You don't have reasons. Ty Jager making his annual round of garbage "I know something you don't and I'm not going to say what it is, but we're getting *insert whatever player is trending among Spurs fans*" tweets is not a reason. So tired of these Spurs "insiders" making up garbage and then everyone in the space acting like they have some crazy inside information just for them to be completely wrong, delete all traces to pretend it never happened, and then repeat the following year.

I'd take Trea. 1st, he would become a better defender under us. 2nd, he would become a better shooter with our style of play and shot selection, with Wemby being the focal point. Basically, Trea would reach his Final Form with San Antonio
Clan, please don't let your personal feelings towards Murray conflict with the better of the team(Spurs). Even Atlanta seems to want to get rid of Young over Murray. The Spurs have always been a defense first kind of team and that makes more sense for the Spurs to prefer Murray. Best of all, Murray is cheaper for the Spurs to obtain and maintain. I really dislike Murray for what he said about the team when he left too but I'm willing to swallow my pride and welcome him back if it's for the better of the organization. Try to put yourself in their shoes.🙏 PS: Check out AM Hoops' video on why a lot of teams are not wanting Young for the price that the Hawks will be asking for. It'll really makes you think twice on wanting Young on the Spurs.

I absolutely hate the idea of Murray being back on the Spurs. I always felt that we couldn’t get rid of him fast enough. Murray is stylistically a terrible fit for the Spurs. We don’t need a ball dominant toxic Diva that cries every time he’s not the center of attention.

I don't want Young or Murray to be Spurs, and I don't think the Spurs want them either.
I'm going to be honest, I felt for Dejounte in that play-in game. Trae Young was doing BS stupid Trae Young stuff and putting the team in bad spots, including just throwing DJ the ball at the end of the half out of nowhere with no advantage created.
I get the theoretical fit on offense, but I don't think Trae Young provides as much for a team as you think he does.
Lord guys, why is everyone thinking about this the wrong way, Trae is garbage on the spurs because his offball play is useless, I’ve watched him time and time again and bro has no idea what to do, and his catch and shoot attempts are awful, we’d Have to play around Trae with him diming Wemby or Jeremy or Devin. Not with him playing around Wemby and Devins offball play. Dejonte is good I watched him cook all year he fits way better with Wemby and I have no idea how u don’t see that, he does the same things Trae does but is better at offball cuts and getting better at offball shooting he has worse passing tho. But I don’t want either of them honestly, we need a new pg WE CAN MOLD that’s why I want Rob, Reed, or Nikola.

People aren't interested in Trae because he's so ball dominate, doesn't listen to coaches, has bad history with coaches and being named uncoachable, doesn't try on defense at all. So yes, there's absolutely no reason to believe he'll come in San Antonio. In fact, San Antonio want to have that leverage over Atlanta. I've been saying this all year, Ik how San Antonio thinks. They won't get either Trae or DJ. DJ is more desirable than Trae because he's better defensively, not as ball dominant, has a nicer contract, is decent offensively, a decent playmaker. More teams need a guy like that. Put Trae on Clips, Mavs, Bucks, Knicks, it just doesn't work. Not the same story with DJ.
The spurs are waiting to see where they land before considering any trade. Spurs are not giving up those picks tho. I hope the raptors conveys this year. Four or five 1st rdrs is too much. And at this pace the 2025 ATL pick will be top 8. Plus their own, plus possible bulls, plus possible hornets
