This is the END of an Era in the NBA…

The NBA Playoffs are underway and we’re witnessing the transition to a new era in the NBA. Established superstars like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, and Steph Curry are all seemingly on the verge of missing the second round of the Playoffs as the Los Angeles Lakers fell down 0-3 to the Denver Nuggets, the Los Angeles Clippers fell down 1-2 to the Dallas Mavericks, and the Phoenix Suns fell down 0-3 to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Young stars like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luka Doncic, Anthony Edwards, and Jayson Tatum are taking over and becoming the new faces of the NBA on the top teams in the league. Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers had an incredible battle in what was game of the Playoffs so far. Let’s talk about it.

  1. It’s the end of the 2010 stars who made careers out of being given free throws just because somebody thought about going for a block. I’m glad. Those players can’t hang.

  2. Witnessing the end of the Lebron, Steph, and KD era is hard to see fr because that era got me into the nba and was my entire childhood. While its hard knowing their end is near im going to appreciate them while they are still playing and not take them for granted

  3. And I wouldn’t consider Jokic exactly “old” as they are 10 years younger than Bron. So Bron was 29 10 years ago as well and we still considered him in the 2010s because he aged well and accomplished most of his feats in the 10s. Assuming Jokic does the same he should be considered in the 20s era along with “younger” guys like Luka SGA etc

  4. OKC is the only team i would say got the easiest match up. My Lakers hopefully go home today so we can make some actual changes and not just have some Conversations. Suns without shooting can't do anything, they are just playing against the best defense in the League.

  5. Ive been wathching this dude since the beginning of the season and i noticed im not even subbed sorry dude here u go😂

  6. The Timberwolves vs nuggets series will feed families for years and will undoubtedly be the best series this year

  7. good stuff. this video also confirms the greatness and longevity of the Spurs' big 3 of Timmy, Tony and Manu. two finals appearances and franchise record 67 win season while they were all on the tail end of their careers. they deserve more credit

  8. If only warriors got the 8th seed and we could have truly seen the changing of the guard in all four western conference series.

  9. Shouldn't put Wardell in this coversation, he's still balling out of this world, it's the rest of his squad that needs to go.

  10. Can't wait for this era of superstar budding up, load management, and skipping games to end. I am glad the dark age of NBA is finally going down the drain

  11. I'm all in on this new era. Team basketball is winning. Espn and the like are going to have to adjust or die off too. They have failed to market smaller market, yet drastically better teams to casuals. Something tells me they will continue to do so at their own demise. Basketball YouTube is already taking more and more views. If silver can get a streaming deal done, the "face of the nba" will be a group of guys. It'll never be the same, and I'm here for it.

  12. The bron era been over for years now he just cant except it. Hes not even top 10 right now but the media is trying their best to keep his legacy alive lol I'll be glad when he retires because he created the narrative where teams feel like they have to win over night instead of building an actual core. Now he wines every year that he gets knocked out of the playoffs lol I think hes going to try and join another team in the offseason and the media will continue to give him more attention than players like Tatum, Brown, SGA, Jokic, Edwards, Giannis, and Luka (just to name a few)'

You also gotta factor in players having longer careers. 10 years ago guys werent making the allstar team at 35 plus.

All in all i do agree this era is over and really has been over for a while now. The league is much deeper now so the teams building through the draft are dominating verses the make shift overnight super teams. I predicted that years ago.

  13. I mean the way the Duncan, dirk and Kobe era ended was different because we had the Lebron, Steph and KD era loaded up. For this one we have Anthony edwards and Ja Morant, who have barely won a series.

  14. Of course it's time for the next era. The game has gone international. The top five players in the league are Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Joel Embiid. None are originally from the US. And there are only more to come.

  15. The longevity has to be admired. By 2014 most of Kobe's generation had long been past their most productive days.

  16. I’ve been following you for a few months now and usually agree with most of your takes. But for your favorite player of all time to be Russell Westbrook? Oh, I’m sorry, Westbrick? That really got me.

He was so out of line on SO many of his fouls against the Mavs. To get more technical fouls than points…. To be 0/7 FGA. 1 flagrant. It’s just an embarrassing stat line. Embarrassing to the Clippers and embarrassing to the league. I don’t know how much louder I’d say he was my favorite player of all time.

Agree with your takes on the young and talented Thunder (apart from p*edetor Giddey) 🗑️

At some point you need to just call a spade a spade.

  17. Hey, great finals coverage, my dude! I was thinking the same thing about end of an era.

I'd only add that it's even more remarkable that the old heads (Middleton, Horford, Conley, and others) continue to play at such a high level!

  18. Still can’t get over how Dallas moved on from Brunson and gave up a lot to get Kyrie!? Dallas dumb, front office anyway.

  19. This was an insightful video and breakdown. It looks like we are entering a new era of basketball and the NBA. ❤❤❤❤🏀🏀🏀🏀⛹️⛹️⛹️⛹️⛹️‍♂️⛹️‍♂️⛹️‍♂️⛹️‍♂️

  20. Basically the 2010s gen is old and the 2020s gen is getting established. Jokic, giannis, luka and wemby gonna fight for this decade.

  21. Yep, let's enjoy their last games and appreciate what they brought to the game.
Everyone ages and will not always be on top, so let's be kind and not be too hard on them.
