Enough with this Wiggins nonsense. The Wiggins rumors just keep coming back like Micheal Myers. I’ve had enough of the Wiggins and Bronny talk that they keep trying to get us to buy into. They just keep tying us to this guy based on the simple fact he’s Canadian and nothing else. The fit doesn’t even make sense and Wiggins contract goes up every season which would make him one of the highest paid raptors player while being a borderline scrub right now. Imagine getting rid of OG and Pascal to create flexibility to take on Wiggins big contact 😂 The man is so washed this dude doesn’t even want to attach an unprotected pick to take his bad contract. If Wiggins is who you’re creating flexibility for you’re not serious about building a competitive team. This isn’t the same young player we were once high on as a young Canadian talent. He’s almost 30 years old now and he’s washed. RJ and Wiggins situation are not comparable. RJ is 23 years old and there’s rookies in the upcoming draft that’s around that age. That’s how young he still is. I’d rather resign Trent over Wiggins.
Will never happen. Raptors cant afford to take on his salary. Hes owed 80+ million over the next 3 seasons and it scales up. They simply dont have the cap to take on his contract and build any type a team around Barnes, RJ, and Quickley. Browns 20 mil hes owed in that extension will be declined to afford Quickley probably. Unless the plan is to go a ways into the tax in hopes to trade him. Raptors need to still work out the max extension with Barnes, which he is eligiable for this summer and you really dont want him going or even being able to think about Free agency, just lock him and Quickley in immdediately then start making other decisions. The move to make with Boucher, is to find a 2nd round pick for him if possible. Free up the 10 mil and a roster spot. Unfortunatley I think we are stuck with Mcdoodoo, maybe he can learn something from his brother(over on the T-wolves) this offseason.
