Chicago Bulls’ playoff dreams shattered in embarrassing loss to Heat | CHGO Bulls Podcast
And just like that, the Chicago Bulls’ 2023-2024 season is over. The Bulls lost to the Miami Heat on Friday night, in a Win or Go Home game in the Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament.
The Bulls struggled mightily on offense, shooting an abysmal 35% from the field and 28% from 3pt. DeMar DeRozan did all he could, scoring 22 points, but it wasn’t enough.
Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro stepped up for the Heat in Jimmy Butler’s absence, and Miami pulled away from the Bulls in the second half for a big win. The Heat will now face the Celtics in the first round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

AKME post season Take aways:
1 – Continuity achieved! 2 years straight losing to heat in play-ins
2 – Pick up a bunch of 3 point shooters and play none of em? ACHIEVED!
3 – Make no moves since we have every piece? ACHIEVED!
4 – Is Zach Lavine happy? Last we checked he was laughing on his couch so YES! ACHIEVED

when they have drose they did not give him a player that could score consistently that is the only chance that the bulls have a chance to get a ring outside the jordan era because we have a franchise player in drose but knowing the bulls they are happy with 6 chips unless people don't watch bulls game anymore this team is not going anywhere because the owner knows that even if the bulls is not competitive people will still watch the game i'm done with this team unless they sell the team

Nothing personal, but fans like Dave are continuity/mediocrity enablers.
The bulls had no business shooting all those threes, and that’s on coaching. My grandmother knew Miami was gonna plan a zone. This was a game the bulls should have featured more of Drummond and Vooch in the paint. And once you see Miami throwing Bam on DeMar that’s on Billy for not using his centers correctly.
We need to stop blaming the team and pay attention to the poor game planning. A bad leader will get everyone killed. Sometimes you gotta speak up to save your life and I believe Zach did that.

I know a lot of people are going to come at me for this, but whatever. AKME, has not failed. You don’t fail until you quit trying. Here’s the bottomline. AKME’s vision was awesome. It was derailed by injuries. Did he try to improve the team despite those injuries. Not a lot. But who knows what his choices were. No one outside of the front office does. Only they know what their options were. Things like this take time. Some will say, but he’s had 2 1/2 years to figure it out. Okay, so what has he had to work with? Two injured players that take up over $60 million in cap space. Do you know what kind of players you can get with $60M? So with this missing money, what were the Bulls able to do since December 1st of last year. They’ve been an over 500 winning team. Obviously that wasn’t good enough for the playoffs, but once AKME figures out how to make up for the $60M in missing players, this team should be way better. I’m still holding out hope that AKME will get it right this summer and into the next season. I still believe in his vision and hopefully we’ll see it come to fruition with a championship level team

Let Derozan WALK for nothing! Reclaim the CAP Space, He won't get a qualifying offer anywhere near to the type of numbers the extension the Bulls would be paying, Lavine has to return and play at high enough level where he could be moved. Keep Ayo and Coby, value contracts. Let Pat Williams seek a qualifying offer, he is damaged goods and a huge disappointment as the #4 pick. Release Lonzo using the injured player exception, he's never gonna make it back at a high level. The rest is mostly crap, with Vucevic at the top of that list, virtually an un-tradeable contract, unless they were to attach assets in order to move him, not recommended, especially since they already massively overpaid to get him, and to keep paying now again to move him would be ludicrous. Giving him that last extension was simply idiotic. It's a sinking ship without enough lifeboats. NBA HELL for years to come.
Don't understand the hate for the fans showing up to the Bulls games the Bears have sucked for years and years and people watch and show up every game it took the Cubs 100 years to win a world series and people still showed up Last I checked the Chicago White Sox only won 1 world series in my lifetime and people still show up to the games Don't understand why none of that is brought up when the Bulls have been more successful at winning then any of those teams probably combined in my lifetime but I have to look it up and see
I never thought I would hear myself say this but we need a owner like the Clippers it's not about making money for him because he has it its about winning and taking over LA and he is putting him money into that team we need that in Chicago instead we have a guy who just wants to own the team to make money not to win
