The Wolves dominated this one with Ant putting up 33 points, and the Wolves winning almost every statistical battle. Oy vey! 😩. Suns team didn’t show up today. Espo decided to hide in a black outfit only showing his face. Weird.
They are so funny to listen to as they twist the reality to put the blame on the wrong one while laying off the one who destroyed us. The game started great when the Wolves decided to put Towns on KD and he was cooking him as he started with 9 of the 11 points to start. Then Booker took the ball out of what was working by dribbling the ball around taking all the shot clock down and either running into a wall or tough shot.
KD didn't touch the ball for nearly 6 minutes and that Booker hogging the ball gave the Wolves momentum. Every time KD made about 2 to 3 shots the ball doesn't get back to him for nearly half a quarter. I have been saying entire year when Nurkic decides to handle the ball, they are backing off him and guarding his 4 teammates he is looking to pass to for with an extra defender.
Book and Beal came out like a deer in headlight early. When Booker and Beal showed they were unable to get going early, Nurkic was trying to play make and it was tough to get any separation after he passed it because there was an extra defender on the hip of who ever caught his pass. Whenever he takes the ball out of the hands of KD, Beal, or Booker, it just means them having less possessions to handle it and get in rhythm early. Him playmaking means running around to get open when there are 5 defenders chasing 4 as he is not a threat to shoot from anywhere.
What really sealed our hopes early was Booker ball hogging, Beal just dribbled into walls, Nurkic wanting to be a Jokic by play making instead of just sticking to setting screens and rebounding. Eric Gordon comes in missing a layup and bricking every shot he had all night especially when we had chances to get closer was the deciding factor. Vogel has to take EG minutes and either play JO for defense or Bol for defense and offense. As a veteran EG just seems like a brain-dead chucker who belongs in China.
It is impossible seeing that Booker the face of the franchise stepping up and leading. The biggest issue all year has been he is a ball hog who doesn't care if anyone is open as he is set on getting his own shot. When the other get it going, he is the first one to put a stop to it. I have seen how unselfish KD is as he passes to Nurkic anytime, he is open no matter how many layups he misses. I saw Beal running down open and Booker didn't even pass to him, and he threw the ball to KD who was running to get open with two defenders on him. Remember our 4th quarter issues when Booker was the main ball handler as he is just playing 1 vs 5 out there.
Every great player adjusts by taking certain steps and him ball hogging is something he should fix. He looks like he will go to Cancun to realize while Ant Man who plays his position dominates him. You got a 35-year carrying the scoring, banging with Bigs all game while guarding the best playing on the floor. At least Booker and Beal carry the scoring if you can't defend. Show that you guys are stars and not some bums.
If you pay a LOT for tickets so that players get paid millions…it is OK…no…IMPERATIVE…that the fans boo. And next time taxoayer money is requested to pay for a new arena…fans HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO VOTE NO. Go ahead and move the Suns to Salinas, Kansas…I don't care.
Regular Season: No physicality / favors finesse players like the Suns.
Playoffs: Very Physical / does not favor finesse players.
Suns are finesse jump shooters. Wolves are huge and physical. Minnesota are dawgs. 🐺

I hate to say it. But Minnesota is going to win this series. Why? The Suns make too many defensive mistakes. Vogel was supposed to be a defensive coach. But he has failed. ‘Awful Coaching’ breaks it down how undisciplined the Suns defense is. The Timberwolves are a Championship contender. If KAT didn’t go down, they would probably be the first seed.

If you compare talents the best two players are on the wolves, and kat will only get better as series goes on, the rest of their team so good they maintained top 3 seed after losing kat for much of the season, they are young big and athletic, have the deepest bench in the league, the two best players in the series, and enough versatility to make adjustments and discipline to carry out the plan, what edge does the suns have over them? suns have no chance, not getting swept is win honestly

To many times this season that KD is treated like an after thought on offense when he's on fire and it happend again yesterday in the 2nd half. And mabye it's time to have an honest conversation about Book and that he's don't offer much when he have a bad shoothing night..Great players recognize when they are not on point and intsted trying to affect they game in a diffrent way..To many times he force the issue issue instead of trusting your teammates to do the right play. I havent had confidence in this team since December.
One of the BIG 3 showed out and did his part. The other 2 not so much, they couldn't do their part and even went as far as to prevent the one who had it going early from getting enough shots up.
The game was lost by 25 points. If Booker who had 18 gave 12 more points that and Beal wo had 15 put up 15 more points. Then we would have won by 2 points.
Not asking the 3 Big to do what they haven't which is to get 30 points each.
If you are having an off night, then let the one who is in the zone go make up that point you are unable to deliver that night. But don't start taking the ball and running around for 24 seconds if it's not your night.
