Would Clint Capela be a good backup? Pels might also move on from Jonas

  2. CPTHoagie

Tobias Harris makes 39 million dollars he’s made 11 field goals the whole series. Clearly the problem is Joel Embiid.

  3. Dry-Spite9620

To the fans who have tried to discredit the Knicks, can ya’ll now swallow your pride and give them props where it’s due. That team has a lot of grit and is grindy all 48 minutes. You can’t teach hustle and effort. Those offensive boards were killing us in the 4th when it mattered the most.

And I love Embiid as much as the next person but the foul baiting has got to stop. It caused us 2 points in the closing seconds. Passed up on a middy and an easy layup to initiate contact to draw the foul instead. NN can’t be having Embiid out there for 40+ minutes and not expect it to have an effect on the court. You either gotta trust Reed so Joel can rest or switch up the lineups when the current one is not working.

  4. jambomyhombre

I’m gonna die before I see the sixers win a championship, aren’t I?

  5. To go from people honking their horns all over the city after beating the Lakers in G1 to having Knick fans takeover the WFC when we’re down just 2-1 is an absolute disgrace. No matter what this sub tries to tell you the Sixers will stay third fiddle behind the Phils and Eagles until this franchise shows that it has any kind of spine. And no, the new stadium alone is not going to remedy it.

  6. Stars are bound to run out of steam when they’re getting nothing from the bench the whole game. Joel was tired by the 4th cos the Knicks kept attacking his mobility in the paint, he had to help control the rebounds, score and playmake on half his legs and face. The bench has got to be better and contribute. Everyone has to play better on the boards. Nurse has to find a way to win non-Embiid and non-Brunson minutes. And Elton Brand…fuck you. The contract is equivalent to Hart, DiVincenzo and Hartenstein — not in production but in cost.

When we free up The Contract tho, I think we should get a 3rd bonafide star and leader with a killer instinct. I appreciate Joel and all he’s done for Philly, but I think it’s time to accept he’s not a leader with the mental and physical toughness to withstand the playoffs.

can we finally call the process a failure? we could have skipped it and had same results without the 6 years of horrific teams.

  8. allianceofficer

Officiating totally changes in the playoffs. This sixers team doesn’t have enough players that stretch the limits of legal play in orders to win games in the playoffs.

They need guys that hack everyone all the time, constantly swiping. They need guys that hold jersey so guys can’t go up for a rebound. They need guys that will give some shoves to get a rebound. They need guys that will shove and hack to get a lose ball.

There’s just no grit and the Knicks have that grit. The Knicks are getting away with calls because it’s the playoffs and they are taking advantage by containing to push the limits. It works.

Sixers have a guy that’s never drawn a charge in his life playing 30 minutes.

  9. Viggo8284

Biggest eye opener of this series is finding out the sheer amount of absolute frauds that have season tickets. Shameful that the Knicks will have 5 straight home games

  10. CPTHoagie

The problem on this sixers team is not the backup center…they cant score when Embiid and Maxey both arent on the court my god…cmon people.

  11. jorgelongo222

WFC fucking sucks. Fans need a total re-do and i dont even know how anything can change. Maybe we really need to tank for a few years and then people may cheer again when things look promising. The crowd has sucked all the last recent playoff runs and today it jusr wasnt a home game at all.

  12. Refs fucking us in game 2 pretty much sealed our fate this series, couldn’t afford any slip ups like today after getting robbed.

  13. Odd_Calligrapher_407

That fourth quarter looked like a doc rivers offense. Five minutes left and we knew that bird was cooked…

  14. xXxdethrougekillaxXx

its that time of the year to break out the poop flair

  15. evandobrofo

Taijuan Walker just had one of the craziest double plays I’ve ever seen so that helps

  16. OnABoatWithAGoat

One more game and then it’ll be time for some conversations nobody in this city seems to want to have about whether 7 seasons of injury marred failure is enough of a sample size or not.

