  1. It wasn’t cause Rudy couldn’t guard on the perimeter— it was because Utah didn’t have the perimeter defenders that Minnesota does

  2. I think this is more about the Suns offense than the Wolves defense. The suns are playing without a single playmaker and are basically playing 4 SGs in their starting line-up, considering that KD basically is playing almost exclusively on the perimeter nowadays. How is that supposed to work, it makes absolutely no sense. They are totally predictable and are very easy to defend, KD, Booker and Beal all turned into very one-dimensional scorers that all do very similar things.

  3. Suns Tim forgot how to play basketball they have no idea about basketball including Frank Vogel he Is the Fort one to be fired

  4. Gobert is doing a fantastic job. He’s guarding 2 all nba players and ex mvps on the perimeter as a center. You really just struggle to say ur wrong and fully praise Minnesota for being able to d up the suns

  5. Rudy hasn’t been a liability all year long, he can guard 1-5. Maybe watch a Wolves game once in a while.

  6. “Gobert has guarded decently well” come on man give him more props than that. He’s shutting these 3 ELITE scorers down in iso situations. The three combined are shooting lower than 40 percent when gobert is guarding them. I’m not kidding when I say gobert is an elite perimeter defender on switches. Rudy is a top 10 player in the nba in terms of having an impact on winning but people will continue to follow the old narratives of “can’t play in the playoffs” and “can’t guard on the perimeter” like yourself a year ago when you were absolutely hating on gobert

  7. Gobert has always been able to guard adequately on the perimeter – the key is that with the Jazz, their perimeter players were such bad defenders, that other players would just blow past them almost every play, so Gobert either had to defend the paint or leave his man open, he couldn’t do both. In that game against the Clippers, every time Mann scored was the result of Reggie Jackson or another player blowing past his defender forcing Gobert to help or allow an open layup. With the Timberwolves, Gobert can afford to guard at the perimeter because everyone else is able to actually defend their man

  8. Gobert as a liability on the perimeter was more a product of how bad the perimeter defense was in Utah more than Gobert’s inability to guard in the perimeter. Was forced to guard his guy on the perimeter but also guard the rim because his teammates couldn’t hold up. This roster compliments one of the all time great defenders and he rises their level on defense.

  9. The whole narrative about Gobert not being able to guard on the perimeter was so dumb. Utah’s perimeter defense was so bad even though they had Conley and D Mitch but they couldn’t rotate at all so that forced Gobert to do so damn much and it became overwhelming. Gobert doesn’t have to do so much because Ant and Jaden McDaniels know what to do

  10. As a jazz fan I can tell you you that gobert has always been a good/serviceable on the perimeter. The jazz just had terrible defenders and gobert couldn’t be everywhere. Now that he has players he can switch with and known they can play good defense he isn’t getting stuck between staying in the paint and covering his man.

  11. 3:50 Gobert has always been a good perimeter defender the issue was that other people on the Jazz team were not, Mitchell in particular is awful on defense. Gobert can't guard an entire team by himself.

  12. Bruh the true Wolves MVPs are the refs. Just watch the games. Book and KD are fouled each time they touch the ball and the calls are not consistent on both sides thats the issue. The NBA is rigged as fuck and its never been more obvious.

  13. Another person talking about this series from the point of view of a Suns fan. #3 vs #6 but #6 gets most of the love when talked about. Minnesota defense is a masterclass but I almost just heard how the Suns just didn't shoot well excuses in half the video.

  14. 3:41 rudy might be the goat he told Beal to come here and proceeded to make them turn it over while Beal passed out of being afraid of him

  15. clearly didn't watch timberwolves games throughout the season if you didn't think Rudy could guard in space and are shocked by how he is playing. He's been like this all year.

  16. Feeling any differently about the absolute worst trade in NBA history? Connelly might know something more than we think. I think you should do a little deeper dive on Goebert before people start thinking you have casual blood. I enjoy your videos.

  17. Dejavu remind what 2022 Boston Celtics done on KD, no wonder if another playoff sweep will happen in this series🧹🏀

  18. "They're okay with giving up midrange 2s"

    Except they aren't.

The Timberwolves are guarding the hell out of PHX on every level of the court. FFS PHX is needing to set screens in the backcourt to get the ball across the timeline.

The Suns' Big 3 is not explosive enough to get by the Wolves POA defenders on the perimeter, which keeps MIN out of rotation.
