    He catches a lot of flak, but he is a solid defender and a smarter than average player.

    People hate on him for the bad slump he had in the middle of the season while we struggled, but he’s a pretty key role player. Still plays some great defense, and is a low usage, efficient offensive player who provides spacing. He also rebounded from the shooting slump nicely, shooting 41% from 3 since the start of February.

    Don’t get me wrong, he’s the long term starter that probably needs to be replaced to take the next step but he’s been an important part of this group, particularly when Markelle is the guy who starts in his place, which allows teams to basically just play another center in the paint

    Don’t know why this is always so lost on people. His presence alone opens up the floor a ton for everyone else.

    He had a rough start for the season. Defense was inconsistent to start and the 3pt shot wasnt going in, but since he got healthy, Gary has been very decent.
