The maturity of Kyrie Irving is top notch! He knows he can take over the game anytime, but he lets his teammates get the feel of the game by letting them shoot instead of him forcing his way to make shots..imagine just taking a combined 5 shots in the 1st half..it should be at least 5 shots a qtr for his caliber! He has a "team first" mentality..and when the he feels like the game is getting out of hand, that's when he takes over! 👏

The fact that the Mavs not only beat the Clippers by double digits in a horrendous shooting night from Luka (led by 21 at some point), but also kept them to their second lowest score in the season (shoulda been lowest if not for Plumlee's basket with 1s to go in garbage time) speaks volumes.
This is finally a TEAM. And defense definitely wins games.
I guess it's kind of expected that Luka's commitment on the defensive end will take a toll on his offense, as he's shooting much more and playing much less bully ball. There's only so much he can do playing 40-45 minutes per game. But whenever he has a "Playoff Luka" shooting night — and it's natural that he will have some (at least statistically predicted) –, they could even get blowouts, in this series and beyond.
Things are looking good. Gotta keep up the hard work!
(Also, props to PJ for laughing at Westbrick's face after that whole clownery, but he has to try and keep his cool cause this tends to escalate as Clippers' frustration piles up — specially considering Kawhi might not be in condition to play much — and Mavs need their key defensive pieces in place from beginning to end.)

This mavs team is so good, tough, resilient. They are great defensively. Best point guard duo. Really solid pair of centers. That mid-season trade was tremendous.
