Orlando Magic seeking difficult answers, searching for themselves after Game 2 loss

The Orlando Magic’s Game 2 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers sang in harmony with their Game 1 loss. While there are still home games to come, the Magic have to be asking themselves some difficult questions as they try to find their formula to win in this series and stare down the shortcomings of their roster. Even if shooting is the issue to solve, there are no simple solutions.

  1. That Hornets game is how we lost home court advantage. It would be a completely different series. Cleveland isn't even that good…

  2. Great analysis Philip, very well said. It's a young team with a young coach in their first playoff experience, I really believe the KIA center could make a difference. Let's make it 2-2 now, Go Magic 💙🖤

  3. Respect on the Orlando Magic defense. Making it more difficult for Cleveland. I’d they get a competent offense they could be one of the better teams. I had my pick as Cavs in 6. It’s starting to look like Cavs in 5…. Go Cavs 🏀

  4. Coach Mosley is getting exposed. This team got away with having no offensive identity for three years but that won't work in the playoffs.

What's crazy is I had the same criticism of the Magic offense going back to Steve Clifford.

This team gets almost nothing going downhill. This offense has very little motion. This team doesn't know where to be on offense or how to run a fast break. That's a problem.

We desperately need an offensive coordinator.

  5. Can you do a smash cut of all the Franz shot attempts. He might as well have been blindfolded with the trash he was chucking up on his drives. He was terrible last night.

However, Mo was the most effective guy on the court for the Magic.

  6. Cleveland just better than the magic scoring in the paint with ease scoring from the perimeter better than the magic and out rebounding the magic

  7. Im a Cavs fan and the magic are playing like how the Cavs did last year against the knicks. the youth and inexperience for the magic is too much for them this year. the magic will be very good next year with more experience

  8. The problem extends beyond the players , it goes ALL THE WAY UP to the front office! This is the type of series that had better cost somebody their job, Weltman can get the hell out of town. A complete and utter embarrassment., EVERYONE knew what the problems were with this team. He sat on his hands and did nothing. Mosley can stay of course BUT I hope a new coaching staff comes in and someone can draw the X’s and O’s on the white board because this freelance running the offense through Paolo isn’t working.

  9. I like Paolo but you absolutely can’t say he’s gotten better with his turnovers. All season long he’s had turnover issues and I said it the first half of the season, next time Paolo has a bad careless turnover he has got to be yanked out the game right away and a message sent. His turnovers are absolute careless, turnovers, most of the time.
