Man, that was a rough game. I think they will bounce back in game 2 though.
Good for Carlisle's career that the media and Indiana "journalists" are completely ignoring his clear botches and mindboggling decisions.
-playing 11-man rotation in the PLAYOFFS, w/ the TJ/Sheppard/Haliburton backcourt.
-giving Doug McDermott minutes in the PLAYOFFS, who has been unplayable in the playoffs throughout his entire career
-still having a shitty defense

Fair play to anyone that did load up on Milwaukee. They opened at -31/2 and close at +2. Vegas wouid have lost ALOT of money if the Pacers covered that spread tonight. Rarely have i seen A line move that much before.
All the signs were there for A Pacers blowout loss. It literally doesnt surprise me at all and honestly the best thing that might have happened to them.
Because if this team came in thinking the series was already won and the game was in the bag, they are the ones that will be swept 4-0.
I love Tyrese chirping and trash talking. I love all of it. But i KNEW itd lit A fire in Lillard. Go ask Westbrook and Paul George when they played Portland in the playoffs with okc.
Lillard might have sleep walked this entire series with Giannis out and give him an out to be back home with his family in Portland.
Now this team has ALL its swag and confidence back.

This team is where they are at in large because of Obi. Jalen and TJ. Theyve got to be better. They are a HUGE reason this team is here in the 1st place
Haliburton just isn’t the same guy since all star break, life comes at u fast when u don’t stay humble. But this season will be a learning experience for him and he will have a great career. This team also should’ve found a way to keep Bruce Brown.
Does anyone remember when Reggie wore the Superman T under his warm ups before game 1 of a series vs the Bucks? That is the kind of leadership we need from Tyrese. Siakim needs some help, he played great all be it in vain.

The fact that Giannis didnt play or isnt going to play means absolutely nothing as far as how they approach these games.
Goodness God youve said it 15 times this podcast and 6 times the last 4 minutes.
The Pacers were 4-1 against the Bucks this year WITH Giannis. Jesus allmighty they arent some downtrodden desperate team that absolutely HAS to win before Giannis comes back or they have zero chance. They were 4-1 WITH GIANNIS this year.
They should literally play the exact same whether Giannis plays or doesnt play and the pressure should be literally the exact same.
If they are REAL contenders they should WANT Giannis to play, not stress and fret like Hell to win with him off the court or else they are doomed.
The absolute LAST thing this team should stress themselves out with or be concerned about is what the national media writes or says about them.
Literally the LAST thing they should add pressure to themselves about is to absolutely HAVE to win without Giannis on the court.

EARLY in the 1st when I saw Neismith Hesitate on that 3 and get called for TRAVEL/UP AND DOWN I knew in the back of my mind…these guys are jittery AF at least, and at Most about to get throttled.

Pacers have played down to their opponent all year. When I heard Giannis was out I was very fearful of a performance like this.

The jitters turned into an avalanche. That’s when the rotation of players started. 0-11 or more threes. Tons of mindless turnovers. Rotations that did not work. Just a first half disaster. Pacers picked a bad game to play the worst first half of the year. BUT – let’s get game two. We need to grab one of these. Bucks home games and then can breathe again. This game two super important and they need to learn to play in these high pressure games. Very clear who the experienced team was. Need leadership in terms of playmaking by Hali. Let’s go!
