It's GG for boston! Poor performance tonight and probably for the rest of the games. A number 1 seed that doesn't act like one.
utterly disappointing that the most talented group in the East was defeated by a Heat team that missed Butler & Rozier. Young and inexperienced players like Jovic and Vazquez showed the highly paid stars like Brown how to play basketball. Unacceptable.
The key to winning this series is Pritchard, because of his speed and craftiness. He blows by defenders easily and gets uncontested open looks from mid range. He would create havoc in the heat defense and would help the C's to get more shots from the outside. Let's play Pritchard 30+ minutes instead of D. White and the Celtics advance to the next round. It's that easy.
Spo will come with a different game plan next game and then adjust in game. I fear Joe is only capable of making adjustments between games, when what the heat did last game becomes way less relevant and can even be detrimental to focus on too much. If Joe isn't going to make proper adjustments in game we may be fucked.
Credit to Joe for admitting if he could go back he wouldn't do the exact same thing.
If every game takes on a life of its own, you need to adjust in the game. I’m hoping he’s willing and able to get better at this. Otherwise, I’m pretty worried, ngl

Joe is the weak link of the team. Of all the things Brad did in the offseason, keeping this guy around was the biggest mistake of his GM tenure so far
There coaching squad as a whole is great. Sam has gotta talk some ish to these guys for 2 days straight… call them in the middle of the night to snap on em.

Maybe someone can explain it to me, but why would a coach publicly talk about what they plan or need to do for adjustments? Isn't it logical to assume that information makes it back to the opponent somehow and gives them some, however minor, insight into what to expect. I would basically misinform to throw them off. It's like when Bill Belichick sarcastically told a reporter "I can Xerox you the game plan so you can send it over to Kansas City"

Imagine if we got nick nurse in the offseason instead of keeping this clown around. Nurse and Spo are two of the best adjustment coaches in the playoffs. Give nurse this roster and he ll sweep the east easily
They need to close out on shooters first starters. And other guys need to be aggressive on offense. White was passive until the 4th quarter. Porzingis needs to be tougher with the ball. Not worried. Celtics in 5
If playoffs is about making adjustments and matchups why don’t we throw out the double big line up and rotate our guards. Bam is all they have down low. D. White, JB, JT, Hortford and KP and rotate Drew with Pritchard and Hauser in the mix. We need to pressure the ball right from the inbound and not let Miami get set on offense. There not shooting like that for 7 games the defense needs to step up!! Martin, Jaquez Jr. and Jovic can’t do what they did in game 2
