Luka and Kyrie are coming for world domination
Lively not starting is a way to buy time out of foul trouble. He's still a rookie and refs may try to nitpick him. Players get antsy at the beginning of the game. Even if Lively is outplaying Gafford, its good for Gafford to absorb some of the opening blows from a fresh Zubac. Lively is great off the bench once the rhythm of the game is established and the players figure out how tightly refs are calling games. Even better when Luka can get Zubac in foul trouble before Lively comes in.

How could it be 0-2 either way Mavs got smacked game 1 then barely pulled out game 2 , & btw clips are #4 in team 3 pt percentage at 38% reg season
I don’t think the role players played bad. I think Luka just took it into his hands and didn’t give them a shot. Some didn’t get a shot until 30min in or the 4th quarter. The ball have to move more and involving everyone into the play need to happen more. So far they’ve just been a screen for Luka or a cone lol

@Nick, I think you’re wrong about Gafford, he’s done so much for Dallas and to give up on him now would be a set back. Nothing against Lively but Gafford is the best at the center position. Kidd needs to give him more time and when he’s in they need to UTILIZE him period. He hasn’t had many lobs these last 2 games. THJ minutes need to go to JG – I truly believe THJ needs to sit this series out because he’s a Defense Liability and Dallas can win w/o his scoring with Defense. Exum needs to get some control and stop bouncing all over the floor like a chicken with his head cut off.
Mavs should EZ be up 2-0. Clips have only won 3 of 8 qtrs on home court. Mavs literally only needed to score 20 pts in game 1 second qtr, to be 2-0 now. Im guessing Mavs don’t score 8 points in any qtr going forward, that was a fluke!
I have a feeling game 3 Luka will figure out their strategy and lock them down
