ive been treating the bulls like ive been treating the sox. i watch no games and spend no money going to the games until drastic changes are made. being satisfied with being mid for 10 years aint something im gonna waste my time watching. i rather be bad and young than older mid. i see no hope at all. at least the bears and blackhawks have something to look forward to

I might be more cynical in my approach, but I knew this roster was cooked when they got smacked by Milwaukee (without Kris Middleton) in games 3,4 and 5 by a combined 70 points in the 2022 playoffs. If it were up to me, I would have blew it up then. But fine, bring them back for 2023 in the hopes Lonzo is back. He wasn’t. The team was worse, and it should have been blown up at last year’s deadline for a slim chance at Wemby. No. GarPax 2.0 stuck with a mediocre team that made the play-in and predictably lost.
This year, AKME prove they’re even more clueless than I thought by running it back with a play-in team for 2024. They’re a play-in team again – shocking!
I called this loss. It’s 100% on brand for a Billy Donovan coached team: follow up a solid win with a loss to a team you have no business losing to. Yes, the Bulls should have been able to beat the Heat without Butler and Rozier. But we have a 💩 coach and the Heat have a capable one.
Nothing will change until that piece of 💩 owner croaks. He doesn’t care about winning. And Bulls fans need to stop going to games. At least Sox fans are smart enough to stop going.
This whole roster needs to be gone next year, with the exception of Coby and Ayo. Let them run the show for 24-25 while you tank. But ultimately it might not matter because this front office (outside of Ayo) drafts like 💩. Patrick Williams is trash and Dalen Terry, like the franchise, is mediocre at best.
But if I had to bet on what will happen… this dog 💩 front office will resign Demar (I like Demar, but a team with him as a No. 1 is going nowhere). They’ll sell us on an improving Coby White, they’ll do all their fancy “Chicago pride, Bulls pride, we’re Chicago stand up!” Blah blah blah marketing. And fans will pack the UC consistently to watch another mediocre, play-in caliber team. The Bulls lost again, but did you see Benny spill his popcorn?!? That was great. Sure, the Bulls lost to the Cavs without Donovan Mitchell, Mobley and Allen, but Biggie Bagel ran a solid race!
Stop going to games until the old bastard croaks or sells the team. Sox fans seem to get it, why don’t Bulls fans?!?!?

Meanwhile (only exception the covid seasons) we've been top 5 in ticket and merch sales for the same amount of time.

I think it's time we do the same till something happens. We've been rewarding mediocrity for 25 years straight. At some point we as fans need to draw a line and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

When i had season's tickets in the 90s in the 2nd Balcony of old Chicago Stadium, we referred to the people with seats on the floor, as "The Highland Park Sweater Crowd". It is these same creatures who are propping up this organization today, The fans who KNOW ain't going yo the games or buying Bulls hoodies, I've hated Jerry Reinsdorf for decades and we see now how NOTHING HAS FUCKING CHANGED! I said years ago, this franchise will never win with this current owner. Doubt it? Maybe look at Reinsdorf's other team, the White Sox, even more of an embarrassment than this Bulls team. The desire for a winning team keeps fans coming back, like Charlie Brown thinking Lucy is finally hold the ball for him to kick. Nope!

Whenever I hear this "blame the owners talk ", I ask…what haven't they done? They went out and got new management. Gave the management the ability to get the players they wanted. What else do you want the ownership to do? If blame is to be given it's on management for holding out hope for Lonzo and not making trades last year.
All of what Matt said is not new. The owners do not care about the Bulls organization and its past players legacy. The owners manipulates everyone to buy tickets and merchandise so that the owners can make money to feed themselves. It’s mediocre. So the problem is collectively the front office and the owners. The players and the coach are not at fault with this. The players, fans and coach know what the owners and the front office are doing. So we are not stupid. This is the worst ownership in all of sports. Thats why the sports media say that they are irrelevant.
