  1. I mean it make sense to draft Dilly who has the most offensive upsides of the backcourt in this draft.
He might not be the most all-rounded choice, but the other guys in the draft are either specialists of
one department or massive bust potential with undeveloped skills.

  2. I would love Dilly to land in SA!!
Him and M Buzzy alongside Slenderman!! Dilly, Vassell, Buzzy, Wemby and a nice defensive PF and we are good 2 go once we get a couple bench players

  3. It all depends on the positions we are getting now,I’m convinced the Spurs will draft Dilly with a top 3 pick no matter what
if they get it. Let’s see which team will draft Dilly before us potentially, Pistons nah,got 2 guards with great talent already,
Blazers nah,got Scoot and Simons,Hornets probably not with Lamelo still being their star potential.

I think that cleared 3 teams at least, our problem should be if the Raptors surpass our position or if Wizard draft a PG.
The Raptors could use a backup combo, and the Wizards are basically in need of every thing. I don’t even want to think about the idea of Memphis,Utah ,or even Brooklyn surpassing us in the draft…

  4. Only thing that worries me is topic is a spurs kinda player and I don’t have doubts there’s a chance we still pick him over rob sadly

  5. Dillongham is does not play defense and is a shoot first, undersized guard. I guess if they say he fits the Spurs, he would be another miss. Spurs like players that play defense first, i.e. DeJounte, DWhite, Sochan. Also, he would be a smaller version of Malaki Brenham

  6. I love Reed better personally, although I wouldn't hate drafting Rob. I just think the shooting and two-way potential from Sheppard is better for us around Wemby atm.
Reed is a very very smart player, and Basketball IQ is the most important thing for a roster to win championships.
Great vision, and great reads (on offense and defense).
Some of his defensive metrics are ridiculous for a guard his age.
Pretty complete player in this draft class.
    Plays the right way.
    Great effort on defense.
    0 Ego. Team player.
    No arrogance, but great confidence.
    A coach's dream.
Good upbringing (2 excellent Basketball players, seems like a stable family).
    Sneaky underrated Athleticism.

The shot is one of the best we've ever seen from a guy his age.
The form is absolute purity, it's so consistent.
He shoots it from NBA-range all the time, off-the drible, catch and shoot, you name it.
The three is at 52% and 4+ attempts on THE WHOLE SEASON FFS!!!!
These numbers are from Wemby's home planet…

And can play off-ball and on-ball, which is great for positionless ball, where you can have everyone, defending, shooting, and sharing the ball around a heliocentric Center like Wemby, ala Jokic.
It can be very good to have a versatile combo-guard that can complete a starting line-up, be a 6th man, a floor general, or a shooter, depending on what we need at a given instant.

He's 1 inch taller than Curry and has the same wingspan (for reference), so it's not like we have never seen guys make it in the NBA with these dimensions.

Needs to work on his handles a bit to create more space at the next level, and finishing at the rim more often (espeically on his left hand), as well as improving the on-ball defense, but the Spurs are a great place for that.
Defense is about effort and quick feet first and foremost, which he doesn't lack at all.

But yeah, what a joy to watch, has a higher ceiling than what it seems imho, and seems to be the ultimate Spursey player.

  7. Yeah if I was a rookie, I would want to go to the Team that is most likely to win MULTIPLE championships!
Doesn't mean it will happen, BTW mock drafts don't matter.
    This article is meaningless.

  8. I'd not be mad about Rob Dillingham. He's not pefect (undersized, not good on D, not a "pass first") but he can shoot and create his own shot!

  9. Many of us have heard about the outstanding player development in San Antonio, and that may be the biggest reason why some rookies prefer the Spurs.
