That’s why it’s so egregious in my opinion, it’s one thing to tell people to bet the over and then keep jacking up shots even if you’re doing shit, faking illness to pull yourself from the game in order for a parlay of all your under props to win is legit rigged stuff. Sure he wasn’t gonna be the deciding factor in any of the games, but purposefully pulling yourself to the team’s detriment is awful, and it’s absolutely fixing for those props. The guy he told he was gonna pull himself put down 80k to win 1.1M, that’s like +1400 odds, which means he probably told the guy to parlay all his unders (points, assists, reb, 3pts, etc), which they also have to be fucking stupid, because in what world does that not draw suspicion?
He has to have a gambling problem though, one of his bets was $15. So just like any of us he probably threw together a longshot parlay for fun, except it’s obviously illegal for him to bet on NBA games, and risking your career for a $15 bet signals inability to stop for me. Also betting on the raptors to lose is scum shit.
