The Celtics are not soft and they are different from last year. JT and JB are counter punchers. For the many who didnt panic then this was expected.
the Celtics didnt break any records. the Jays didnt “go off”. there were 4 guys in double digits— the Jays w 22 a piece & KP + Dwhite in the teens.
nothing on paper jumps out as outstanding about the team or individual players’ performances.
& yet the Celtics won by 20 in a game they led from tip to buzzer & even amassed a 30 point margin.
THATS what the Celtics should be doing every night.
there is so much talent on this team they should never need 40 points from ANYONE in order to win.
all they need is focus, effort & average production from their rotation guys & they will cruise. theyre that good.
the things they lack that lead to losses like game 2 are all mental, all effort, all strategy.
Celtics just need to get out of their own way for 14 more wins & banner 18 goes up in the rafters & everybody on the roster is a legend in the city & the league forever.
there is no more important single championship than the 1 that gives a franchise the most in history.
no more game 2’s.

The Heat have been playing above their pay grade for at least 2 seasons now, not so much last year, but this one for sure, but…look at the whimper they made in the Finals too. This is insidious too, since when they get to the big dance, it becomes all-to-clear that they're outclassed, and aren't the best representative of the East – again – like last year. I say, if you're gonna play like that against us, then at least go win the thing, and not go out with their tail between their legs in a 1 game to 4 gentleman's sweep.
