Will the Suns playoff demise kickstart the Brooklyn Nets rebuild?

The Suns appear headed out of the playoffs and that could have ramifications on the Nets moving forward. Of course, the Nets own much of the Phoenix draft for the next few years, and a playoff flame out could speed that timeline up.

Would Phoenix blow things up next season? How valuable are those picks going forward? There’s actually a lot on the table here for Brooklyn.

  1. I think Nets fans need to give Sean Marks some credit in the fact he did clean the Suns whole draft chest out in trading KD to them….

Now the Suns are facing the "consequences" of their all in move and it's led them to be $200+ million in the second apron tax which prevents them from using the MLE or signing any player in the buyout market….

More importantly they lack a legitimate point guard, an athletic center and have no lock down defenders….

Brooklyn now has some extra control going into 2025 where they will have $80-$90 million in cap space and 10 first round draft picks on top of that 😎….

So while a rebuild is one important route Brooklyn can still choose if management has a change of heart Brooklyn does have a lot of flexibility and options when the 2025 off-season comes the Nets way….

  2. NBA media: KD, whose the leader of the Suns???

Kevin Durant: The head coach Frank Vogel is the leader😮….

Anyone else getting a sense of a dejavu 😂😂😂….

  3. Doug I understand that Brooklyn not owning their own picks until 2027 is a problem as far as controlling their own destiny goes but these Suns picks are "valuable currency" especially since they are all unprotected in which a lot of teams in the league are going to eventually value especially if the Suns break up their trio even sooner than expected….