  17. reini_urban

Josh Hart 0/7 and we still lost??? How can that happen?

  18. Msjudgedafart

So what I’m hearing is Embiid can do everything and if Embiid is so great why can’t he do everything. Fuck! The guy can’t sit without us blowing 12 pt swings everytime. That’s not his fault. We need key players to contribute one way or another. He was gassed at the end and that had nothing to do with conditioning. Dudes putting it all out there as far as I can see.

  19. Tobias could’ve been traded at the deadline. It would’ve cost some assets but we could’ve brought back a much better shot creator. The guy is expiring and nearly useless in our forward rotation as it stands. What a fumble.

  20. Different-Ad9986

Yeah well…Suarez is pitching fantastic so far this season and howie did a great job with the draft this year. Sad that we’ll lose bball to the jazz if we lose this series…Danny fuckin ainge😔

  21. jeppsforst

Sure would be feeling a lot less awful right now with game 2 going the other way

  22. Fast-Pipe924

So Kelly maxey and Embiid the only ones wanting this series?

  23. karenputmeinachair

I don’t blame anyone for selling their tickets. The trauma this team has given their fanbase is real. Give us a reason to show up and we will.

  24. WanderingWormhole

I just fucking hate this team. I rep them hard, I watch every damn game, and for some stupid reason I think something’s going to change. Embiid is a good basketball player, but his reliance on free throws and inability to keep his composure makes me worried we’re never gonna get close to a championship.

  25. HornetsHornets1

We should trade Embiid to the Knicks so they HAVE to cheer for him.

  26. Viggo8284

Going back over the stats and Precious Achuwia really had FOUR blocks in the 4th quarter alone? Lol stick a fork in this team man

  27. Sure-Bar-375

It’s kinda crazy how if the refs didn’t completely rob us of Game 2, it would be a 2-2 series. Even with how shitty we’ve been playing. We can win 3 in a row

  28. Viggo8284

Peak process era ended with Kawhi 5 years ago. Slow, yet painful downward spiral ever since.

  29. Funny_Games23

Lot of overreactions in here the Knicks were always our hardest non celtics draw and thyere showing why just a bit tougher than us but were playing with a team that darryl made on the fly throughout the season. Right now we have a legit core all of our draft picks and cap space if we can move this pick on draft day for a guy like jerami grant and were already in a better position than we are right now. I see alot of light in this tunnel but well have to load manage Jo

  30. shrek_cena

Imagine if we had someone like drummond to grab boards bruh we’d be waiting for the pacers already

  31. At least we never have to see Tobi play at home again.

PG going nuts tonight, LBJ & KD’s seasons almost over…

    Get to work, Morey!

  32. blueboglin

If we spend all of our money on Paul George this off-season, I’m done with the NBA

  33. Hot-Command-551

i mean if you steal the next game at the garden , come back home and win, then anything goes game 7

  34. That felt reminiscent of Game 6 last year. A winnable game at home where the offense stalled and they couldn’t get a FG in the 4th. Won’t be surprised if they get blown out at MSG next game.

  35. Knight725

i really hope none of the idiots brigading this sub are adults because i’ll have lost all faith in humanity.

  36. IceBearLikesToCook

The Sixers lost because they weren’t the better team tonight.

  37. Beagleoverlord33

We have a white corner anything is possible. Don’t lose faith.

  38. LordLucasSixers

Let’s be honest, we saw this coming.

  39. GirlWithGame

Sorry I was driving home. It’s a crime making Embiid play the whole second half. I get they wanted to win but he was so tired at the end and still trying to make plays. We got another game. It’s not over till it’s over imo.

Anyone not named Maxey,Kyle,Embiid, and sometimes Oubre can take a hike.

  40. forgetmeknot01

I really thought our bench was going to be better this year. Buddy has been such a disappointment. I thought him and batum were gonna grab at least 12 or 15 with all the extra space.
