  1. Frustrating game. This game was an example of the whole season – inconsistent. And without Monk we were screwed as the bench did nothing. And let's face it – the Pelicans are bigger, stronger and more athletic. A big step back this season which is why I rate this a C- or a D. As for you Matt, thoroughly enjoyed your podcasts and look forward to next season.

  2. Trade Keegan . He is garbage ! I’m telling you ! Watch how scared he plays or like he doesn’t want to win

  3. Why did brown bench Fox for so long in second quarter?

Why did he create so many stupid set plays for Keegan ?

  4. To me the problem is the way brown has them try to force Keegan to get shots so much. Even from the start it was obvious they were going to Keegan and he just isn’t ready and he not good enough.

Why did they take Fox out sooo long in the second ?

  5. Good coach, good team just need tweaking.

Need couple of solid 2 way player

    My recommendation:

    Moody
    GP2
    Looney – Backup for Sabonis
Lester Quinones – for cheap & rotation mins

    Get rid of:
    Trey Lyles 🔥

  6. Mike Brown don’t know any offense other than shooting three’s they live and die with there three’s still copying warriors offense. Better do trades in the offseason trade Fox for another star. Fox is done for the kings he doesn’t have the quality of being a leader. Trade everyone except for monk and sabonis build around this two guys. Wake up sacramento management.

  7. Matt, Pelicans lost 6th consecutive home games. That is also a very bad sequence, so it was either they loose 7 home games in a row, or Kings loose 6 times from Pelicans. Anyway, I was irritated by premature celebration after the good win vs Warriors, but I wasn't feeling good about playoff chances and was quite nervous and couldn't enjoy the first game win at all, because I was 80% sure that exactly THIS will happen. I hate that starting five, I really do. There are two player that I truly appreciate – Sabonis and Fox, all others from the starting five and perfectly happy to be traded IF we can get better alternatives. For the bench – I don't know whether we have to replace anybody – the worst one (Mitchell) through the season turn out to be quite decent. So, trade someone only if you can find something significantly better, but for me the problem is not the bench itself (it is a Mike issue, how to motivate and extract best of them – when you make 2 mistakes and he throws you out of rotation – that is not fair and is couch issue to solve, not a bench problem), but the problem lays on the starting 5. You cannot have 2 out 5 good players and the others 3 to be rather bench players with limited contribution. For me, to have one 30+p game per 2 months does not justify your starting position (I'm talking to you Keegan and Barnes). For the Ellis – this is not his problem – he is perfectly fine player, the mistake should be owned by Brown – this player is not ready for starter and definitely not for playoffs. The premature injection in the starting five is Mike's mistake OR if you are ok with him (and the other 2 above) to be starters, then you have to accept the reality of Sacramento being next year a 10-12 seeded team.

  8. Kings were exposed for what they are, simply a "good" team, but have not made the leap to "great" team. This Pels match up specifically exposed that we are actually an average team leaning on good (against length), even after glimpse of great vs. Warriors. Also exposed, Brown had too little to work with or turn to (especially with Monk and Huerter out). Monte and crew have their work cut out this off season with some much needed roster changes/additions. We need consistent play 48 mins x 82 games next season from everyone a King next season. Go Kings, we are knocking at the door of being serious contenders, time to open that f'n door. After this season of inconsistency and adversity, time to learn from it all and grow into serious contenders.

  9. Yhe league switched to 2000s basketball and the warriors and kings soft ass basketball got exposed period just like the nuggets will get exposed and the Lakers OKC and t wolves will also get exposed

  10. Sabonis DOES NOT KNOW how to defend the rim…Murphy dunks -Sabonis just covered his face…PATHETIC DOMANTAS SABONIS

  11. Yes it's always about pockets. There is a thing called the CBA and salary cap. Major pickle going forward. Sabonis at 41 million. Massive overpay. He can't shoot the 3, can't protect the rim, and is undersized in the low post.

  12. Matt George 08/23/2023 – " Clippers are already the worst team in the Pacific Division. Might as well bring Harden over and keep it that way. "

  13. Major problem right now is our 2 most durable players (sabonis, barnes) who play the most games, are the 2 limitations at their positions for length and athleticism.
