Greg Anthony: “You could make the claim that there could’ve been a foul called. But the reality is you could make that claim on every possession… The Sixers have to take ownership of why they lost that game. When you lose one-possession games, you don’t necessarily lose it on the last possession”

Exactly and not only that, Embiid as a leader shouldve handled this completely different in stead of pouting like a little bitch regroup and move on to the next game. Pick everyone up around you and motivate each other to play better and harder. They deserve another L and i hope we can give it to them again game 3. Lets go Knicks.

After that entire sequence we still missed the fucking shot. If they rebounded the ball it wouldn’t have mattered but iHart got a board while 4 sixers watched.

You can’t control the refs, but you can control that shit and they lost because they didn’t box out.

    Once a Knick always a Knick….

Fun fact: I got Greg’s autograph his rookie season right in front of the garden one day before a game. Some of the players used to come into the garden right through the front entrance like the fans.

greg anthony charging in like hes your manager in wcw/nwo revenge

This happened right in front of the sixers bench and none of them made a peep. This is a non-story that Philly is riding while avoiding the fact that their team collapsed and their coach choked.

exactly. knicks got a lucky break with the refs at the end which enabled them to do something VERY difficult that the sixers failed to prevent. it was more on the sixers than the refs that they lost.

How about the veteran Lowry IMMEDIATELY call time out?

  8. thedanbeforetime

yup – talk all you want about the missed calls. what I don’t hear anyone talking about is how that sequence lead to….a missed shot by the knicks. refs fucked up – you didn’t get the call – we missed a shot. full stop. everything that happened after that is on your team. you think you’re the better team? go grab a defensive rebound.

Thinking back to that Rockets game:

Honestly, being called for a phantom foul to lose at the end of the game is a lot worse than a foul NOT being called to lose at the end of the game.

Lowery fouled Brunson during his initial drive to the paint (DDV got it in the scrum and fed back to JB for the three)

Maxey blatant push off Hart to get the inbounds pass

IHart just fell down on his own after he got that offensive rebound?

All calls that could have gone the Knicks way but all the whistles were dry.

Even tho Maxey is killing us, I’ve grown to respect him a lot. Not just because of his game but also because he’s the only one that isn’t whining as far as I know. He never blamed anyone but himself even tho he was tremendous and made me nervous every time he touched the ball.

Sixers fans want the refs to be soft only when it benefits them. That’s what this boils down to. You could pick apart every single possession for ticky tack fouls. Letting them play it out is better than free throws deciding a game.

the sixers and sixers fans wouldn’t show us no sympathy if it happened to us instead of them so let them cry. It’s about time we got something over on those jackasses
