  1. The support and encouragement shown here are uplifting. It's like having a sisterhood of thinkers cheering each other on.🐱

  2. Lakers are psychologically wrecked. I’d know. I saw my 2020 Clippers blow a 3-1 lead to the Nuggets and my 2019 and 2023 49ers lose to the Chiefs after being up 10.

LeBron finally found a franchise he can’t beat in the playoffs. He did technically beat them once in 2020. He wanted the Western Conference and he’s losing in it for most of his tenure in LA. No more cakewalks to the Finals playing in the LEastern Conference.

    2019: Missed playoffs
    2020: Bubble chip
    2021: First Round exit
    2022: Missed playoffs
2023: WCF exit in a sweep
    2024: First Round exit??

Makes LeBron’s 8 straight Finals appearances losing 5 of them look so overrated. Had he played in the West, he would’ve never made at least 6 of those 8 straight Finals from 2011-2018 because he wasn’t beating the Spurs or Warriors from 2013-2018.

There’s no recover from this. Do you remember when the 1995 Orlando Magic got swept by the Rockets? Nick Anderson missed 4 straight FTs and they didn’t recover. Then got swept by the Bulls the following year.

My Clippers in 2020 were up like 18 against Denver in Game 5. After MPJ hits a dagger three over 6’1 Lou Williams, I knew we would lose Game 6 and 7. Kyle Shanahan seems to be a perennial Super Bowl loser in the playoffs never redeeming for blowing that 28-3 lead against the Pats.

I know how it feels watching my teams blow big leads in do or die games. These Lakers don’t have enough mental toughness to get over this as they don’t have enough deep playoff experience except LeBron. Even AD has only went beyond the 2nd round twice. The 2008 Lakers with Kobe and Pau who are superior to this 2024 roster did not recover blowing a 24-lead to Boston at Staples.

It’s one of those losses that will give players some PTSD. The Lakers can be up 20+ again for Game 4 and 5 knowing it still won’t be enough trying to withstand Denver’s onslaught late. Lakers played as perfect as they could while Denver was mostly awful and the Lakers still lost!

It’s over. Lakers are done in 5. They will win Game 3 and perhaps it’s a blowout to show they’re not psychologically wrecked from that Game 2 loss. They will say all the right words how “it’s still a series” after winning Game 3. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if Lakers get 40 FTAs to Denver’s 10. But in the end, Denver still wins the series because they’re the better team even if the LeRefs will try to give one win to LePhonyGOAT to prevent a sweep.

It’s been 10 straight losses from Denver. Can’t the media take a hint that their 7th seed Fakers are inferior? A 7th seed has never won a First Round over a 2nd seed. LeHelp will get stuck at 4 rings while Jokic will at least tie LeBalco in rings before this decade is over. Jokic doesn’t need tons of excuses, scapegoats, all-star teammates, different teams, and at least 17 years to get to 4 rings.

  3. Seeing mikes name on a title of an espn video is actually inspiring. I love this pod. ESPN, you now have the best program in sports.

  4. I thought Darwin Ham made some bad coaching decisions. 1) Up 20, he shouldn't have been doubling Jokic. 2) AD was on fire and Ham doesn't run any plays for him in the 4th quarter. 3) I thought Ham should've challenged the foul called on LeBron with 57 seconds remaining. The challenge ended up unused. 4) The Lakers looked gassed at the end. Ham had 2 timeouts left and didn't use them. He could've used them to buy some needed rest.

  5. I'm sick and tired of Lebron James and ESPN making excuses for when Lebron loses. Lebron missed a wide open 3-point shot after he pushed off the defender and missed as usual. Simply put, he is not a clutch player like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Lebron grew up being the biggest and strongest kid on the basketball court, which is why he never developed any real basketball skills set. He is an average player at best, who has been hyped up by the NBA and ESPN to make money. I will be glad whenever he retires for the younger NBA stars can be showcased as the face of the NBA. Michael Jordan will always be the goat. Period.

  6. At this point I’m leaving the door open for Jokic to surpass lebron. If he wins another ring and fMVP we can at least start seriously discussing it.
