and Magic have made. The roster is just a bunch of bits and pieces that don’t fit together even if on paper there’s talent. So it’s time to blow it up and try again

  34. internallylinked

Tough season and I’m kind of happy it’s over. Get an early rest, fix up the injuries and get some team practice in during summer. I’m really hoping Trae, DJM, JJ and OO stay with the team and FO works with all other pieces to try to build best supporting cast possible.

Also, plenty of good NBA basketball to enjoy as a neutral, I’ll be pulling for Nuggets and Mavs and try to soak in the entire post season, I think it will be legendary.

  35. Shade_Raven

Not gonna crucify Trae for playing through injury off a surgery.

  36. Not a fan of +/- but our starters’ record tonight is quite funny. Capela and Dejounte slight negatives, Bogie actually in the + … then there’s Trae and Hunter

  37. Kcplayer9

I honestly want to know what has Deandre done in his career to deserve that contract. Wasn’t barely apart of the ecf run.

  38. Things that are not going to happen this off-season:

    – Ressler admitted he was wrong and hired an experienced GM and let the rebuild go through or sell the team to an owner who has patience.

    – Dre/Trae/DJM/Bogi/Clint being traded for their actual value. I expect Landry to trade for peanuts after this postseason fiasco…

    Things that could happen:

    – Possibly the SAS GM might be a genius and get Trae for peanuts and then reap the rewards with a fully healed Trae and balls out with Wemby. Basically trading Murray and a 1st round pick for Trae.

-Ressler bottom line is his money and may keep Trae because he brings in more $$$ than DJM.

Either way, DJM and Trae regardless will not be successful until that frontcourt is rebuilt with better players. Apart of the reasons we were down was that Dre didn’t score anything for almost a full 3 qtrs. Bogi was average and the bench was trash. Even Lebron couldn’t win tonight with that type of play we brought to the floor.

  39. No need to be sad Hawks fan. Our suffering is finally over the season has ended. The pierce to the heart was watching Coby White drop 40 on us. But this was what was needed hopefully our front office sees that things need to be changed and action is taken.

The bright side is the Hawks have basically secured a top 10 overall pick. The kings have a great chance to make the playoffs with Zion out and Ingram coming back from injury giving us another 1st round pick. We can use these assets to fill gaps within our roster. This can be the offseason where we can finally break the cycle of mid!

Deandre Hunter is a basketball terrorist.
