Come on guys. Literally no Celtics fans agree with Scals take. Even Eddie House doesn’t agree with it. Don’t waste your time on it. Was it a dirty play? No. Was it reckless? Kind of. But it’s just playoff basketball with two guys going for a rebound. You could even argue Holiday gave him a shove. But that’s why it’s important to close games out so your starters can sit out the final minutes. I blame the Celtics for not pushing the lead to 40 so the starters could sit.

This Boston squad has always been fragile and this former player is trying to create drama to give his team a mental direction. Truth is, the perception of that win being 'so dominant' is tv fluff because of the 22 threes and big lead (oh wow!). But, in reality, the Heat beat themselves with horrible shooting. I kind of disagree with you guy's zone take the other day..we held Tatum/Brown to 40 and the C's to < 110 when it mattered. 12/37 from three is not great d on their part, it's bad shooting on ours. Turn just 4 or 5 of those to makes..changes the complexion of the entire game.

As a Celtic fan I of course have a healthy respect and hatred for the Heat. The Martin play wasn't dirt – reckless, sure. Unnecessary given the fact that the game was 99 percent lost at that point, sure…. But if it was reversed and I saw my guys crashing the glass to fight til the bitter end, I'd be happy. Martin was out of control and got a little nudge from jrue too, just trying to make a play.

So Jimmy sounds like he's done for the year, regardless of whether the year ends at Boston's hands or another team's. At least it's not an ACL or something, he'll make a full recovery, just gonna take longer due to the severity of the injury. Next man up. I think Scalabrine is full of shit also. I went back and saw the play, Jrue Holiday pushes Caleb Martin into Tatum. And it's funny he brings up what happened with Duncan Robinson because Jaylen Brown could've seriously injured Duncan there, maybe even ended his season. Duncan was injured a little bit but continued to stay in the lineup, had to wear some sort of additional sleeve or whatever. I was fired up after that game and wished for a round 1 postseason matchup so we could embarrass them, well we ended up getting that but I wasn't expecting so many of our guys banged up lol
Spo is relatively young, relatable and I think deep down, most players want to win. They have all the money they'll ever need in their lives, but once you make it in the NBA, most players care about winning and Spo has built up a reputation of being one of the best coach's in the NBA. He would never short change the game by ordering a "Code Red".
Jimmy has less mileage, less time in a star role so sorta kinda fresher legs compared to a Rose, KD or a Russ, Klay all whom played a lot of hoops and had actual surgeries. Bruh will be fine
This non story deflects from Miami true area of concern. We have no real stars on the team, and the future doesn't really look good for the Heat. Miami needs to make serious changes from the top to bottom. Starting with the front office, Coaching staff, and replacing players. Especially moving Butler and Herro as well as our g-leaguers.
Bam, Duncan, Herro, and Butler are terrible contracts. They are not stars. We need to move as many of these guys this off season as we can.
