I knew they would bounce back for this game ,but two things teams are going to go all out to get a lead at the starts,if the pacers can grab more rebounds I think it could be a big advantage.

Having Haliburton and Turner gives Siakam so much room to work. I really think he loves playing here because of the team dynamics that allows him to operate in space.
Obi is ahead of Jalen in the rotation again. That is the correct decision. Relevant because it seems like they'll have decide between the two this summer.

Now those are proper playoff rotations. Only 8 guys playing a majority of the game and I have to give some props to Shep. I didn’t want him getting any minutes after game 1 but he was great in this game and his minutes were super valuable. Great game and it’s gonna be bananas at the fieldhouse on Friday! I’ve got my tickets!

You gotta match other guy's energies too. You can't ever come out like they did in game one. Their energy/effort level was so low. I thought we were playing a preseason game. Rick should have called one of his early timeouts and let a 🔥 under their azzes in game 1. Then he should have also know better than to have ever played Doug McDermott. Smith I think would have been a very important piece for us. He has been in the past against the Bucks and is one of our best big defending bodies we can throw at Giannis. He's just not had much time to ramp up and now that we're in the playoffs. Idk if he can work his body up to playoff intensity fast enough for the next couple game's. If I was his trainer though. I'd be working with Smith like crazy to get him playoff ready. I'd be working that kid to death. Because we need him really bad in this series. We don't just need his size for D, but his physical play for Rebounds and we need his high % shot to return to form. If I'm thinking right, I thought it was a shoulder injury. If that's the case it's no wonder why it's affected him so much lately. I honestly hate the time of this injury for Smith. Not only because of the importance in the games missed leading up and the playoffs.. But because I like Smith as a player and would love to see him stay with us. I wouldn't want it to affect his ability to make the team again. Obi and Smith are my dude's. Just like Shepp and Nesmith are my other favorite guy's. Along with Hali of course. I love my team, I was happy to see them finally play what looked to me like their best game together they've had all year. Because when you think back even when there's been a win. There were always somw guy's who played well and then 3 or so that had bad game's. It's really sucked that we lost Mathurin. I didn't agree with the trade of Buddy Heild either.. It didn't make any sense to me. So what about his D at time's when he's a guaranteed 42% from 3. Good secondary, creator and passer. He had many nice plays where Hali would bring it up, then quickly dish it off to Buddy. Then Hali go run off into his spot and then Heild would take a few dribbles hit a dude with a crossover and then either swing it back to Hali for a 3, or thread the needle inside to the guy underneath the rim for an easy basket. Or he'd take it all the way if the lane was open. He was a very cerebral player. The biggest thing that upset me about the trade besides losing him for his shooting and chemistry with Ty.. But the fact that they traded him for absolutely nothing in return..?? Then out of all the player's you could have picked up or traded him for.. you go after Doug?? Like wtf… my dead grandfather can play better. We needed to replace him with some shooting, or at least a younger player with some size, athleticism that can play D and cut to the basket a bit. Had we done that. Then if our now only SG left which was actually playing a lot of SF for us because we don't have any of those that we play. Then we would have had a backup SG to help out if we needed. Because Shepp wasn't able to play, or had an off night. It didn't make any sense to trade Buddy this season. Other than them wanting to get off some money.. Whatever little was left. All it did was negatively impact our teams spacing and Haliburton. We could have just cut his minutes a lot when he wasn't committing on D. I really dislike the way the coaching staff and GMs have handled some of our player's this season. It doesn't make any sense to be so shorthanded. Not getting a SF out the G-League or something after trading Hield. So Nesmith would have some help there. We could have potentially found a special defending wing doing thing's like that. Or even a SG playing well in the G-League to take his spot.
