Surely even Celtics fans can’t be that delusional

I know it’s from a biased source but that has got to be one of the dumbest takes Paul Pierce has ever made. Tatum in the Playoffs, 0/1 in the finals averaging 21,7 and 7 over 6 games vs Kawhi 20,9 and 2 over 18 games going 2/3 in the finals. If we’re comparing Kawhi’s title with us he averaged 28, 10 and 4 over the same amount of games against an even better and younger Warriors team.

You underestimate the delusion of the green.

Lol keep dreaming… Tatum is nowhere close to Kawhi

I dunno. Celtics fans tune into every game with the reasonable expectation that Tatum will be on the court. Kawhi just can’t be counted on.

It’s called click bait and engagement farming

I mean… if we’re talking all time, of course Kawhi is better – but at this stage of their careers it’s Tatum no competition

Enh, if you’re talking offence only Tatum is an incredibly gifted scorer. I think PEAK, healthy Kawhi is better but if you’re talking average performance over all playoffs frankly, you can make an argument for Tatum if only considering scoring

There’s no better basketball player then the man who set foot on that court against Philadelphia that series.

You simply cannot perform at a higher level than that. It’s among the very best superstar performances ever.

Kawhi’s run is pretty hard to beat. Winning all your series, becoming finals MVP, the performance against the Sixers where he had a few 40s and completely carried us and capping it off with the shot, then us being able to beat the Bucks and Warriors after that?

Championship runs like that are improbable. This team had a lot of demons, and he got us the ring.

Tatum is a superstar, franchise guy for sure, but he has not arisen to that status where you put the cap on it like Kawhi has done several times. However, he has a ton of time to go and likely has greatness in front of him.

Tatums incredible. Franchise guy that has every opportunity to get them another chip and one up on the lakers. Kawhi is a top 30-50 player ever and prime Kawhi is going toe to toe with top 10 guys. He’s regularly putting up 30-8-5 with all-time efficiency and defense going against Bron, Steph, KD, Giannis, Embiid, Luka over his career. Sorry Paul but nah
