  1. The criteria for these awards need to be more specific. Coby statistically improved more than anyone else. I’m not sure what else he could have done.

  2. Kobe improved, but the team didn't and they fell short when it really mattered. I think he wins this easily if the Bulls win in Miami.

  3. Statistically he was best that Tyrene. They just did not want to give the award to him. I mean, coming from being a role player to play like an all star is a huge leap. The league trashes the Bulls a lot. I suspect that our performance as a team took a toll on the decision. For me, he won, full stop!

  4. Coby fell off toward the last few games, after he returned from his injury. The inconsistencies, is why Coby didn't win the award.

  5. Was Coby the MIP? He avg'd 15/5/5 in 2021 when the only other scorer on the Bulls roster was Zach LaVine. AKME drafted Ayo in the 2nd rd, signed Lonzo, Caruso, and DeMar in free agency and Coby suffered a broken shoulder. When Coby returned he was cast aside as a guard by the new emerging Bulls guards (including rookie Ayo). But Coby was still Coby good. It was Billy Donovan who failed to give Coby consistent mins. It was the coach's fault for not playing Coby.
Yes, Coby has improved over the yrs, but that improvement was to be expected as the 7th draft pick. Is he most improved? No.Has he been given a consistent role and consistent mins by Coach Donovan? Yes.

  6. Coby got snubbed. I’m sorry but the most improved award should go to the ones who played the most minutes and has started to grow as a professional player with his positive impact on the court. Maxey is good but he did not put a good amount of the work like Coby did. Thats just my opinion.

  7. Don’t think he was snubbed. He was great this season but he had some long stretches in the second half where he didn’t play as strong that impacted his chances

  8. Maxey's big jump was last season, yeah, maxeys the better player hands down, but he made the big leap last year, not this one

  9. Colby was snubbed! Yes, he had games he should've been more aggressive offensively in. I stressed that a lot this season because I saw his ability to do so, but Colby has improved far more than the rest of the candidates. So if that doesn't warrant the most improved player award, then what in the hell does? It shouldn't be called the most improved player award in that case.

  10. Knew it and told you so. You said Coby was gunna win over Maxey. As big dave said “Team success matters for every award”. Here’s your imaginary L sir. Your take on what MIP means is clearly not what the voters think

  11. How can you say “he’s already an established player” and then say he was still deserving to even be in the conversation after Maxey did everything worse other than the year before other than he scored more points. I don’t really even care if Coby doesn’t win because he did have a terrible end of season and I’m still not sure he is consistent enough to be a legit star. But Maxey already had a “star” role on the 76ers. James Harden should have won MIP like 3 different times when he was on Houston if this makes any sense.
