  1. Obviously it´s never good to give up 18 offensive rebounds, but it´s just a consequence of the way they play. In the regular season they went 5-2 in games they gave up 18+ OReb, and the Pelicans by far best rebounder was a -2 in in a 2 point loss. At some point people might have to just admit that it´s working for them regardles of how bad it might look

  2. CJs last shot was missed because Wallace has poked the ball messing with CJs rhythm and wasting precious time for him. This was the play of the game, seconded by Chets last block.

  3. Feel
Like okc got that first game out the way now they know what to expect so the shots should. Be falling this next game

  4. OKC may have the best scouts in all of the nba. Also how do these cats keep getting years and years of first picks with legendary future hall of famers 😂

  5. man i’m telling you if we somehow secured lauri markanen that rebounding wouldn’t even be as much of a problem

  6. quite sad but.. the thunder defenetly did not play like a #1 seed 🙁 i love that team but i was defenetly disapointed. nearly lose at home against pelicans without zion… for a short while i thought we will see the youngest nba champions ever but nah.. now i think they wont even survive the pel's 😅 still very hyped for the years to come for some guys of that team! so much talent!! (like pretty much everywhere in the league.. great times!)

  7. if OKC made their 3s in the first half this video wouldn’t exist ☠️ they were bricking 3s that’s why the game was even close

  8. Thanks for putting up the only Actual Breakdown of the game. Everyone else just shrugs there shoulders and glibly says, "Playoff Nerves". Bunch of overpaid talking heads out there phoning it in.

  9. Great breakdown.
Thunder fan. Watching that game was nerve wrecking.
Chet was Legendary on the defensive end for giving up so much weight to JV while helping on BI.
Praying that it takes Zion 2 weeks to heal properly to full health

  10. I know its the first game but i can see this being a trend in the playoffs and this just wont work against teams like the nuggets.

  11. Great breakdown. One thing to note, some offensive rebounds are a product of them playing small with 5 shooters/playmakers on the court. Those theyre willing to live with. However they need to clean up the inattention to detail/mistake rebounds that are within their control if they want to control the series.

  12. I love this breakdown of a very hardfought defensive game. Both teams struggled to score or execute offense very well. The really inconsistant officiating put a huge damper on the game though, leaving me very disappointed at the end of it. While Dort was allowed to push, pull, hold and tuck at Ingram the entire game, one small pushoff from Ingram got him an offensive foul in the 4th quarter (shown in the video at 13:10) which is exactly what SGA did on several offensive plays of his own and never got called for.

The disputed play where CJ seemingly doesn't make a foul and gets called for it turned out to be correct, despite not being visible on the replay. (there was minimal contact from another angle) But with so much intense physical play being allowed the entire game, suddenly calling a game much tighter at the end of the 4th quarter is simply baffling.
Having a physical game is alright with me, but at least call the game consistantly and call it the same all game.

In the end, with how many open shots were missed, it is probably the Pelicans who should have won the game if both teams shot at least somewhat close to average. Everyone shot horribly on the Pelicans, except the bigs, who were just lower than normal.
I think for game 2 Willie Green is going to run some more plays to get Brandon Ingram to free up more. We've seen none of the one-dribble pull ups easy plays for him that is his bread and butter, partly due to the paint being so clogged up, as there was no spacing. Barely anyone managed to hit any threepointers at a reasonable rate. (or anywhere close to what they normally shoot)
Shout out to J-Will for hitting 2 out 4, you could say he made the extra threepointer that made the difference for the Thunder.

  13. The second quarter analysis with Jonas just keeping possessions alive is something overlooked a lot by people nowadays.

Players like JV, Steven Adams, Gobert and the likes may not be able to shoot but their ability to keep the ball off reading rebounds is huge in the playoffs where being able to do that consistently against someone like Chet or Porzingis can change games. It might not win you games but it keeps you in them, looking at how some games have finished already this playoffs that is huge.

  14. Channel is great bro. I took under all the suns players points after watching your video. Taking under an alternative spread tonight okc. A lot of defense being played