They should have been playing Jarace Walker at SF as soon as he shown us he was capable. I'd given him all the backup minutes from that point on. Adjusted it if needed to, but he should have been playing every game since before All-Star. Yet now Rick wants to tell him to "be ready." For a couple garbage minutes.. I'd been insulted after how well he's played. I understand they need that extra play and burn with the Mad Ants is great for them. But he's already very good and we REALLY NEED him.. Badly.. Why we would struggle be shorthanded without Mathurin and Hield, no Nwora. Smith being injured as long as he has and still haven't been playing Walker is crazy to me.. We literally drafted this dude because of his great Defensive I.Q.. What do we need more than anything right now?? DEFENSE!!! He was thought to only be able to play PF possibly.. Yet improved a ton and shown us he was great playing the SF position and has the great prototype body for it with a 7'0 wingspan at 6'8.. Who also happens to have a very good passing ability and has been knocking down 3's better than ever from all over the floor.. And what position do we lack the most?? SMALL FORWARD!!!??? So I'm sitting here like wtf..??? Yeah, he's a Rookie. But so is Ben Sheppard and I'm pretty sure they were drafted at the same time. Soo are we trying to make our team struggle more by not filling our biggest need. With who could have very well been the 4th best pick of the Draft.. We just not gonna play that guy all year..??? Smdh.. I really don't understand this logic. It would almost be like seeing how well Sheppard played in this last game against the Bucks in a playoff game. Then saying, well you've played great and even though we need you at your position. We're gonna send you down to the G-League so our team will be without another guard.. Simply because I like to watch us struggle as much as possible to win game's. You guy's could easily help us win game's.. But I don't I want to play you.. lol??
Jarace Walker, the biggest position of need at SF/PF. Refuse to play him all season. Which he played very well at.. Makes no sense. (Play Shepp tho.) Jarace could have been playing SF and some PF since around All-Star. Especially after Mathurin went down. That way we could have used Nesmith a lot more at SG. So he'd have more in the tank to make up some of what we lost trading Buddy. It would have taken a load off all the guy's. Then when someone else wasn't playing well. We'd had basically a true SF.. He's show the ability and played great.. It's like well even though we need your position extremely bad.. and you're a good player. We'd rather go as shorthanded as possible. We will instead play guards at the SF the rest of the season.. and even though you could have went #3 or 4 in the Draft because of how good you are.. and I know we need Defense terribly and you were drafted for your quick reads and great Defensive I.Q.. Were gonna send you to the Mad Ants.. But were gonna play our 20ish pick Ben Sheppard all year. He's good too and we like him.. Same as you, but we just don't want you to play with us this year.. We want to struggle without anything resembling a SF as much as possible. Smith is injured to and has been.. Could have definitely used you in some backup PF minutes as well.. but no, I still think you should play with the Mad Ants. You're a great player though, definitely too good to be playing with them.. A pretty good shooter and passer as well.. But maybe next year.. But wait a minute.. You know what.. Now that we are in game 2 of the first round against the Bucks.. You should be ready..

No Jarace, you aren't in the game plan at all. "What, you let Shepp play tons of minutes in these game's." Yeah, well he's charismatic and I like his smile. We just like him more right now. "What!" You're gonna get to play Jarace. See I want you to come in right at the end of the game in the final couple minutes. "Once the game is already over?" Well.. Yeah, but at least you still get to sit with the team and take the floor.
😂 Don't get me wrong, you could really help this team. But we just don't want to play you this year. No good reason as to why either. Literally mind boggling that some fans actually criticized Haliburton's play. I was working so had to follow online but just streamed the first quarter and He has his stamp all over this game.
Goodness fans think A player only plays well if He scores alot of points. Haliburton controlled this 1st quarter and his stamp is all over it. I know the end result and i know He was a +17.
I also know they won the Game by 20. I also know the starting lineup played amazingly.
He 1 million percent did his job and id take this performance every game for the rest of the playoffs.

don’t see why everyone so mad abt Tyrese shots – clearly he believes it’s better for the team to run the offense rather than trying to be the offense. Pascal has been going fkn crazy and everyone too busy sh*tting on hali to give him credit.
I agree that when other players aren’t shooting well he needs to step up and be more aggressive tho, that’s why he’s getting the big bag right ? … right ?? 😅
